- This video is a showing the difference in the two types of model screens for the surface Pro 7. If they crack it is confusing to replace due to this issue. This helps in this replacement.
Appreciated. This was totally confusing the heck out of me.
thank you, this was invredibly helpful, now i wont order the wrong screen
lol thank you save me a lot of time
Are the connectors different from version 1 and 2?
The connectors (the physical place where you have to connect the wires to the display) are the same, but arranged differently. I know this because I bought the wrong screen (I need LP123WQ1, but bought LP123WQ2).
I connected it and it works correctly, but I can't assemble it - because the screen is in the wrong place (slightly shifted).
What I want to know - could I just buy wires for LP123WQ2 - or I have to buy another screen?
@@Ganeleshello, did you solve it? I think if you bought the cables it should work
@@eduardobatista7814 yes, you are right. I bought correct cables and it works :) i have working TAB now
Is there any way to tell without opening the device?
i dont think so, ive read through everything on the outside of this thing and it says nothing! Guess i gotta open it before i order the part eh? I hate having to do that.
anyway you will open device, so just open it and order correct display :)
