    I always wondered how to tangibly deduce whether or not I should take knowledge from someone outside of does this “sound” or “feel” right. They need to reference Allah swt. Words, the prophet saw. sayings and the salaf, that’s a good and easy starting point, Barakallahu feek for the advice, Ameen.

      so them, neo salafis, suggesting the criteria that the people you should take knowledge from are the ones they approve of isn't suss to you? it doesn't sound circular? you can't use your reason that Allah gave you?

      @@Mr.Jasaw13 It makes sense though doesn’t it? The religion shouldn’t be based on what I think, I mean my reasoning is not infallible. I make mistakes, but if I can fact check a speaker’s message by his referencing of Qur’an, sunnah and the salaf, then he can be comfortable with conveying accurate knowledge and I can be confident in receiving it. It’s a win/win for everyone.

      I believe the Mufti of Mauritania, أحمد ولد مرابط, is a salafi scholar. He used to visit Shaykh Falaah Al-Mandakaar - May Allah's mercy be upon him - and defend the creed of Tawheed.
      From those who have died, there is the great scholar محمد سالم ولد عدود، رحمه الله. There are some lectures of his available.

    السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته اخوان
    جزاك الله خيرا
    Tawheed we know is the key to Jannah no doubt, however when talking about the issue of rectifying the Ummah, then we cant just make a blanket statement saying Tawheed is what will fix everything as the Ummah is suffering on so many levels and people are at different places with regard to their deen, and it needs experts in different fields to aid it in rectification. For example, there are many young teenagers and youth in their 20s who come to lessons on Tawheed whether it be kitaab at Tawheed or usool al thalaatha or Qawaaid al Arba'a. No disrespect to the Shaykh RahimUllah but he wrote those books and although we can benefit from them, he wrote them dealing with the issues that faced the people in the Arabian peninsula at that point. If we want to save our youth, then we have to do more than go through the same books and expect different results, we need to deal with the major issues that they face in this present day, whether it be doubts or mental health issues they have etc (hence the need for specialists in different fields), yes shirk is an issue, but it manifests in different ways today than it did in the time of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul wahhab.
    The point is ikhwaan, we have to broaden our horizon to some extent and not limit ourselves, and know that for every individual the end goal is we want them to possess a high level of Imaan and for their Tawheed to manifest in their statements and action but we have to realise that there may be other variables we need to deal with before we get to the finer details. If we look at the scholars of the past, our Salaf, they had broad knowledge of the deen whether it be tafsir of Quran, usool ul fiqh, the hadith sciences, of.course the arabic language etc as well as social sciences including 'ilm al waaqi'a, ie the social conditions and state or reality of the people on the ground within their communities and as a result the scholars back then were better equipped to provide remedies/medicine to cure the people from the sicknesses that plagued them.
    May Allah give us all fiqh fi deen and make us from those pleasing to Him. Ameen

    There is a gap between what the brothers mentioned. There is teaching books in English and there is learning arabic. But what about those who are learning arabic but are not ready for lessons fully in arabic or reading books fully in arabic. You should do a bookclub or a lesson fully in arabic but breaking down the words into simple arabic words. For example those who finish book 1 madinah or bayna yadayk have a certain level of vocabulary that isn't enough to go into books or listen to a lesson. You could assist people this level.

      Al-Tibyan, in that sense, means the act of clarification. It is the مصدر (masdar) of بان or بيّن (clarified, or made clear).

    the only people that take madkhali position are the ones that studied in Arabia, or at least big majority of people which would make sense as it's gov't approved religion, you can't teach anything there that gov't doesn't approve.. cus they are the gods there, not shari'a... gov't can displace shari'a and not vice versa which would be the case in real shari'a country. I personally know few people that studied in Medina and all of them have the same way of speaking, even their language changes, their pronunciation, their interpretation is very dismissive of every other interpretation, which means they not only agree to disagree, they completely reject and dismiss other schools of thought. They are ivariably converts or their were deep into jahiliyah so they now go to the opposite spectrum, feeling like it's not a natural organically acquired knowledge, it's bunch of memorizations and adopted attitudes. Nothing feels genuine with the whole neo-salafi movement or gov't approved religion.

    • @sbzush
      @sbzush Рік тому +8

      If the Government Approved Religion is "Allah Said, The Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, The Sahaba said" and it matches what Allah approves, then there is no shame for that religion to be government approved.
      I don't understand where the fallacious principle "If government likes, must be bad" came from. It reminds me of "If prison, must be a scholar" fallacies. Such fallacies certainly appeal to those who have no idea what Allah, His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, and the Sahaba have said.
