Success and talent are objective I guess. I will be going a bit off topic to come to my point. When we talk about success and talent within BTS members, we conveniently ignore Rapline/Hyungline which in my opinion is way more mature, carries more intelligence and street smartness and their understanding of music is immense and hence their fans are mature. If you listen to RM's RPWP and Indigo lyrics, it is evident that he is not looking only for numbers(in all), he already proved his talent and made records in last ten years. Didn't he? Now, I guess he wants to make music that can satisfy his hunger of music. He is certainly not looking for mainstream or numbers and that's why his new album is critically acclaimed and certainly a strong candidate for nominations in best awards. May or may not, he be able to secure the nominations but he made his point and probably in future we get more better music from him than before. Similarly, Layover was not meant for main stream for sure, it didn't have party going songs. It certainly requires a lot of guts for a debutee to go for this but Tae went for it because it's his taste and his way of experimenting with music. He made his choice and probably it might have given him more satisfaction and I am sure he will experiment more with different genres in future too. This is the sole reason of getting the position that BTS got and none of the other KPop groups couldn't get is the choice of their music which is not totally mainstream. They got different music on the table. Lisa worked on hew new single Rockstar for couple of years as I read and it garnered 55m views on YT on 2-3 days and what does that song offer? Nothing right? But probably there are millions of fans who might be enjoying this song which offers nothing in terms of creativity and music. And in today's BOT world, it is so easy to garner streams, likes, views and what not. Fighting only for numbers is useless but it comes with time and maturity to understand this. Layover might not be the best work of Tae but it is certainly a better work than many many other work of many artists and groups. I would say that it's good that Jimin got such great numbers with LC (though I never understood and liked the song) but he should also be focussing on delivering better music to his fans. I think I am lost and may not be making sense so I am stopping here.
You are not lost and indeed you are right. We (although I will say fake OT7 and joker) conveniently ignore Rapline. They did not stream the Rapline's song as much as they stream for Jikook. The reason of course because Jikook music is typical k-pop or pop so it's easier to gain more streams. Since the company has been turning the whole fandom into OT2 successfully (by feeding Jikooker shipper all the time), it's only normal that most of "fandom" only stream Jikook (The so-called BTS Radio streams 83 Jimin's songs, 33 JK's songs, 6 or 5 songs from RM, Hobi, Jin, 1 song of Suga and 0 song of Tae 😅). With this kind of manner toward OT5, we see the results in the streams (luckily Tae has KTHs and Tkkrs). Of course they did not dare to drag Rapline like they did with Tae since they are still disguising themselves as OT7. Also from number of streams and genre, they never consider the Rapline/Hyungline as a real competitor for Jikook. But this is not the case with Tae. First; they hate his closeness with Jungkook. They consider Tae a huge threat for Jikook bond. Second, when Tae released Layover which has more R&B genre, Joker and fake OT7 expected that the album will be a total failure. Never did they imagine that with this type of album, Tae was still able to make big achievements and break records (his album sales is number 2 after JK ..leaving Face behind). This makes them hate Tae even more. Also even though most of fandom did not stream his album/songs, Tae is still able to get good streams (compare to Rapline), get a lot of awards and being recognized by music critics. Moreover Tae was also able to gain success in modelling and acting, being the only member who scored 5 BA's. They were actually enrage with this and that is why they always come to Taekook channel or OT7 channel and brought narrative that Layover is a flop, while Layover is quite successfully not only for number of streams but also for musicality... Well I am the one who is getting lost now 😁..so Ijust want to say that I share your thoughts... 💚💜

Success and talent are objective I guess. I will be going a bit off topic to come to my point. When we talk about success and talent within BTS members, we conveniently ignore Rapline/Hyungline which in my opinion is way more mature, carries more intelligence and street smartness and their understanding of music is immense and hence their fans are mature. If you listen to RM's RPWP and Indigo lyrics, it is evident that he is not looking only for numbers(in all), he already proved his talent and made records in last ten years. Didn't he? Now, I guess he wants to make music that can satisfy his hunger of music. He is certainly not looking for mainstream or numbers and that's why his new album is critically acclaimed and certainly a strong candidate for nominations in best awards. May or may not, he be able to secure the nominations but he made his point and probably in future we get more better music from him than before. Similarly, Layover was not meant for main stream for sure, it didn't have party going songs. It certainly requires a lot of guts for a debutee to go for this but Tae went for it because it's his taste and his way of experimenting with music. He made his choice and probably it might have given him more satisfaction and I am sure he will experiment more with different genres in future too. This is the sole reason of getting the position that BTS got and none of the other KPop groups couldn't get is the choice of their music which is not totally mainstream. They got different music on the table. Lisa worked on hew new single Rockstar for couple of years as I read and it garnered 55m views on YT on 2-3 days and what does that song offer? Nothing right? But probably there are millions of fans who might be enjoying this song which offers nothing in terms of creativity and music. And in today's BOT world, it is so easy to garner streams, likes, views and what not. Fighting only for numbers is useless but it comes with time and maturity to understand this. Layover might not be the best work of Tae but it is certainly a better work than many many other work of many artists and groups. I would say that it's good that Jimin got such great numbers with LC (though I never understood and liked the song) but he should also be focussing on delivering better music to his fans.

You are not lost and indeed you are right. We (although I will say fake OT7 and joker) conveniently ignore Rapline. They did not stream the Rapline's song as much as they stream for Jikook. The reason of course because Jikook music is typical k-pop or pop so it's easier to gain more streams. Since the company has been turning the whole fandom into OT2 successfully (by feeding Jikooker shipper all the time), it's only normal that most of "fandom" only stream Jikook (The so-called BTS Radio streams 83 Jimin's songs, 33 JK's songs, 6 or 5 songs from RM, Hobi, Jin, 1 song of Suga and 0 song of Tae 😅). With this kind of manner toward OT5, we see the results in the streams (luckily Tae has KTHs and Tkkrs). Of course they did not dare to drag Rapline like they did with Tae since they are still disguising themselves as OT7. Also from number of streams and genre, they never consider the Rapline/Hyungline as a real competitor for Jikook. But this is not the case with Tae. First; they hate his closeness with Jungkook. They consider Tae a huge threat for Jikook bond. Second, when Tae released Layover which has more R&B genre, Joker and fake OT7 expected that the album will be a total failure. Never did they imagine that with this type of album, Tae was still able to make big achievements and break records (his album sales is number 2 after JK ..leaving Face behind). This makes them hate Tae even more. Also even though most of fandom did not stream his album/songs, Tae is still able to get good streams (compare to Rapline), get a lot of awards and being recognized by music critics. Moreover Tae was also able to gain success in modelling and acting, being the only member who scored 5 BA's. They were actually enrage with this and that is why they always come to Taekook channel or OT7 channel and brought narrative that Layover is a flop, while Layover is quite successfully not only for number of streams but also for musicality...
