At least a million each plus what the PO stole from them with 10% compound interest on it, plus a deeply grovelling apology from the PO, and finally the whole Post Office to be scrapped and replaced with a decent organisation instead of the current vile setup.

It’s just the system, the civil service is immune to criticism because it can call on unlimited public funds for defending its self. It is high time that criminal charges are used to stop civil servants defending the system by outspending in court those seeking justice. It is in the interest of all politicians to get this mess sorted, it is the civil service that is at fault and heads should roll.

It is clear that any Sub Postmaster sacked from their role for 'defrauding' the Post Office had been incorrectly charged by the Post Office and therefore should also be entitled to £600K compensation. Repayment of sums made out of pocket to compensate for computer errors, plus interest at compound rates over the years should be made within weeks. Compensation is another entirely seperate issue. I suspect that the 1bn allegedly suggested for compensation is way out, nearer 10bn than 1bn will be needed, take it frim tge HS2 racket and the prosecuting lawyers, as individuals aswell as their firms who failed to do a professional job

When the Sub Post Office Managers first took the Post Office to Court, as seen in the TV Drama, they Won their case against the Post Office, and were awarded many Millions of pounds in Compensation, but after the Court fee's were taken out, they were only left with £20,000 to each of the Managers? The thing I don't understand is, that they Won the case in Court, then why did they have to pay Court Fee's, I thought the Post Office, who lost the case in Court would have to pay all the Court Fee's, and the Winners Fee's and expenses. I've always assumed the losers in any Court case have to pay all the Court Fee's and all the Winners Fee's and expenses? Can anyone please explain if I have got my facts wrong, or just misunderstood what happened in this particular Court case?

Surely they should get back the money that they had to put in to cover the “ shortfall “ , which was actually taken off then illegally. Then they should have compensation on top. Did the management have to wait this length of time for their excessive bonuses ? I doubt it, they would not have stood for it , so why have those that have been treated illegally have to wait?

Treasury minister with no straight answers, and zero accountability. For something as significant as this to not cross the desk of senior leaders to drive clear, fair and quick resolution shows a lack of character, leadership and values. This is quickly becoming a referendum on bureaucratic incompetence. The unwillingness of government leaders to be accountable to the public. Their willingness to hide behind their lackeys and obfuscated processes and spend hundreds of millions of pounds on legal fees all to escape culpability, dither, relish in bureaucracy's Byzantine ladders of complexity. They don’t mind spending billions of pounds of our money on systems that don’t work, on legal fees to defend the indefensible, for salaries and bonuses and payouts to criminal executives and their bureaucratic/business enablers, etcetera. And they think they’re showing us value by being scant on payouts in response to forensically audited compensation requests. And then further litigating and drawing this out further in time and fees for many more months?!?! Who is this woman?! Quickly shaping up to be another scandal, this lack of leadership and character will bleed out into more scandal.
