A couple more quick notes! Magenta and Magenta MAX will be available for people 55+, AND you can now have up to FOUR LINES under one T-Mobile 55+ account (for people older than 55 years old). This isn't officially available yet, which is one of the reasons I chose not to mention it in the video.
SECOND: Even though on T-Mobile's website it says that the Essentials plan includes "50GB priority data," this is NOT TRUE. My understanding is the Essentials plan has NOT CHANGED AT ALL.

What do you think about old plans like simple choice. I still have it and I’m confused if that plan has any priority data.

@@gilbertsnyder7354 you need to call, plans will not change on tmobile per their grandfather agreements. all plasn will are always grandfathered and plans will not be changed unless the customer requests and agrees to the change.
Just recently switched over to T-MB from AT&T to the MAX plan and have absolutely no regrets!
As a former phone salesman I've been impressed with how improved tmobile has become in Central Florida since the merger

I had Verizon the last 2 years, AT&T for 3 years before that and T-mobile 5+ years ago. My family left initially left to go to AT&T because the service was terrible back then, but we recently switched back to T-Mobile last week for better pricing and so far it has been 10x better than both Verizon and AT&T where we live now. Plus, my Magenta family plan is $100+ cheaper than our last Verizon plan which was one of their current plans, and to top it off we all got free iPhone 12’s.

@@xXKYKYXx99 If you go with the Magenta Max plan then you should be covered. It comes with more Hotspot data and unlimited data prioritization (for your actual phone).

@grimm jow you can watch youtube, but at 360p, I use the hotspot for work and as a main internet of the house, it works, but not the best since its slow. I actually change to Magenta the normal one now.

I recently switched to T-Mobile from verizon and have had a pretty great experience. The price is great and it doesn't change every month. I think my speeds are higher with T-Mobile, but latency was better with Verizon. I'm paying less on t-mo for the magenta plus plan and 4 lines than I was paying for 2 smartphones with 4gb shared data and two dumb phones on verizon. All that and I don't pay for netflix anymore so saving quite a bit. Customer service is better also, but phone selection isn't as good.
With Tmobile I tend to buy my own phones now.
In the long run its a savings ... i guess
Since I'm not tied down to a higher priced service provider like Verizon and ATT. And I'm also saving due to not having the add ons like phone financing.
It does make me vulnerable since I dont have insurance. But idk, my phones were NEVER stolen. Maybe lost or broken but not stolen. And thats funny cuz I'm a big mouthed person who always brags about owning the best phone of a given year. (As long as it's NOT iphone... maybe no one wants to steal my android)
i agree here totaly i moved from verizon got tired of the constantly dropping calls and so far so good! my bil runs pretty cheap and also happy about that to! also got the 5g internet to it kicks ass in some places! lol w

The international tmobile feature is no joke. It was such a life saver travel abroad and my friends would always ask how do you have service? T-mobile!
This worked out great for me when I travel to Iceland I had data I was able to text with no worries of switching Sims work perfectly

This was a DAMN good video. Unbiased, yet truthful. You earned yourself a sub my dude. I don’t need the MAX plan, the Magenta base plan is good enough for me. I don’t even use hotspot data, hardly, only when I’m outside by the pool working on the laptop.
I'm glad I stumbled across this video. I just upgraded to the max plan, I was only on magenta 1.0. Regular magenta would have been 5$ cheaper, but going up to max was only 10$ more. Easy choice.

You can still pick the higher tier Netflix plan with magenta on a single line and then just pay the few bucks difference. Sure they could just give the higher tier but it’s not a dealbreaker and keeps incentive to add a line. Idk
Tmobile is absolutely killing it with its 5G network, I have the Magenta max plan on an S22 ultra and I get 400mb+ speeds everywhere I go.
Just made the switch to magenta max after using google fi for 6 years. 4 people on my plan with free netflix now (only have to pay 5$ a month for the top tier netflix plan I currently have) with the autopay discount it comes out to $35 a month per person (4 of us). So far everything has been working great, getting faster speeds compared to when I had google fi, and the unlimited data with no throttling is fantastic as my phone was basically unusable when my limit was hit previously. Great video!
I've been with AT&T since 2011 (10 years) and I finally switched to T-Mobile just last month. I was paying about $128.85 after taxes and fees for family 9GB shared data. No 5G support. I currently have magenta with 3 lines paying $120 a month flat. Not only I'm saving $8.85 a month/$106 a year but I'm getting a network capacity upgrade and 5G network support for my iPhone 12. The only thing I wish T-Mobile would upgrade is the video streaming, I wish it would give me 720p or 1080p without upgrading to magenta plus/max. 480p streaming for magenta is ok but I'd prefer HD/FHD streaming.

Me and my wife went in to T-Mobile in our town to get the Magenta plane . The manager said if we did not go with the max plane they would not help us in the store.so we left and went to AT&T. Very disappointed in T-Mobile sales practices

Great video Stetson! As always! I think there’s a typo on the video at around minute 7. T-Mobile’s magenta plan includes 5G of LTE data in Mexico and Canada.
Also, you can get table and wearable lines for as little as $5. Though if you do a promo on then you do need the normal $10 and $20 pricing.

Does the magenta military plan get the same benefits/upgrades that regular magenta has?
I hope I don't regret switching from my grandfathered Simple Choice plan. I loved simple Choice, but with streaming really the only way to get entertainment these days I kept getting slowed down at 50Gig. Now with unlimited data at high speed with no slow down, sounds like a no brainier.

Hast T-Mobile had 5GB of data in Canada and Mexico not 0.5 GB for ages now? I remember the switch back in the SimpleChoice days from full unlimited LTE to 5GB. T-Mobiles website seems to list this as well.

I’m confused..I’ve been using t mobile since the iPhone mini came out and I can’t even watch 720p UA-cam videos even with the HD STREAMING plan and now you can stream 4K?!?!

It's as if T-mobile took all critiques, and turned negatives into positives. Went with Magenta MAX yesterday for my own line to get that 4K streaming and Netflix since it's one line. Not regretting it at all.

I have the 55+ plan (2 lines) it works fine for me for now. Also I already have Netflix. Should I stay with the plan I have or pay $10 more for the Magenta.

I live in rural idaho and we just got a T-Mobile in the last couple years. I’m very interested as I don’t have wifi, I’m planning on checking it out for the 40 gigs hotspot. Hopefully they have a good guarantee

Been with T-Mobile for about 6 years. Switched over to ONE Plus when it was a thing and it's the best deal and service. 9 lines(1 wearable) for $235 total. Haven't had one issue, even internationally. When i went to call the customer service line to ask a question I was even told it's the best plan of them all lol. Also, for Netflix, they'll pay the standard edition, but if you wanted the better version you only have to pay the difference. Good video

@@akirakato3755 it’s the same as the regular magenta plan just cheaper pricing. And you have to prove military status with filling out forms and sending pictures of military status.

Hi James, it really depends what your needs are. I believe the old T-Mobile ONE plan is better from a features standpoint (my understanding is it includes uncapped video speeds for full 4K streaming, which is awesome, along with a few other perks), but if the new plans meet your needs and end up being a cheaper price, then I would consider switching.
Are these video about cell and tablet plans are prepaid or contract ?
Completely agree on not letting the perks drive the decision; but they can make a difference and add up. For someone streaming Netflix and watching baseball games on MLB TV will cost money; but T-Mobile throws these in saving one $30+ a month. Then there’s T-Mobile Tuesday; where I’ve won $5-100 gift cards (twice in about 2 years), fuel reward perks, have received free drinks/meals, discounts to restaurants and/or retailers, etc… Just little things that aren’t expected, yet nice to have.
good deals from T-Mobile but Verizon have much better coverage, I work at a factory and had T-Mobile and i almost got no signal at all, but people who had Verizon did so I switch carriers immediately and don't regret it one bit, T- Mobile coverage doesn't seem to be as good as Verizon
great video. Im still on T-Mobiles old promotion of 2 lines of unlimited for $100 bucks everything included, and its great. the only downside I'm experiencing now is that hotpot data of only 10GB not being enough as I have my Samsung automatically tether in my car to my android based radio for spotify and the 50bg as i drive trucks for a living and being on the road for plenty of hours, I listen to a lot of spotify stuff while driving mixed with youtube as I wait 1.5-2 hours to be loaded and unloaded

Just signed up for Magenta Max and I'm not seeing the Go-Go benefit. Still showing the old one of an hour of wifi, not unlimited for the entire flight.

Tmobile also has tmobile Tuesdays and gives you new "perks" every week when the other plans don't really offer stuff like that and if and when they do it's definitely every single week

I am using the grandfathered Simple Choice (6gb, 5 lines). Pay around $135 monthly, including tax. Should I upgrade to Magenta plan? But then I would lose the Binge On feature....

I’m wondering how this will effect sprint customers after the merger if we will have to pick a T-Mobile plan and when.
I just switched from Metro PCS *now Metro PCS-TMobile didn’t change nothing but the name (for now I’m assuming) got the magenta max. Metro PCS bill was always changing
I’m a tmobile customer and called to switch into this plan. Already have 3 lines they said the price was $170 and the promotional price only applies if I add a 4TH line which I found to be crazy since my 3rd line was just added in august. It turns out to NOT be a better deal for me cause I have 3 lines for 120 with taxes included. Only benefit I don’t get is the hd steaming on cellular it’s capped at 720. I was highly annoyed by this.
Can you do a breakdown similar to this but with first responder/military discounts?

I have Metro by T-Mobile and I have 4 lines for $100. I have 15 gigs of hotspot, unlimited power *clears throat* data, Amazon Prime, Google One and many, many more features. Who cares about "Priority" when you'll get slowed down as if you weren't.

Would you need a new SIM card going from their older T-Mobile-One PLUS plan? Thats when I started using T-Mobile. I dont know if my card needs to be swapped/replaced.
To change your plan you don’t need to swap SIM cards, only if you’ve been having network/connectivity issues

I do notice tho that now I dont get data everywhere in my house anymore like i used to. When Sprint merged with T-Mobile I noticed this suddenly happen.
I mean when i go outside it comes back and stays back. Its frustrating now being inside a house or structure and not being able to depend on data anymore. I dont know if I needed a new card or not. Only had T-Mobile for about 1.5 - 2 years now so my card is relatively new.
Does the 480p streaming mean that's the highest resolution I can get on UA-cam?
