    why 3 spades propeller? originally there is 4. Economical resons? (btw sorry for the "spade" word. I dont know what's the proper english name for it)

      Hamilton Standard prop conversion. Pulls better than the Russian prop , and much smoother

      ok thanks. great polish plane with russian prop. however 3 spades works better (I'm not gonna argue,cause I'm sure you're right) 4 spades looks/sounds better. doesn't it? ;)

      Przemysław R American prop attached to a Russian engine attached to a polish airframe. I had one for several years. It actually sounds better than the Russian 4 blade and much more efficient.

      I do not think so. 4 blades give you more dragging power than just 3. Dromader builders did not install 4 blades just for fun.
      Especially that Dromader propeller is shorter, because of shorter landing gears, than in An-2 and gives 20kg power less.
