This is the full return flight from my recent trip to the Isle of Tiree in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Loganair flight LM458, I'll sitting right in the back for this one, seat 7A, a seat you have to fold down :D
I have popped some captions on to show where we are and nothing else.
I hope you enjoy the flight :)

Thank you fornsharing this lovely flight by Loganair. Been in Scotland as,good as 10 times and cannot get enough of the beauty and hospitality of the Scots ! Grateful greetings from Antwerpen, Flanders in Belgium ! Take care !!!
You too! Thanks so much for watching my wee video :)
The landscape is almost overwhelming. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers for coming along on the flight :)
What a great experience - to be on a plane flying from Tiree to Glasgow, and yet still on my sofa! This was so relaxing - and a real thrill to see Mull from the air. Just fabulous Steve - thank you!
Thanks again! I really want to get to Mull as soon as I can - was there maybe 30 years ago but don't remember much!
@@steve-marsh Mull is one of my favourite places to be. In 2019 I went over (with my dog of course!) from Lochaline to Fishnish and that particular crossing was just under 20 minutes - though a long journey on the mainland down to Lochaline. Still, it was my holiday, so just enjoyed the drive and the scenery. 😊
Oh this brings back many memories of a holiday on Tiree we stayed at Machair house about the middle of Gott Bay
I’d love to spend some proper time there!
Really enjoyed that thought I was going somewhere then realised I was in Maryhill
Haha cheers! :)
Just sensational. To come from such peace and tranquility to a sprawling metropolis so soon with beautiful transitions makes me so very grateful to live in Glasgow. I tend to visit such places by car and ferry and so appreciate the overhead viewpoint! I do want to complete the Westray to Papa flight in my lifetime, but this is on my list now. Cheers.
Oh the Westray flight is right up there on my list too! You can book a round trip Kirkwall back to Kirkwall flight that includes the short hop, and it’s super-cheap! Next year hopefully! Yeah, Scotland is beautiful, but it just gets better and more dramatic from up there!
I sure hope you had a good day at Tiree because I sure enjoyed the trip out and back
north 1451 thanks very much! It was awesome! :)
Absolutely Stunning
Enjoying the flight back to Glasgow, by Logan Air, thanks for posting this great video.
So relaxing. Watching the beautiful scenery pass by. These Twin Otters do allow you to see what commercial jets simply don’t. Thank you Steve for filming and posting such interesting videos. 👍😎
I flew from Glasgow to Tiree , now I'm doing the return journey to Glasgow, a tremendous flight, thanks very much it very enjoyable
I echo the stunning views of the Scottish landscape. Beautiful even on an overcast day. Incredibly smooth flight as well. At one point it appeared as a snapshot because you could barely discern movement. A sturdy airplane and great flying skills.
A very nice presentation of your flight. I shared comments as well on the video of your walk around in Tiree.
Thanks so much for watching! I couldn’t believe how smooth it was, I was expecting to struggle holding the camera still :) really appreciate your support, thanks!
Smooth flight stunning scenery well filmed.
A pleasant flight. Thanks for sharing.
DMC22 thanks very much for watching! :)
Hi Steve I was already there on your outward flight and now on the return flight again. I honestly didn't think it would be so great to film a flight. What a wonderful view of beautiful Scotland. I really enjoyed it. You film very professionally. One has the feeling that you are looking out of the window yourself. I love your videos. Many Thanks!
That's a really lovely comment, and just how I wanted the video to come across :) I booked this one last-minute to guarantee a bit of weather. All the best to you Galway Girl :)
Wow! Thank you for the video! It was nice to see it from above. I did fly from Oban to Colonsay and Coll, but never to Glasgow. Perfect.
I'd love to fly Oban to Colonsay! One day...Thanks for watching :)
Wonderful noise from those Otter engines...fabulous.
Totally agree! I miss that sound and can't wait to get up in a Twin Otter again - favourite aircraft!
That was fascinating, Steve. I feel encouraged to view Scotland from the air.
I booked this one last-minute when I saw the forecast :)
What a Stunning, thrilling and smooth flight from Tiree to Glasgow, I have watched your shorter video of the ‘Island of Tiree’ that was also ‘Outstanding’ videography of the panoramic views, what a beautiful wee island to call home, during this flight it was recommended by one viewer that someone may like to listen to the Song The Island of Tiree by the wonderful Kenneth McKellar, an amazing experience, thank you for the suggestion! All of this from my sitting room, plus the sound from those ‘Otter’ twin engines was more pleasant than some light aircraft I have been on in the distant past, and what a great 👍 Pilot 🧑✈️ thank you 🙏 Steve for a most enjoyable Easter Sunday 🐣 afternoon👌
Thanks so much Bernice! And I'm listening to it as I write my replies :) Wonderful!
👍🤗🐣👋
Now we've landed at Glasgow airport, thanks for posting these great videos.
cant believe that I missed this one! thought I seen all your video's. Thank you again Steve. 😄
Lovely video, I'm going to have to dig out MS Flight Simulator and have a potter about the Highlands too.
Simon Baxter haha so cool! I need that sim, would save me a fortune :)
Brilliant video with stunning views! This trip will have to go on my bucket list.
Luath 55 thanks so much for watching! This is for some reason one of the cheaper Loganair routes too, so a good one for the bucket list :)
Really enjoyed that , I've known one or two people that originated from Tiree , so that was great to see. I was always told it was flat - certainly is !
My father's side came from Tiree. Been there loads of times but always took the ferry. Same for Barra. Nice to see the journey from the air though. Thanks for that.
Very cool! You're welcome!
great flight report
Dr Riff cheers! :)
This one tried my patience but I didn't miss a second of content! It's just as well for the views were incredible and I don't think a flight could possibly be more smooth. This landscape views on this route must be unsurpassed anywhere in the world. If I ever complete watching all of your other videos, Steve, I'll return to watch this one again - and I'm strongly recommending that my wife watch it. Probably our son and daughter, also!
Thanks so much Leon, the more the merrier! :) I remember booking this one last-minute when I saw the forecast :)
Absolutely wonderful and it was very calming to watch the full flight!
Thanks Raymond! It was worth posting that one for sure :)
Now we're flying over Loch Lomond - trimendous
Very nice video. The twin otter is a great little aircraft but I wish it were a little faster with redesigned high performance propellers and retractable gear. But the way it is is good enough and the only aircraft that can land in Barra beach. The weather looks comfortable to me because where I live I have all the sunshine I can handle. In fact, more than I can handle. Amazing scenery. Thanks much!
Just flew over loch long, quite something else.
Hi Steve, just found you videos and watched a few, must say very professional, will be following them in the future.
Cheers for the support! Much appreciated! :)
Outstanding flight video.👍
Cheers :)
Expected plane to go into cloud (3,000ft?) so the pilot must have kept pretty low. Flew from Barra to Glasgow but went into cloud pretty quick and only saw ground just south end of Mull. Amazed how you kept camera so still and the window was very clean!
Altitude-wise I think your about right! Clear days on this route are a real bonus, cheers for watching :)
Wow brilliant wee film , you certainly got lucky with the clear sky's
I'll be honest, it was 100% planned around the weather - waited until the last possible moment to book :)
@@steve-marsh I live in milngavie , it was great seeing the whole area from the sky
Beautiful flight! Cheers from Australia.
Thanks so much Jim, hope all is well with you over there in Australia :)
Just found this Steve and I so enjoyed it. I have never been to Tiree but I hope to go one day. Because I had a brother who at one time lived/worked at Loch Awe I managed to guess all but one Loch, had more difficulty with the isles, though. That was a great flight. Now I am going to see what I look at now. 😊
Your geography skills are wayyy ahead of mine for sure! :)
Oh , I love it !!!
Aww Gabi, thank you!
That was ace!
Glad you enjoyed it!
awsome video m8.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
This film should be promoted by the Scottish Tourist Board
Cheers!
Hi Steve the quality of the film showed how beautiful Scotland is . It also showed the great variation of the weather as an old friend of mine said if you want greenery beautiful lochs waterfalls etc you have to have rain. Lastly of course the filming was very professional in the making.
@@michaeldryden4639 much appreciated! And so true, all that lush green scenery gets thirsty 😊
Fantastic, how do you keep the camera so steady.?
Cheers! No skill I’m afraid, I used a suction cup on the window 🤷🏼♂️
Steve have a look at this one on UA-cam They have been using BN2’s on this for decades. I have done this flight it’s hairy . “Queenstown to Milford Sound” New Zealand & yes they go that close to the mountains. If you can’t find it I will give you the link.
Oh I’ve spent some great times down that way when I was younger!
@@steve-marsh Hi Steve So you know what I am talking about . That flight will always stay with me, it was beyond amazing. The pilot topped it off by circling crater Lake
Where's Tinahulish I've heard auld Joe has a holiday cottage there 😂😂 you have to be friendly to the locals tho
