Agree. I can't remember hearing Prime say anything negative about media, or other teams, unless he was responding to some attack. I don't like everything they've done at CU, nor do I need to, but I see that Prime tries his best to lift people up rather than engage in attacks and negativity.
I don't "like" him. Don't like his style. Don't like his coaching ability. Don't like his school. And I enjoy watching the whole thing crash and burn. Which it most certainly will do.
Saying that Coach Prime shouldnt also focus on building a brand, exposes your failure to comprehensively grasp the business of college football. CU brand was weak/dormant, and needed to be revived. A strong brand increases exposure, which affects recruitment , generates revenue, and excites the donor base. All CU games have been on national tv this season...that's a result of brand building. Plenty of programs have winning seasons, and the tv networks could care less.
Thank you for critical thinking....When you start seeing CU merchandise being worn in Iowa....The irony is Deion Sanders maybe the only reason many of them have a job.....ESPN IS LAYING OFF....
Typical. Deion does it his way, they say it can't work. Then when it works, they reluctantly acknowledge the success, and then go right back to saying he can't do it his way. I don't think I'm the only person who noticed how much shorter THIS clip was than the one about how his program was falling apart and he was running for the hills.... Funny how the much the people who say coach Prime talks too much talk... Until he succeeds.
They always say "Deion says things" and thats why they criticise him smh The haters are allowed to say things about Coach Prime and his team but they're not allowed to respond? 😂 I've never seen Colorado players or CP attack someone 1st, the hate for Colorado doesn't make sense, the man literally teaches the importance of respect and hardwork to his young team, how can anyone hate that?

He was never building a brand it was always about football the problem is y’all expected a 1-11 team to win a championship his first year 🤣🤣🤣 then when they lost you got mad his son never stopped recording
Well he actually did build a brand. Because Colorado was in shambles. They didn't even have the money to pay him, which they publicly admitted. Prime said "Don't worry, I'll bring the money to the school, for you to be able to pay me"
I’m just being honest give Deion the beef on the inside that bama or Georgia got …. Not even give him Florida OL and he’s in the bowl game easy. Leader of men
You say CU needed to focus on building a program instead of building a brand and just now, currently they're finally doing that? C'mon its Coach primes second season at the Power 5 level. Last year they won more than 4x what they did in the previous season before prime got there. And now they are a legitimate contender in college football. Possible Big 12 champions. It has only been improvement from the time he stepped in Boulder. But its hard to discern that with this western programmed media who are rooting against you no matter how much good you do. Flash back to the picnics they used to have while a burned body is hanging in a tree over their heads. Their progamming is deep past down through their bloodlines.
Exactly. You can criticize the results objectively, right now...but you don't totally judge the final work until the masterpiece is completely finished. That's the issue. They were/are judging Coach Prime from Day 1...as if he had been at CU for 5 years already. Usually, college coaches get 3-4 years before they can get their college record fully graded. Give him 4-5 years before you start acting crazy. He's already made quantum leaps with the players, coaches, administration and fans! OH, and he (they) did it in 2 years.
What things? Well that's easy to answer. When he does things like stand up straight, look people in the eye, tell the truth, and keep it real...while being unapologetic about it. You can't do that in America if you are his color. We suppose to stay in our "place." Sko Buffs!
What comes to mind is “shut up and play basketball.” That’s what he really means. It hurt so bad for him to give COACH PRIME some credit. He never called him coach. Smh
Coach Prime does NOT have to change his behavior to make Paul and the media like him personally. The product on the field did all the talking, and that is the only thing they should be focusing on. Leave Prime alone.
The backhanded compliments are just as disgusting as the unfair criticism. You both got egg in your faces and to imply that CP needs to shut up and just play...exposes exactly who you both really are.
The fact is, what Deion Sanders accomplished with his winning record and the way he turned the Jackson State University (JSU) football team around into a winning program is indisputable, especially considering that the program was in a state of disrepair when he took over. It is also a fact that a person's work history is a good indication of their ability to succeed and deliver, particularly in a field of their experience and expertise, as is the case with Deion in the NFL and football as a whole. Knowing all this, it seems disingenuous for Paul Finebaum and other critics to mercilessly deride, dismiss, and slander Deion Sanders as a person and his work as the Colorado University (CU) football head coach. If Deion Sanders were a Caucasian coach from North Dakota State University (NDSU), which is an FCS school like JSU, who transitioned to a Power Five program (or Power Four now) or FBS school after having had the kind of success he had at JSU, critics like Paul Finebaum would not have mercilessly slandered and derided him and his way of building a non-existent CU football program from scratch, especially considering this is only his second year leading the program. In Deion's first year as head coach of CU football, he achieved a 300 or 400 percent improvement from where he started. This is why many of Deion's supporters believe he is unfairly maligned and criticized by his detractors with ulterior motives. It's not that Paul Finebaum and other critics do not have the right to criticize Deion Sanders' head coaching prowess. His supporters frown upon their unfair criticisms because they believe the critics' motives are rooted in inherently aggrieved biases towards an outspoken, self-assured, sales and marketing genius like Deion Sanders, a Black man who evidently had to generate visibility and revenue for an FBS football program that was in the doldrums before he took over as head coach. NDSU, like many FCS schools, has had many of its players transition to the NFL and flourish. The criticisms from Paul Finebaum and others like him do not make sense in this context.
I'm really actually waiting for the end of the season when CU goes to a bowl game or sneaks into the CFP and win a few. Then, they need to replay Paul NOT-so-Finne-bum's comments about Colorado being "irrelevant in college football." Make him eat the same words that came out of his pie-hole.

Iced out watches and Chains Pulling up in Rolls Royces Shades on at Press Conferences Confidence and Swag to only we can bring C'mon yall Deion is the Proud Black Man with the most popular program in CFB ...and Winning I know exactly why their hating...and its Beautiful
Paul Finebaum and other critics of Deion Sanders’ personality-suggesting he makes everything about himself-is based on a biased and aggrieved perception. While "perception" may be a reality for some, especially those with mental health issues or those harboring biases, the truth is that their perceptions are often murky. In this case, many of the misplaced criticisms and mischaracterizations of Deion Sanders seem rooted in the critics' grievances regarding his sales and marketing genius. It does not help that he is a Black man in a society or area dominated by Caucasians, who may not be receptive to his style of drawing attention to his successes at work. Many would rather he remain meek and not speak out against the lies told about him that aim to tarnish his reputation. Meekness is not always the same as being humble. In-spite of Deion Sanders seeming yearn to sell and draw attention to his work for the sake of creating more revenue, he's actually very "humble" - as in "conscious of one's (his) failings" and "courteously respectful." Despite this, Deion's sales and marketing strategies have been superbly constructed to promote, enhance visibility, and create significant revenue in a field where he was tasked with generating interest and funding for his program-of which there was none when he took over. Deion has masterfully succeeded, not only generating boundless revenue for the school program but also benefiting the city, state, and various businesses. The fact is, everyone who has a job or is in business is expected to perform well. When someone excels in their job, it’s natural for them to expect compensation that reflects their contributions. Deion works hard and has created opportunities for many people and institutions to make millions from his efforts and those of his surrounding team. He is smart enough to understand that he and his team should be appropriately recognized and compensated for a job well done. Especially since he is in a business where winning is everything. It's only fair that the team is recognized, compensated, and praised when they win, as they are brutally and unfairly vilified, mocked, and attacked when they lose. This leads to the criticism he faces, where detractors falsely characterize his success as him making everything about himself. In truth, perceptions are not always reality.
The facts that this mf thinks prime care about what he talking about, dude really said Prime should talk less now because they giving him props 😂😂😂 these folks are clowns. Prime NEVER layed low. We need to question you. What’s the branding got to do with football. If you knew football then you would know that Deion has been bold from day one. That’s like telling you not to be your corny self dude. Be yourself and understand that Deion is different from you. He’s been part of super bowls , hall of fames, baseball/ World Series. Swac championships and a 4-1 start to the season.
*"Instead of Coach building a brand, he's now building a team". Meanwhile back on earth, Colorado didn't even have the money to pay him, he said no problem, I'LL MAKE THE MONEY COME TO YOU, TO PAY ME!!!*
After watching this video, it's clear that Matt Barrie and Paul Finebaum’s critiques of Coach Prime go beyond football. They're not just upset about play-calling or Sanders' tactics on the field; their issue seems to be with his confidence and how that confidence challenges the norms in college football. Historically, white men have dominated coaching positions, while the majority of athletes on the field are Black. Coach Prime, with his charisma, leadership, and strong connection to Black players, threatens this structure. His presence, influence, and success are a direct challenge to the longstanding power dynamics in college sports. By fostering a deeper bond with his athletes and showing that leadership extends beyond just wins and profits for the university, Sanders is breaking barriers and stereotypes placed on Black coaches and athletes. The undertones of Barrie and Finebaum's comments reflect a fear of this shift. It’s not about football at all-it’s about power and who holds it. With Sanders rising in prominence, he’s proving that Black men can lead, inspire, and dominate in coaching positions, and that fact doesn’t sit well with those who have benefitted from the white-dominated coaching ranks. Their criticisms, laced with racial undertones, reveal a desperation to cling to a false sense of superiority in a sports world that’s evolving beyond their outdated views. But Sanders is showing the world, especially young Black athletes, that there’s more to coaching than making money for universities-it’s about creating leaders and breaking free from the shackles of stereotypes that have limited Black men in sports for far too long.
lol Paul still pukin in his toilet he had to give Coach Prime any credit ... also some have picked up on it but Barrie is just as much a Prime hater as Finebaum and Jason Hamhock among others ... don't just give Paul the smoke him too lol
It’s so interesting that when you don’t conform to the good ole boys’ ways and methods you’re not taken seriously. They want you to shut up, bow down and do as you’re told. Much of what you see in modern football can be attributed to Prime. The TD celebrations, the glitz, the glamour, the flash and the fashion. Most of which ppl would consider unnecessary and over the top, but it has added to the game and brought more attention and viewership. Thus, more revenue. Ultimately Prime is celebrating life and being opportunistic with every move he makes.
That's the stupidest thing I ever heard! Stop worrying about building a brand just focus on football. Uh he's been doing both for years and quite successfully I mught add! His brand is why cfb has been so exciting and schools ticket sales have gone up when they could never sell out bc of the Buffs football brand. Win or lose these guys are always winners bc eyes will always be on them. They're exciting to watch. Period!
Matt, lay off Coach Prime and his brand promotion. This is what has Colorado in the spotlight and as a result, the big 12 as well. You, Paul and most coaches around the country are just jealous because you all can't draw attention in that manor. Every game Colorado plays is a sellout due to Coach Prime's spotlight and every team who plays them feeds off Coach Primes shine for their little 15 minutes of fame. This why you and Paul can't keep Prime's name out of your mouths. Why do you think Kansas booked their Colorado game at arrowhead Stadium? The "Prime Effect" is celebrated by the TV Network execs because it brings in the eyeballs and the big bucks. College football is big business, and those TV execs would tell you to shut your mouth telling Coach Prime to cool down his brand promotion.
This guy flip flop so much, I can't take him seriously, because if Colorado loses a game, he'll be back to dogging them out. I could actually respect a hater who keeps hating no matter if the team is winning. At the end of the day, he and others want Prime to fail, end of subject....
Don't tell Prime what he shall do because you guys hated on coach prime and his son as QB ... Dude just got to Colorado last year n you people hated so much on prime
Reality is, opposing players and coaches come at him and them. Colorado NEVER goes after opposing coaches and players. NOW, they will respond both on and off the field but not 1x can you say they've initiated the pregame attacks.
Yall fan base is hilarious. How do you say the media hates Colorado when they have Colorado on national television every single week despite who their opponent is and despite only winning 4 games last year. You can’t turn on the tv without seeing at least one commercial with Deion in it. Yet everyone hates Colorado and no one wants them to succeed. These games/commercials are not just catering to Colorado fans you know. So please stop the us against the world moniker because yall sound ridiculous
Prime has always been prime he hasn’t changed. The team improved. There is a reason why Colorado is these prime time slots.. They are exciting to watch and because of “Prime”..
They know hating on prime will get them views. It’s a smart scam. But at the same time read the comments. People don’t like either one of you because you just hating for no reason. I wouldn’t want ad revenue that bad. It’s not worth people not liking me just to get some views! 🤷🏽♂️
Deion uses Paul, like Ali used Howard C. Deion needs this "fake" hate narrative to drive his team forward. Now reality most of the college fans are watching CU, and that is what you want.
It’s just culture and these guys don’t get it. They have a traditional conservative view on how things should be done and then there’s a way a fully empowered cool black man does things. As long as Coach Prime can continue to win at Colorado the too recruits will gravitate

Top 5 weekly rankings 4 11th seed and 12th seed in the SEC Invitational. 1- Army 2- UNLV 3-Navy 4- Boise Stae 5-Jmad.
They'll never be satisfied cuz his way isn't their way
You can see the pain on their faces😢!! In my Prime voice, “do you believe, do you believe now”!! We keeping the receipts on all you fools!!
When Deion & Colorado LOSE their videos are 15+ minutes long. When Colorado WINS the video is 3 minutes 😂….I wonder why?🤔
Pauls energy seems a little off? 😂😂 I know it hurts him to admit it.
Finebaum looks like sits when he pees
What does he mean at 0:50 “I don’t need to add to the Travis Hunter situation”
Does he mean give him credit for his production???
Coach Prime don’t give a F about what y’all 2 say about him, he’s going to continue to do it his way
lol Paul still pukin in his toilet he had to give Coach Prime any credit ...
also some have picked up on it but Barrie is just as much a Prime hater as Finebaum and Jason Hamhock among others ... don't just give Paul the smoke him too lol
Period!
Back handed compliments.
🎯
Hey !!! They are now saying that coach prime can stop talking positive about his team and embarrassing them because of their inaccurate takes. 😂😂😂
Matt Barrie’s repeated “shut up and coach” to coach prime is cringe worthy
They really hate CU GO PRIME
This guy flip flop so much, I can't take him seriously, because if Colorado loses a game, he'll be back to dogging them out. I could actually respect a hater who keeps hating no matter if the team is winning. At the end of the day, he and others want Prime to fail, end of subject....
Don't tell Prime what he shall do because you guys hated on coach prime and his son as QB ...
Dude just got to Colorado last year n you people hated so much on prime
Coach Prime needs to do exactly what he wants to do. Colorado is a brand and a program now.
Why can’t he build both ? It’s prime time he can build anything he can sell anything y’all make no sense
Its funny how Paul says CP "managed" the team unstead of coached the team. His heart has got to be heavy carrying around so much hate.
LMAOOOO. Paul is angry he has to do this.
They both sound salty
“I don’t need to add to the Travis hunter situation” 😂😂 sir yes you do !! SKO BUFFS
All you can do is laugh at these two talking heads… he told y’all “you better get me now”
Reality is, opposing players and coaches come at him and them. Colorado NEVER goes after opposing coaches and players. NOW, they will respond both on and off the field but not 1x can you say they've initiated the pregame attacks.
They both are still HATERS!!!!!!
WHo youu callin a sycophant Finebum???😂
People been hating on deion since the 90s... one day theyll learn dont poke the dog
😒⁉️... THE DEFINITION OF "SALTY HATERS" ...😅...
I agree, you talking heads. Give us the facts, not your moronic opinions, and let the facts speak for themselves.
Quit being haters. Deon Sanders is changing the game. ❤
That's Why
They're mad Deion is winning..Two clowns.
