I've met them, they're all really nice guys. I just wish they would come at it with the same originality and passion that was on The Discovery. That is the true Born Of Osiris.
This isn't bad .I respect the fact that they r evolving as a band. That being said I thought Jason R. fit in perfectly and that Discovery was and still is an amazing album.
As a major BOO fan this sounded more radio friendly than anything. Chorus made me think of Linkin Park with a BMTH feel, All together this song doesn't come out as strong as I hoped. 4 /10.........stay in the jungle with this one.
Hero of June you know, you'd think that, but you never know when it comes to the first single from a new album. It's hard to make a judgment of an album as a whole based on one single, but also its hard to get excited if you don't like it as well.
I used lo love this band with all my heart, their music was so uplifting and inspiring, I listen to A Higher Place, The New Reign, and the Discovery every week, I used to feel like a cry of revolution in my soul every time I listened to Recreate and wanted to be a better person, a better musician, their lyrics, their riffs got engraved in my soul... I truly feel sad to say that BOO's music since Tomorrow We Die Alive have lost that mythical power they used to carry. I'm not saying is bad music, I'm not hating it, it just no longer lives up to their full potential.

You can never win with you, fanboys. If they change the sound a lot "uhhh why they chqnged the sound, sellouts!" , if they keep the old sound "uhh, they sound sooo dull and uncreative!". Damn it, this is a nice song, strong enough for a single, don't be like that guys, don't judge before you listen the whole thing.
Daniel Giraldo Zapata its actually possible to keep the same sound but keep the songs interesting and refreshing. this tastes so stale i don't know how you can blame alot of fans for being disappointed.
i actually really dig this song... i can see this song being sort of a break in the craziness and technicality of the album. I truly can't see this album being 000 0 000 0 000, all the teasers cameron posted sound incredible.
I'm all for having an open-mind, but this was dull. Aside from the chorus, it sounds like Lee is leaving all the leads to his solo work and leaving the chugs for BOO because this was chugs for the most part. Nothing creative like they've done before, hell, their last album had better songs than this and I dislike that albun
Agustin Torres I can understand why he would go that route though. Maybe not for album writing, but with live shows in mind. Leads can become hollow live with no rhythm to back it up
Fire Ronin that sounds more of an excuse than a solution. I think they should have another guitar instead. like the did in the New Discovery" some one like Jason Richardson for instance. they should get the guy back.
I'm with you. I'm very open minded when it comes to new music and what not but this shit has chug filling up the ass just like TWDA did. I said this on TWDA but I hope the rest of the album proves otherwise cause this will just be TWDA2. From this song at least, they don't seem to have progressed at all from TWDA. Just sounds like another song that could be on TWDA but I'll wait to hear more.. There was all this talk about "oh we're going back to TNR and TD type of songs but haven't heard anything on thoae levels yet...
That's what I was thinking, yeah. I actually LIKED TWDA because at the very least even if it was full of chugs, most of the songs had their own kind of unique sound. This is just dull. It doesn't even sound like it belongs on TWDA. It's not interesting in the least. It's repetitive lyrically, it's repetitive instrumentally, it's boring, period. Gilbert's definitely right that they need a second guitarist, or worse comes to worst, a new guitarist altogether.
Awh man they said this album would be a mixture of New Reign and The Discovery. This kind of sounds like the lesser songs on TWDA or A Higher Place. This isn't for me honestly.
The Zerk This sounds like TWDA 2.0, as in even further focused on catchy choruses watered down song writing and musicianship, masked with flashy electronic arrangements. Hopefully the rest of the album is not like this.
The more I listen to this song the I like it actually, Im officially hyped for this album. Yeah this may not be anywhere near as good as "recreate", "behold", "devastate" or any of the ridiculous song on The discovery, but that doesnt mean this song is bad! I feel like people do that a lot.
Geez, its the same with new Veil of Maya, haters are always gonna hate. I don't find it that awful although the new reign and higher place are my favourite.
Matthew Lohman it's impossible to put something out now a days without getting hate every one is just kinda becoming lazy and forgetting about looking at art in their own perspective they look at what others say
How the mighty have fallen. This proved to me that they'll never be the same BOO that caught my attention since The Discovery and Jason's departure. Jason's probably listening to this like "lol"
ok... this song is brutal, nice...but it's like each song of their last album... no innovation, some people will love because they loved "tomorrow we die alive" and they loved this kind of stuff, but please... change the structure of the song, the preset of the synth, it's like a "copy past" i'm a fan of BoO but yes i've to admit it's a bad song. maybe brutal, but not good. i'm still a fan of BoO, and i dont want to blame this band because they can be good ! let's see what they'll made ! ps: here is how you say why you don't like a song, stop saying "it suck" or "bring back richardson". ps² : sorry for my english, i'm french
Not that this is bad, but how the fuck do you go from writing songs like Brace Legs and Devastate, to ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8

the guitar sounds "coincidentally" similar to Within the Ruins around the 1:50 mark
Gio Duude spot on ha!
It's the heavy jarring empty spaces between the riffs. While I can say that's part of WTR's signature sound, people have been doing that for a while.
Gio Duude BoO also plays their riffs how WTR does. One guitar is playing the same riff a half step down and that's what makes it sound so evil. Also what the other guy said, the brief pauses in between a fast lick/riff gives it that WTR vibe because they use it in almost every one of their songs.
Gio Duude It's almost as if people who write music are influenced by the bands they listen to.
Chickenwomp Yeah because the song consists entirely of copied riffs, note for note, from songs by Within The Ruins.

+Ramon Goller i loved TWDA, it was a great album and it's a shame the majority, it seem, of their fans absolutely hate it lol
Gonna go against the grain here and say that I love this! Loved the discovery, loved tomorrow we die alive, and love this song
How do you go from The Discovery to this?
ModestBanana Jason wrote most of the tech in The Discovery.. clearly evident.
True this sounds like asking Alexandria. Not impressed at all
plaguedjesus How on Godzilla's green earth does this sound like Asking Alexandria?
This sounds nothing like AA
They certainly have come a long way.
Like how can you just continue writing chugged 0's on each and every song and feel good about that...
Please put this on iTunes I'll buy it 5 times over
This is the bonus track from Sempiternal?
finally a bands new album that i still wish to hear.
many bands has just start to dissapoint with changing then genre. Good work BOO!!
well the good thing about finishing listening to this song is that I never need to listen to it again.
Trippy music video, awesome song!
Awesome electronic music backtrack, but guitars feel very lazy, and the song is too repetitive. Basically, it's the MACHINE of the new album.
It's not necessarily BAD, but it's surely GENERIC.
I actually rly like this and their last two albums more then their first few
Is Lee McKinney capable of ever writing guitar solos or leads at all?
Very good question. That is what makes an album tons better
Have you listened to skylasher? Lol
Max Mosaic yeah it has no feeling, and is boring.
Max Mosaic yeah that shit sucks. Jason wrote all the tech for BoO and now that he is gone you can see how their music has progressed.
Max Mosaic super meh
I don't know why everyone is hating on this song it's amazing like the rest of their music! Good work born of osiris
Awh man they said this album would be a mixture of New Reign and The Discovery. This kind of sounds like the lesser songs on TWDA or A Higher Place. This isn't for me honestly.
The Zerk hopefully the whole album will be what they've promised, but this sounds good for what is basically a metalcore song
The Zerk This sounds like TWDA 2.0, as in even further focused on catchy choruses watered down song writing and musicianship, masked with flashy electronic arrangements. Hopefully the rest of the album is not like this.
The Zerk why does everyone hate on A Higher Place? i fuckin loved that album.
Taylour Kyniston Also, why does everyone love The Discovery? It's my least favorite album, no joke haha I don't understand the internet
***** The Discovery is undoubtedly their best work, and if you disagree with that then I'm sorry you have a shit taste in music.
Love the new album!
BoO is going down hill ever since Jason left..
Regardless of this song, still can't wait for this album.
Why is this song so hated? it sounds like all the songs the "fans" like
no not even close. The fans know their best album is The Discovery and this sounds nothing like anything on that masterpiece
Tyler Wafflez that album sounds exactly like all their other albums I don't hear a difference
Tyler Wafflez plus soul sphere > the discovery
Matthew Lohman I feel like there is a lot less shredding compared to albums like the Discovery.
Matthew Lohman it's impossible to put something out now a days without getting hate every one is just kinda becoming lazy and forgetting about looking at art in their own perspective they look at what others say
pretty sure this is the exhilarate of this album.
Might be the most boring original BOO song I've heard, in my opinion. Hope this doesn't exemplify how the rest of the album is.
I Love it!
Wow this song on normal sounds like utter shit. Put it on 1.25 and it doesn't half bad.
How the mighty have fallen. This proved to me that they'll never be the same BOO that caught my attention since The Discovery and Jason's departure. Jason's probably listening to this like "lol"
ok... this song is brutal, nice...but it's like each song of their last album... no innovation, some people will love because they loved "tomorrow we die alive" and they loved this kind of stuff, but please... change the structure of the song, the preset of the synth, it's like a "copy past"
i'm a fan of BoO but yes i've to admit it's a bad song. maybe brutal, but not good.
i'm still a fan of BoO, and i dont want to blame this band because they can be good !
let's see what they'll made !
ps: here is how you say why you don't like a song, stop saying "it suck" or "bring back richardson".
ps² : sorry for my english, i'm french
Skysprod-Music [official] fuckin oui
I abasolutly love that song
can´t believe that i used to think that this band was actually good ..
This band USED to be good, they fucked up kicking out Jason.
Milton Mendoza He left the band actually
+tim andersson you are wrong actually
Patrick Deathcore The Discovery is still amazing
Patrick Deathcore lol the new reign?
Despite all the negativity, I think this will be another solid album. I quite like it.
WE WANT SOLOS AND GOOD RIFFS
Sick!!!!!! Can't wait for Summer Slaughter
Born Of Generic Metalcore zZz
I do not understand the hate for this song. I think it's pretty cool! Stoked or this album!
Not that this is bad, but how the fuck do you go from writing songs like Brace Legs and Devastate, to

Not understanding all the hate on here. Bands change, we change, people change. Born Of Osiris has clearly found the style that they enjoy. I've quite enjoyed all their albums. I'll support it if I can dig it. If not, that's okay too.
