Im entering for sure. I saw that Honda Civic Shuttle yesterday out on the road near Gawler. Thanks for the videos Jay. I still remember watching your blue 2JZ Cressida ripping some serious skids at AIR back in the day. All the best mate.
They’re awesome cars, there was one here in the uk years ago (like mid 90s!) that was on hydros and had a second grille flipped and mounted below the stock one so it looked like a baby Chevy Astro, I loved it
Oy mate , i had one back in the late 90s with the 8 spark 2.4 engine . Pretty good car and never gave me a problem. I changed it for a Mazda but still reminisce about it . Take care .
My old man had one off these tha good old prairie dog 7 up 1 time drifting it round a roundabout prober little wagons bad rust buckets though here in the UK he was a mot tester and it failed on rust etc so me old man bought fixed it himself at cost n ripped it about for a while n sold it on when I was a kid n I'm 38 now so long ago very rare car here as I was a kido n they was rusted out then
If it still runs the original engine check that it can run on unleaded fuel or use 98 octane premium unleaded fuel & add a Teflon based valve saver additive into the fuel tank prior to refuelling the car if it's a leaded fuel only engine. One of my primary school teachers drove one of them 40 years ago (in 1985) which was before the introduction of the mandatory use of unleaded fuel in vehicles which were manufactured & sold in Australia from February 1986. The teacher was kind of our librarian who also taught art, music, etc & she was obviously filling the fuel tank up with leaded fuel. Why I am saying to check is because some engines made prior to February 1986 which were from overseas may be able to run on unleaded fuel, I know my dad did make the mistake of listening to an NRMA mechanical engineer who said it should be o.k. to run his old 1982 model Mitsubishi L300 Express van on 91 octane regular unleaded fuel if he retarded the ignition timing a bit. They were wrong because I asked a tech teacher about it when I was studying an automotive course while I was at high school in 1994, that using regular unleaded fuel in the 1.6 litre Saturn 4 cylinder engine (same as the 4G32 Galant engine) will likely hurt the engine. Sure enough, trying to save a few cents per litre by using regular unleaded fuel cost my dad an engine in 1995 because it was pinging, the engine & cylinder head ran hot, the cylinder head became bent & a piston ring cracked, that also scored one of the cylinders. So the engine needed to be replaced because it was already bored out 0.060" oversized from 1597 cc's to 1750 cc's meaning that next time it was going to need a new engine block or another engine if it was to be rebored. The warranty information for the replacement engine stated that it was built for leaded fuel use only meaning that the warranty would be voided if the use if unleaded fuel use causes damage to that engine !
FMD, poor cnt that won the "Ferrari" in NZ is going to be pushing sht up hill to get that thing registered. As a former VTNZ inspector (aka, a proper shtcnt🤦♂️) I can tell you it'll be a "damage flagged" import that will need an engineers report for the body mods and the integrity, with inspection required during the entire repair process, it's called a "repair cert". It would also need whats called a LVVC (Low volume vehicle certificate)... The Lvvc is similar to an Aussie engineers report, the only difference is an LVVC is based on facts everyone understands, whereas an OZ engineers report is based on the opinion of pseudo scientists who don't know the first thing about engineering🤣🤣🤣
