That was a fantastic time capsule! I'm so glad you shared the unboxing with us, it was lots of fun and nostalgic for me. I'm a proud American, but I agree Hudson Bay Company should be owned by Canadians.
Wow. My Mom died in 2020 at 82 yrs old. I was going through some of her things (still tons to do!) Anyway in her bedroom closet she has a basket & everything was wrapped in tissue paper. When I opened one and saw it was the topper from her wedding cake I cried. I couldn't believe she had it all these years. My Dad died really young at 60; that was too sad. My Mom was only 54. They were married in 1957. I know her wedding gown is stored in the cedar closet downstairs. ♥
That’s a very sweet story and we would have cried too! It’s amazing what treasures people keep and also what causes an emotional reaction. I remember seeing a flashlight of my grandmother’s that she would tuck under our pillows in case we ever got scared of the dark❤️😢
