  • These are my Red-tail Green Ratsnakes. I have a reverse trio with one male being cb and the other pair LTC. I was out of the country but the cb male was housed with her while I was away. I haven't been around to notice any sort of breeding behavior but this looks promising. If you have seen the July 2011 issue of Reptiles Magazine, my cb male used in this pairing is the baby pictured on the cypress mulch in that article. Hopefully what I am seeing is legit and results in some eggs.

She shed on June 27th and laid seven eggs on July 17th. A bit tough to candle, as they are quite thick, but they look good so they are in the incubator at this point. From what I understand, the eggs are not without their issues so I'll give it my best shot.

Thanks. The trip was great...although they are always great when I think back. I actually cam home to two clutches of bp eggs, 150 spiderlings that emerged from an egg sac while I was away, two baby Nephrurus milli in my incubator and one week later I noticed the Gonyo thing. It certainly isn't uneventful over here, it's a fun and exciting season so far.

Are the GRS bravely inherent even when they were born into captivity?

+zack young First I would recommend you ask the person you bought them from for advice since they can tell you the most about the exact animals they sold you. I have never really had any problems getting healthy wc to feed on live mice, rats or quail/chicks.
