@@ibukunshola2023 yeah. I was so discouraged and stressed because I wanted to start with 1000 but couldnt get the help I needed and I was running out of money. So I left went back to America feeling down but now they have grown so much. I can't wait to get back. I'm patient and willing to do what it takes to grow to my goals. I think its better to start when you are still having a job. Especially if you have a trusted person that can take care of it. This is good because by the time you quite the farm can take care of its expenses.

I started farming in my family's backyard from food scraps since I didn't have a job, never expected that farming would be something I'd become so passionate about. I now have 7 chickens and 2 ducks in addition to vegetables and animal fodder growing in the backyard, I am working to create a permaculture system wherein to save space I grow produce on the same land that the birds roam, providing benefit both to them and the crops (the birds have cover from hawks, they eat pests, they fertilize the crops, they may eat produce that falls to the ground). Based in America.

I thank God for my business, I started my poultry farm with 8layers, later I bought another 23 layers . And with the profit I was making and seen poultry farming as a lucrative business now am having 200 layers laying currently. And also rearing broilers as frozen to Eateries And food stores.

About 2 months ago, I decided to expand my poultry business. I used to grow about 50 birds per batch at my backyard. Now I rented a poultry house that can accommodate 250 broiler birds and I am so proud of myself. I am still working now and I plan to quit my job in the next 6 months. Thank you Dr Daniel for your passion and influence
PS: You didn't tell us you had gotten married. Congrats.

Thank you for being so uplifting!! I have been working on building my farm for the last few years. I started by getting friends and family involved. I made no promises in what I could produce. I raised 100 meat birds in 8 weeks it was hard and I did all the manual work myself I was only able to get 97 to live had a few set backs but don't give up I work 45 to 50 hours a week you can do it you just have to get a good feel for your time management this take time to figure out don't give up keep your drive going!! Peace love and chicken grease!!

I want to start farming so bad but my reasons as why I have not yet started are
Land to buy to construct on units for the bird is so expensive and renting land to put on a farm landlords get jealous of the structure and the idea by the time your first rented period is finished he will not extend your lease or stay on his property and yet you have put in your money to construct the unit now you have to look for another place transfer demolish the structure and erect it in another place.
Secondly:- financial security some of us we have jobs that if we quit them right now to focus on the farm with the capital we have we can't run are farm to even its first birthday.
So What I zeroed down to if any one can take my advice first things first I addressed my challenges and I decided for the issue of land instead of renting it let me buy mine.
For the financial insurance am saving the small money so that I can build rental property first all this am doing is to get to my passion of farming there for me I have not yet started because I am still addressing my obstacles which I realized could kill my dream and goal

A peak roof would keep the hens from perching on the laying boxes. They would also benefit from more perches in the coop. Higher than the nest box so that they prefer perching there instead of on the nest box.
