0:03 👍 brining back the 80’s Oakley sunglasses…I like it
Love the color of the FJ. The Barebones guy seems like a really genuine and nice guy. Their products have a cool style.
Polaris Expedition, what EVERY JEEP wants to be when it grows up! :))
That FJ40 is beyond amazing.
yeah, I had to buy the Rollercam bundle. So easy to tie down stuff now!!👍👍. No more ratchet straps
Love that FJ 😀👌
It was nice to meet you at the expo and thanks again for taking the time to interact with my daughter when she wanted to know all about the bandage on your truck.
She was awesome!!
My favorite expo video so far
Wow great cars 💯👍😊
Hi Matt and Cara, i meet you Matt on friday afternoon at PNW from Quebec, Canada. I enjoy my first visit in an Overland expo. Thanks for your good tip and nice discovery products.
so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing, It seems that of those you inquired about their work, rig, or products … all of them were very kind and humble people 😊
Thank you for the video. It was a great expo we love this one too. And thank you guys for all the hard work and driving your long drive to see it Don and Donna north idaho

Yoooo!!! I’m so excited that you profiled Anderson Design and Fabrication! They are great guys, building awesome products! #ADFCREW!
Damn, the FJ 40 is more than beautiful, they put a lot of work into it. Impressive
Enjoyed it. Unfortunately we couldn’t do that one. Flagstaff and Colorado this year. Thank you guys.
Great and pretty interesting video!🤩😎 you really must visit us in Germany next year. We've one of the biggest overland expos in the world in my home town. It's really cool. With a big camp ground with nearly 2000 overlandvehicles. I bet it would be very interesting for you here, too. Here's everything from Jeeps, g-wagons up to the big expedition trucks.
Good to see Toby from ScheelMann
Sweet truck
He’s a great rep for amazing product
Hi Matt and Cara, I really like the Polaris. Sweet!! Thank you for sharing this video!
Cool products. Great choices for your favorites.
Great walk around!! Love the rockpot.
Great video showcasing some pretty cool products and vehicles.
Thanks 👍
Cool stuff! Can't wait for Overland Expo Mtn West. Just stay away from the winch rings...aka the Death Bagels! Most of those slip rope very easily. Theirs may have better/wider edges, but the average ring is no bueno.
That 💩💩Du shower seems pretty cool !!!!! Keep up the awesome content!! I’m truely enjoy. I live in SoCal with a nice built up JL. Hope to meet you both someday!
In 1975 I was looking to buy my first vehicle as an adult (23 yomHaha). I looked at CJ 5 and the Toyota FJ40. Toyota was new to the USA (relative) and few were available. So I got the CJ, it went into storage 10 years later and in 1995 I made the biggest gamble ever…I restored it for my 16 yo son. What was I Thinking! Thankfully he survived and did not destroy the CJ. It is now part of my classic collection that my descendants will sell when I’m gone. I’ll haunt them for selling some!
Dream fj40!!!
This is awsome
Love you guys!! My wife wants to buy all these products.
Yankum rope is very innovative.
My very first 4X4 was a 1975 Toyota FJ40 which I bought brand new, I don’t remember the price but it under $5K. I loved it, it was extremely rugged and would go just about anywhere you pointed it. In 1979 someone tried to steal it and messed up the wiring. The FJ was destroyed while being towed to the dealership for repair. The accident involved the tow truck and 2 tractor trailers. I moved on from there, should have bought another one, am still kicking myself all these years later for not getting another one.
I had a 1982 Toyota 4x4 and took it up to some trails and it was awesome. I wish I still had that truck. Now they are so expensive.
That made me sad 😢
Hy Ozark, i have a little Suzuki Jimny for my adventure in offroad.
It is little and light, perfect for The italian Mountains.
Love you’re video and you’re truck. 🇮🇹
I love Jimnys!!!
If I had the money, I would do that to my fj40. But I don't have the heart change it. I always like the G wagen. Great video, Matt.
Some awesome rigs there.. Are you guys hitting any of the other overland expo's happening out that way? If so, keep an eye out for the Aussies from The Explore Life channel showcasing their Australian truck and camper. They were ripping it up heading to the Expo in Flagstaff last I saw, but had plans to hit a few others as well.
Man I wish things would have worked out for us to no back home and meet you guys at the Expo
Idk much about Subarus either, but I know the exhaust being the lowest clearance is scary
At the end of your video, you mentioned heading to Alaska. We are here in Alaska now and will be until Sept. would love to meet you!
Definitely not heading to Alaska. LOL. Not sure where I said that. Wish I was!!
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I’m so sorry! I commented on the wrong video. But I do wish you were here!
rockpot looks interesting
Sorry I missed seeing you guys at the event. Unfortunately the heat got the better of me and my trailer doesn’t have sufficient ventilation so I moved onto a cooler environment on the coast. In regards to the Polaris expedition if they could figure out a way to make this thing street legal, even if it was surface streets and not highways, I think you would have a very large market share of the offroad and Adventure space.
20:19 Is that street legal? Can register it and put a plate on it?
Depends on your local laws. It's still a SxS with no blinkers.
Next year I promise I will make it down!
You better
22:45 Top 10 things not to say in the first date.
😂
9:28 ua-cam.com/video/TUHgGK-tImY/v-deo.html This is how you do the Trucker’s hitch 😂
Have you narrowed down your search on a 270 awning?
Should have one from 4x4 Colorado very soon.
Nice!! Can’t wait to see it on your rig. Gonna be a game changer for your setup, adding that additional shade and rain coverage on the side and back of the truck for when you cook. I think they have built in LED strips too. I’m looking forward to it for you brother! Enjoy it
The side by side that would cost more than my Jeep.
Those are rich people toys:
true
Matt please tell me how come there is no EXPO in Colorado?
There is!
Expo Mountain West in the end of August in Loveland CO
The polaris is still useless in a lot of areas, first too low to the ground, in colorado and other states you cannot use them on the road, for instance if you go over black bear pass from ouray, you are then stuck in telluride, black bear is one way, you have to sneak your way over to imogene pass, if you are too late at night or the weather has turned, as it does in Colorado, you cannot take the highway back to your trailer in ouray, for the cost of a newer utv you can buy a nice used 4x4 and have twice the vehicle and ten times the comfort
I know. Doesn't make it not cool though for the areas you can use it in.
I agree with your opinion on the side by side owners, I live next to Pismo Beach California so we get a lot of Testosterone fueled weekend warriors from the Central Valley that not very nice all while disrespecting our community dumping their trash in parking lots.
Wow...as a side by side owner, lover of the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, over landing, you could not be farther from the truth in describing me.......but demonizing a whole group/sect of people seems to be the norm in today's society. Sad. Sad indeed.............Thanks for all the love Matt.
You will never eat dust in a properly equipped sxs. The polaris is cool but it kinda defeats the sxs experience. Its meant to be driven hard and fast in the desert. Not really camp in. Just my opinion.
If you're solo sure but everyone in the back is eating dust.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventureswe have these air pumper systems made by rugged radios/pci. As well as particulate separators just like trophy trucks. You will never eat dust. But, I get what you're saying about the sxs/owners. Im on both sides of the spectrum. Actually three - I ride dirt bikes too and I'm active on all. But I urge you to rent a Canam x3 for a day in Moab. You'll feel what the hype is about.
In all reality, from experience, specially after 2020, jeep and Toyota owners have the worst trail etiquette. They rarely yield to anyone else on the trail. That's how I actually got into riding single-track riding on dirt bikes. Full-width trails are just too dangerous. Doing all three types, I see all perspectives and I try to be considerate of everyone.
Lolollolol
Well said.
I use a Roku TV and every time I watch this channel my YT app shuts down - is any one else having this problem with channels that cover the outdoors? Never happens on any videos except about the outdoors?
That's very odd. Get an Apple TV. Apple loves the outdoors. lol.
The overlanding craze has reached its boutique stage meaning it will mercifully die soon. You don't need all that stuff to see nature and go camping.
No one has said you need this stuff but the options are there if you want them.
$36 a piece to just get in and walk around? Really you have to pay to go into a store to shop around 🙄 😒.
Every expo I’ve ever been to you have to pay to get in. Gun show, boat show, RV show, etc. that’s how it works.
I'm sure there are fees and overhead to having these events. Someone has to pay that. Plus what store is going to have all that content?
pretty poor video
😂 really? Why is that?
Looked like it was a great show.👍🏕 Will you be pining the socials of the folks in this video?
The Polaris sides ideal looked incredible, just got the feeling it would cost more to kit out than your Jeep 😮
I always turn around and look at our FJ40.
