You're right about the blue canteen. They are a small round wooden barrel in cornflower blue.

This was a really great tutorial. Thank you for taking the time to share so much information and give confidence that 6mm can be painted to a very high standard! Question - what do you use for primer over the metal miniature?

I've used several different types through the years. Citadel was my bread and butter for a long time. Very consistent albeit higher cost. These ones in particular were done using Vallejo surface primer applied by brush.
