I remember this video as a 3 year old on RAGE in Australia, legit was mind blowing graphics back then and made me delve into the world of computers and video games. Thanks Hocus Pocus!
I remember some family friends were over, super religious, and their mum was freaking out that the graphics on this song contained subliminal messages.
That's quite funny, because they played this one every time they had the speed skating session at the local ice skating rink here in Christchurch, New Zealand back in the '90s.
The craziest thing about this song is that it jumped ahead of celine dion to become the number one selling single for 6 weeks on the Australian charts! Lol there must have been some good drugs going around then
@@MarkCisOfTheLoonieLeft Actually, unlike a lot of 90's music, I don't think this has aged well *at all*. It's literally just a monotone stab in the same pattern over and over again. It's kind of terrible LOL. Stuff like Leftfield, Afro left - now THAT has ages well. Timeless really. Just my opinion so don't shoot me!
My 6yr old daughters door was squeaking & I said "that reminds me of the start of Here's Johnny hang on I'll show you" now she's cracking up laughing at me dancing 😂 damn 20yrs later & my body just kicks in to the beat automatically 🙌😂💖
Absolute fucking classic! Spent my early years in Australia and this is what got me hooked on Dutch hardcore. I was shocked to find out in my teens and later that practically no one in Europe knows this song. I legitimately asked the DJ to play this at my year 6 farewell!

Funfact.. this song was a number one hit in the Aboriginal desert communities when this came out.. as I found out when I went to do DJ workshops in a place called Elliot.. middle of the outback.. the whole town loved this song 😅🤷🏾♂️
loved Central records, downstairs to pick up the latest version of 'juicy red apple'. I still have my old copies from the mid 90's. My favourite is the from the sonic rave at a brookvale factory, our lift freaked out on his Egg and left us stranded..all the way back to the inner west. Still have some old mix tapes like nik fish's 'rewind' 94.
Wow man what a blast from the past.i did a lot of bad drugs to this song in the 90s and to be honest I took enough chemicals I could of started my own lab.how I'm walking around with all my cognitive functions intact has to be a small miracle.some didn't male it and some did to be tragically taken later.i raise my Monster Juice to those who weren't as lucky as me.

As a teen I loved this song. Can't belive it still holds up to the test of time. Such fantastic song. I thought it would be daggy and weird but no. Stll love mid 90s music.
Hearing this takes me back to being a kid in the '90s, running around a lasertag arena full of machine fog and blacklight paintings. I can almost smell the fog juice...
It's definitely old techno. A bit clunky and slow compared to the trance and hardcore that bloomed from these early innovators. But you can still enjoy the stuff, and allow the memories & nostalgia to enhance the experience. This track is raw. We expect things to be so polished now.

Jayson Haebich the pills were much stronger
To be fair, Celine Dion is kinda shit though. I mean, I'm sure she's a nice person, but ...
They were designer drugs back then, made by brilliant chemists. Now days they're cooked up in toilets by any dumb cunt.
I watched this on acid when I was 22 that was 23 years ago still gives me flashbacks
Yeah was a massive hit
How good was Rage and Recovery on ABC and Michael Tunn and the Request Fest on Triple J! This song reminds me of that time in my life.
Never been as blown away by a new track as when this was released. It still sounds like it's from the future.
I literally "went off" to this on my 21st.
Had a wild night of dance and drink.
I am now just about 50.
Shit this is old! Like me!
Yet still sounds like the future compared to the mainstream pop charts.

Ahh yes the 90’s oldstyle/hardcore! Samples from every movie you were fond of brought to you in a dystopian atmosphere houseparty! The good ol’ days!
I was expecting a Johnny Carson opening sample as that's what The Shining refers to.
THIS TIME, IT'S WAR. Aliens for the uninitiated.
I'm not even mad that this was the number 1 song on the aussie charts when I was born.
i wish tbh
