My sister led a very worldly life and was away from the church at her passing. I had the Gregorian Masses said for her (30days of continuous Masses) and our Lord told me that because of my great love for my sister, that He would release her from purgatory when the Gregorian masses were concluded! As a sign of the wonderful truth of this, my sister died on the Feast Day of St. Gregory! I am saying a rosary now and will offer it for the souls in purgatory and those requested in these comments! Thank you for your wonderful Podcasts!

I have started praying my for the souls of those who have no one to pray for them. I am the last practicing Catholic in the family.
If you keep praying for your family on Earth and who may or may not be in Purgatory, without ceasing, (does not mean continueosly but means without giving up) daily to pray for them, you will not be the last practicing Catholic for much longer and of course pray for all others as well as its a good way to "love thy neighbor."

I think a way to see purgatory feeling so long is not only because it’s outside of space and time, but because 700 years feels like tens of millions shows how damaging sin is to the mind and soul vs the physical world. The damage needs time to heal and that’s what purgatory is, a prison hospital.
A reverend sister told me to pray for her in a dream that she believe in me to pray the rosary. I think she was in purgatory

I sat rosery frequently, in the gym on the bike. I say it on utube I hope our lady hears me. I don't have a rosery. I get Distracted but still say it. I only hope Our Lady And Jesus Accept this.

We are the Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization in Cumb. Md. We pray the Holy Rosary every first Sat. at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery on Fayette St. in Cumb. at 12 noon for the Poor Souls in Purgatory. Please join us.
A group of us does the same thing every Friday morning after mass at the cemetery across the street. At the end of the Rosary we recite the Litany for the Holy Souls in Purgatory

I have zero idea why I did not join earlier, even though I have heard of this confraternity many years ago. Perhaps I believed that I did not need to join in or maybe I thought such a confraternity did not exist in our time. However, as usual, these simple and edifying videos had me google search the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary and I joined. It is super simple. And yet, like the Little Flower mentioned, all is grace. As I google searched the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, google's algorithms suggested the Confraternity of the Holy Face. I also pray daily the litany of the Holy Face and had previously wanted to join like the Little Flower but did not do anything to fulfill that desire, until watching this video. Let all join both confraternities. I have come to realize that for a soul to be holy, you NEED people to pray for you much. All are in need of intercessors, from Heaven, purgatory and here on earth.

You do a great job with this channel! I don’t think I would have the devotion I have for the souls in purgatory, if it wasn’t for your channel. I think we would all be praying every chance we got, if we only knew how much our prayers meant for the poor, suffering souls in purgatory!

I'm not sure if you heard about the Flame of Love devotion. But it's a Carmolite Devotion given by Mary and Jesus that Helps Souls in Purgatory including Priest.
There's an new Hail Mary that if said 3 times releases as soul. And if a person fast on Monday it releases a priest soul in purgatory.
Additionally, if a person competes that fast, during that week when a person receives the Eucharist (any day of the week), numerous souls are released at the point of reception!

@Uniquely Mary The other thing we do to add power to prayer is to pray appropriating the merits of Jesus, Mary and all the saints, like Saint Gertrude did. We aren’t praying with our own weak merits anymore, it is extremely powerful. Also covering all our prayers and actions of the day in The precious Blood and Wounds of Jesus and their merits.

They had a friendly conversation but it did not end with her conversion to Catholicism. She is still quite skeptical about saints and our reverance for Mary. Hi, I have a question: if the world judgment happens tomorrow, what happen to the ones who has still 700 years to make in purgatory ? Do they go directly to heaven, is there still a kind of purgatory or does the world judgment will actually happen in thousand or million year (even if there is no more living human) ?

@awaiting...His...return obedience is so important and we cannot critize anything approved by the magestierium as its seen as disobedience by God, just learning how important this is, even if something is not right as long as we obey we Glorify God and he gives us all merit anyway and I gave seen amazing results from the chaplet of Mercy, it's really powerful as is Divine Mercy Sunday,embrace all the treasures of the Church,trust nobody else

If God said I would spend 700 years of purification in purgatory, I would weep tears of joy and kiss His feet in humility, thanking Him over and over for showing me such incredible mercy and saving me from eternal damnation. Purgatory is hell with a time limit...in the end, you WILL be in heaven with Our Lord!
Still, pray while on you're on earth for mercy on those souls in purgatory, that their purification may be shortened.

What happens if we die now and we should deserve to be in Purgatory for 700 years, yet the world is going to end in less than 100 years. How can we satisfy for our guilt.
It's outside the bounds of time and space
Honestly, that was what I was kinda thinking. However, we do know that Divine Mercy Sunday granted us complete forgiveness for purgatory indulgences, assuming we meet those criteria. (Easy Google look up)
There are also number devotions at grant souls remittance from Purgatory, given the criteria was meet. Keep in mind, the way I look at devotions are like "spiritual extra credit." Not required but knowing me. I'd really need the extra help.

Sacred Heart Devotion - The goal is to help alleviate Jesus' weeping heart for the ingratidude of mankind. Promise included graces for endeavors in life and promised to have your name written in his Heart. Along with the promise that before you die you will be have the sacraments before you die.
The Immaculate Heart devotion. Goal is to make reparations to the sins against Mary. Promised that she will accompany you at your time of death.
The Flame of Love Devotion is a Carmolite Devotion that helps free a priest soul from Purgatory. It includes fasting and who ever does this, thier soul is freed from Purgatory 8 days after they die. The grace was asked by the Queen of Heaven her self.
There is also a St. Micheal the Archangel devotion. That promises he will help you when you die to get to heaven. *double check me on this one*
There's also a Gregoiran Mass that could be said on your behalf that a soul released from purgatory after 30 consecutive masses.
Keep in mind there are other devotions that I didn't mention. But they ultimately are meant to get us closer to God.
Also it just shows the graces and tradition inside the Catholic Church. As these devotion are meant to can help souls get to heaven. This is also a reminder that should be our primary goal in life. And that God wants every soul to be with him.

Please do not say "condemned." There is no condemnation in Christ. Romans 8:1. She may have been sentenced to years in purgatory. But she is not CONDEMNED unless she went to HELL. No one in Christ is condemned. This may be a translation problem. Words in French may sound like "condemnation" but are translated as punishment, or debt, or such. We must be careful to use the proper translations so we do not mislead or turn people away with what is a misconception. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus.
Another good video, brother, I must say. I just was wanting to make sure people understand that purgatory is not condemnation. It is a mercy.
Normally religious stories like this used to comfort me when I was ignorant in the past, now the more is revealed to me I'm really starting to wonder if it's a useless waste of time.
NO! One never knows what benefits your prayers will do for souls until you meet them in the life hereafter. Jesus wouldn't condemn you to Purgatory as Purgatory is not a place of punishment. Unlike Hell, which is a place of punishment, Purgatory is a place of cleansing. So, you're not being punished in Purgatory
