That K5 Blazer was nice. I’m finishing up a frame off restoration on a square body Suburban. GM 6.6 L8T engine, one tons with ARB lockers, 6” lift and 37s. It will be a one of a kind. Now I just need to finalize how I’m going to outfit the back of the truck.

I noticed that Toyota vehicles dominate this expo and are becoming the dominant overland vehicles. Can anyone tell me why? I own a Jeep Wrangler and find it to be average at best. Is it because Toyota puts more emphasis on quality and reliability than US manufacturers. I would like to help support the US economy in the future though I hate to throw away my money on inferior equipment that might leave me stranded somewhere.
I think you nailed it with the reliability with Toyota’s! I have a jeep jku that was in and out of the shop for warranty crap! It’s great off road but when it breaks😖
Jeeps are unreliable. Toyotas are very reliable, the pickups, the 4runners the tundras I mean I can go on they just dont die. Overlandijg isnt much about hitting obstacles more offroad travel.
Why do you call some rigs Gucci rigs? Calling them Gucci is hating on them. If someone really wants one then either they can save up or custom make their own. Every single rig their is obtainable with hard work, minimal spending & a lot of saving.
