Angela and Natasha Talk Movie Making!
I miss your crazy self! Love the videos # HIDUPZ
What a cute bag! I can imagine wearing it to jeans and a button down shirt. Angela, I miss your regular videos. Any chance you bring them back?
We have a new series starting in September that we’re really excited about! Looking forward to lots of new content in the fall🥰
@@swishvintagefindsforyoursa6094 Can't wait! 😘😘
Channel peep toe?
I want it so badly to watch this video all the way through but unfortunately, I have a major problem with hearing certain sounds. ASMR practically makes me scream out loud so the rattling of those brittle, awful plastic garment covers sent me running.
Oh no😢
Well, I'm going to subscribe anyway just because I enjoy the content. But if I hear plastic covers rattling I'll have quickly exit! 😂❤❤❤
Glad to discover another wonderful Chanel. I adore Doris and her channel. Truly a delightful collaborative video. Thank you.
So you’re saying Is That if Vintage clothing doesn’t come from an estate, it’s not A vintage shop whether it be online or a brick and mortar store? It doesn’t matter where the pieces come from what matters is the care that’s taken on each piece. Curation comes from many different places whether it’s estate sales thrift shops rag houses garage sales.
We have 60 seconds to make a quick reel and not enough time to discuss fully the different categories. We often have people who specifically use the word “thrifting” and are surprised by the price difference in my shop compared to charity shops. Most of our clothing comes from an estate situation. Anyway, just a quick vid to show some examples of differences.
That is a great explanation, thanks.
You are welcome!🌸
I could listen to Doris all day!
Me too!❤️
🎉❤🎉 Yay!! Great to see you!! Sorry I’m a little late watching , but will make sure to check sooner!! You 3 are stunning !!
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
That pleated dress is AMAZING ! ❤
Right?!❤️
To think those might be handmade is amazing.
They have proprietary knitting machines! They are really impressive!
Omg... A steamer trunk??? Id pass out!!!
Me too!
Balmain is probably my favorite❤❤❤they make some of the most beuatiful things iv ever seen!!!!
Pretty extraordinary to say the least 🥰
I dont know how u vintage people sell these peices❤❤❤❤id go out of bussiness because id keep it all!!!! 😂❤❤❤
You haven’t seen all our closets😂😂
@@swishvintagefindsforyoursa6094 mine are bulging... I have one closet that literally makes this vaccumy overstuffed blump noise when i open it i have to push it closed with my whole self... Looks like im pushing a car.. lololololololol
Beuatiful ❤❤❤
Shoot!!! Todays hats hardly ever fit me... Iv a huge head... And 6ft... It stinks cause i loooove hats
I hear you😉
As someone whos collected clothes for 45 yrs i can attest to the difference in quality.... At what point did manufacturers think plastic fabric was a good idea... Or the one sided printed fabrics.... I collect kimonos and iv ordered a few from "cheap" retailers and omg never again... The fabrics are soooo crappy.... Iv started sewing my own....❤❤❤loved this video by the way
Thank you so much for watching 🙏❤️
Sheer and sexy
Great to see you and Saturday’s Favourite again - have missed it!
More to come!❤️
Ladies, you three are the epitome of femininity! Natasha got us used to a super sensual look, but Angela, you have undergone a metamorphosis. Simply stunning...
Wow, thank you! What a wonderful compliment ☺️❤️Thank you so much for watching xx
Natasha, you looked great in eyeglasses. 💖
Oh thank you! Nice of you to say🥰
They eyeglass frames are fabulous ! 🥰
Hard to pick just one🤓
@@swishvintagefindsforyoursa6094 😁
No jewelry was harmed in today's episode. 🤣
🤣🤣
Natasha has the dropsies today. 😍
She sure does!
The pink jeans go well with the pink blazer. The jeans match the lighter pink stripes in the blazer. 🩷
Pink goes with everything 😘

Hi Kim ! 🩷
kislux I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter
Thank you so much💕
I wish they made shoulder pads to make my waist look smaller. 😍
🤣🤣🤣

I’m sure you have a fabulous collection! Such a fun thing to collect, use and display 💕💕
I learned something, thanks.
Glad to hear it!❤️
Escada really is beautiful. I cannot even describe the luxury of wearing vintage pieces by it. It's like being in a world of class, sophistication and elegance in clothing and behaviour. So different from today's one. Angela, you look so chic!
It elevates an everyday outfit without much effort! Thank you so much🥰
It looks great on you. That is a good price for such a nice leather coat.
Thank you! Yes, that brand in particular is soooooo expensive. There’s one listed for $13,000 currently 😳
Simply divine
Isn’t it!😍
Wow! So thrilled to see you both and thank you for the inspiration.
Thanks for watching!😍
All of furs make me think of Lauren Becall, Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, etc.. Very Hollywood golden era. Trends can be fun for inspiration and to accessorize, but I think a wardrobe should be mainly quality classic items. And yes, where did all of the great ladies pants go?!
Agreed! Classic pieces will last a lifetime! We need to do a video of “where are all the pants?”😳
You found some beautiful things. We have a quilt my grandfather made, he was a man of many interests. Thanks.
Oh wow! That was an unusual pursuit for men, although not anymore. That would be a cherished thing!
@@swishvintagefindsforyoursa6094My husband and I are taking sewing classes together (my idea) and he is sooooo much better than me.
I love the old men's hats, I have the best picture of my grandfather wearing a homburg. I hope they come back.
Great finds ! You need to go to more garage sales. 😍
I know!!🥰
Here’s another aspect, those Cloche hats were made from worsted wool and over time wool shrinks
This particular cloche is straw but I’m sure that happens😊
@@JuliaFrancisEmilyLouise i still cant get over a cloche hat i left behind that acually fit me.... Rats! O well thats the nature of collecting
@@shannanberry I collect far too many things but if I collected everything I wanted to there be no room in my house
@@JuliaFrancisEmilyLouise iv still a few inches left... To my defense... I live in a tiny apt. .... Lolololol
I think this is a case of survivors bias. A lot of the larger garments in more common sizes were more likely to be purchased and used, the smaller sizes weren’t. It’s not that people were smaller, the smaller stuff is just in abundance due to lack of demand. Humans haven’t been that much bigger or smaller over the years.
I would say survivor bias too but I've been in an old college auditorium that hadn't been touched since the 1920, and the seats were very small. College aged young men would sit in those seats and I could barely fit in them. I was probably 19/20 years old back then and probably wore a size 10?
@@mroxannevh you need to be careful with personal anecdotes because it’s not a universal thing, especially what you described. There’s a local theater built in the town I live in that was build in 1880, the original seats fit modern people just fine.
I also agree with survivor bias. I restore and refurbish vintage and antique hats, along with clothing and shoes, and I have a large range of sizes. Honestly the most versatile hats that fit a range of head sizes are the ones that need the most repair because they were worn most. Same with clothing and shoes. I will say that sizes did not go quite as large as they do today, this is true in sewing patterns as well. The largest women’s sewing patterns topped at 46 bust and men about the same. We should also remember that from the 1920s through the 40s either a slim figure was preferred, massive depression with starvation rampant, and rationing with war.
I was going to suggest that. Smaller sizes were either left unsold or were not worn as much when younger people outgrew them fast. Also it's not a general rule but we're much more likely to keep and care for that one garment we wore once o twice when we're young and smaller than something we wore everyday to death.
@@obsidianrosestudio2663I agree about the sizing, although it doesn't mean larger and taller bodies didn't exist even in times of scarcity. When you factor in genetics and age bigger bodies always existed, and even if they were a minority, it explains why stores like Lane Bryant in the US existed. I think that the disparity between the same size in modern vs vintage garments is largely due to the introduction of vanity sizing in the 80s. At least where I'm from, aside from ready to wear there was an even more florid scene of small and bigger seamstresses and tailors who exclusively made bespoke garments up until the 1960s and had a wide variety of sizes.
They ate less processed food. America was smaller when most meals were prepared at home
There’s much more to it than that but definitely a factor.
Absolutely not! I'm not that into nature😂
🤔 Nope!
Hmmm, I'll pass on those, but I would buy those yellow dishes. 🥰
Beautiful dishes everywhere 🥰
@@swishvintagefindsforyoursa6094 I know. I watch a couple of French Chateau YT channels and they go to the charity shops where they find the most amazing dishes and glassware, along with so many other good finds. 😍

🤣😂
I love to see your favs and love the theme. So interesting so good.
You know, hearing the regret of selling certain items makes me feel a lot better because every day I’d get those intrusive thoughts and beat myself up for it. 😅 I even wondered if I should see a hypnotist to make me forget about it but I’m not gonna open that Pandora’s box.
We all have those moments of regret but there’s nothing that can be done to bring the piece back! Onward and upward and happy future discoveries ahead💕💕💕
Beautiful city and a beautiful day. I hope you enjoyed it.
Yes, thank you, I sure did💕
Blondie forever!
