I've just had a revelation about journal addicts: many of us seem to love CONTAINERS more than other people. Purses or backpacks are containers for our basic necessities. Journals contain our words/thoughts/art. Pens contain the ink we need to express our thoughts/art. Pouches contain all the tools (we feel) are necessary. I also can't bear to get rid of certain jars and bottles, and they can contain life-giving food! Maybe this sounds a little "out there," but it just occurred to me when you were showing us your pen cases! Does anyone else have thoughts on this? For the real, true journal addicts out there, a love of containers really seems to be universal. What does it mean?? Love all your vlogs, by the way -- don't care what you talk about :)
I am bedridden and in a lot of pain. I look forward to your videos. They give me joy ! Please don't stop making them. I journal, and read as well. Blessings to you. Paisley
You might add a bottle and some water purification tablets if you like survival supplies. As a kid I was obsessed with wilderness survival novels, especially those by Jim Kjelgaard, who moved from the Northeast to the Southwest and wrote some novels based there. Because of those novels I used to carry a pocket knife everywhere, and once used it to free a bird who was tangled up in a bush with kite string!
I love to see what people carry around! Journal is a must too for me, and I also always have a knife and a good old bic lighter for survival fire building. Ya know what else is nice? Toilet paper sealed in a bag 😋 and of course a journal to document the adventure 😉
No reason to feel awkward! It’s always interesting! Love miniature anything! Now I want a tiny backpack. You inspire a whole world of people with same interests! Don’t stop! You are adorns!
I am a bit late seeing this but I love bag reveals. I love curating the contents of my own bag with the thought that somebody might be interested in seeing what I carry and that what they see will represent who I am. I always think about what I include and ask myself 'what does this say about me?'. So far, nobody has ever asked what is in my bag, but I still have fun putting it together anyway :)
Carry a box of matches and a knife and journal - :) hey survival instincts ! - thank you for sharing ! very very cute bag congrats on the lovely steal ~
It's nice when when patience & consistency are rewarded. Also appreciated like when you find that special something that remains special. The emotion when you find it can be as specail as what you found. Njoy & have fun! Stay Healthy Stay Safe! 🌹
I had a bag with a similar structure when I was in high school and I LOVED it. I kept it for years and years. This video just took me back to walking those old wooden floors and bad window unit air conditioned classrooms. (My HS was super old) Man, those were the days....
This video just checked all the boxes!! I love seeing the secret things that people carry in their bags and in their journals! 😄 And I absolutely understand about carrying matches and a knife in case you're ever stuck in the woods...my bag is like a suitcase, but I'm prepared for anything! 😃👍
You are an adorable human and I am grateful for your contribution to the world of writers who love the pens that write on our beloved paper carried by the bags and cases that carry those necessary bits and bobs. :)
Great video! Thank you! I’m just now seeing this! Love the bag! I have an 8-year old Coach hobo bag and I love it. I just need to get the lining replaced. Use it EVERYDAY!!! I am so interested in doing a hobonichi. Where can I find the cover like what you have? That is exactly what I’m looking for!!!! Thank you and God Bless!!! Thank you!!!
I actually found one of these bags today at a thrift store. I saw it in this video a few months ago and I couldn't believe that I found the same one! I really am in love with it too, really cheered me up to find it! Perfect size for my Gfeller B6 Slim journal and calendar set up.
Girl! Have you seen Chic Sparrow’s Lewis and Clark TN purses? The last thing I need is another TN least of all an A5, but ... but ... oh gosh! Jen’s last IG story is showing off two they just made and they’re just too gorgeous. I don’t even know if I’d use it as a bag. Your videos are delightful, always! Boring - NEVER! Might need to add matches to my bag. And speaking of bags during this pandemic, I think I’ve gotten into mine 3 times in 57 days at home LOL

Hi! First, I love your videos! Keep making them! Secondly, I recently purchased my first vintage fountain pen! I was on the fence for quite some time, but you pushed me over! I purchased a Conklin Ringtop Endura and I love it! I'm on the hut (down the rabbit hole) for my next one. Where did you find your vintage Pelikan 400, if I may ask? Thank you. Seriously.
Judith Kilvington congratulations!!!!! Conklins are soooo fantastic. I bet it’s a beauty. I found the vintage Pelikan on Peyton Street. There are ones on eBay that seem to be in great condition and restored.
If you're inclined towards pouches, you may consider a dedicated pen pouch/wrap for your pen. That Pelikan's cap is of a softer material than the binde and will scratch more easily.
Jeff L thank you! I do have many pen pouches, sleeves and other things, just for that. I guess I haven’t been especially worried, and perhaps I should, as it’s a pen I love greatly.
Check out tombihn.com for pouches and bags. I use the small double organizer pouch as my wallet because at the moment I'm out only for quick errands and can clip that pouch to my keys. I love their bags and backpacks and organizing pouches. All waterproof. You'd like the daylight backpack if you are in the rain on your bike. Nothing gets wet inside. They are a small American company with awesome products and a lifetime warranty. They are about one-bag travel even on international travel, w/o checked luggage.

I love your address book! I live about 15 minutes from Lake Winnipesaukee! Did you visit the area? Where did you find the address book?
You are so adorable 💞💖💖💖
Is that a hardcover pocket notebook in the travelers notebook ?
Srishty Vahie it is! :D
Wow thank you ! I’ve been using a Moleskine pocket hardcover journal and have been wondering if I could keep it in a travelers notebook
No cellphone in your bag?
Check out tombihn.com for pouches and bags. I use the small double organizer pouch as my wallet because at the moment I'm out only for quick errands and can clip that pouch to my keys. I love their bags and backpacks and organizing pouches. All waterproof. You'd like the daylight backpack if you are in the rain on your bike. Nothing gets wet inside. They are a small American company with awesome products and a lifetime warranty. They are about one-bag travel even on international travel, w/o checked luggage.
I hope she’s married. This woman is too perfectly genuine to not be married!!!!
