RFA on multiple nodules?
When will they offer something like this for those dealing with thyroid cancer? Why is it that patients have to risk so many possible complications with thyroid surgery when they can do something less invasive why?

RFA for cancerous nodules is offered by at least 16 providers in the USA. The nodules considered for treatment are small papillary carcinomas not exceeding 1.5cm, nonaggressive, without lymph node involvement or extrathyroidal extension. Recommend you check out the UA-cam channel “It’s me Jen again “ for interviews with several RFA physicians who treat cancerous nodules. The Facebook group Save Your Thyroid: Nonsurgical Nodule Procedures has a wealth of information about ablation for nodules including lists of RFA and laser ablation providers in the US and internationally.
Thanks for the reply. I already had a total thyroidectomy and no cancer was found at all. Just overactive gland (thyrotoxicosis) as the report states but they said I had a cold nodule as uptake scan showed in 2020, it doest match the biopsy findings but I do feel better though.
Is this available in BC, Canada?
Closest now would be Oregon in US. In future RFA may be approved in Canada as early as November 2022 - Toronto General may be first to offer.
