Jason Weber always comes through with his line of Antigua saxophones. His perfect timing, 5 octave range and superb melodic interpretations are unequivocally spot on!

The Pro One tenor is probably my favorite. Prices are reasonable but you'd have to look them up in your area. Thanks!

I wondered if you have tried the G42 series?
I've read they used a different kind of alloy and the keys are suited for smaller hands.
I wondered how they compared to Powerbell or 5200.
BTW, between the Powerbell and 5200, which one have less resistance in blow, how is the volume?

Haven't tried the G42 so no idea what they're like. The 5200s have a little more resistance than the Powerbells.

Hello, would you say the Powerbell have a more traditional straight ahead jazz sound when compared to Proone, and which have less resistance as between the both as well?
There isn't much place that stock tenor and I have to order them without trying, though price is good compared to other competitors.

@@wckoek not really. They're both big bell horns. I think the Pro One is a bit more "refined". Both good horns but most of the sound is going to come from the player him or herself and your mouthpiece/reed combination.

I see, maybe the difference is in the ergonomics, the examples online showed the Proone to be a brighter horn but if bore size and bell are similar should not be that much difference.
There's one shop that stocks a red brass (I heard it is darker sounding) powerbell, I think I might go for that one.
