The economic impact of the small businesses is also important to add here. I would also say real estate as well. Deion has impacted every aspect of not only football and college, but economic advancement for the region as well
That's the main benefit of a winning football team on those 6 home game weekends (to businesses and town coffers) and to CU for the sale of sweatshirts, hats, etc. Boulder already is a busy tourist town, and interestingly has always had the highest grossing Target in the U.S. (for its size) even when the team record is only 1-11, partly because of students but mostly because there are no alternatives in Boulder...no Walmart or other similar stores.
BOOM!!! Every Colorado Buffs Merchandise item put on the end caps or shelves of any and every business of not only Colorado businesses or stores, but the stores of businesses of the region or country wide will sell. This is GREATLY benefitting Colorado, but is positively enriching businesses who 'Believe' across the country and possibly the entire world. I bought a Green Bay Packer Jersey and cap in the Middle East when the GB Packers was 'HOT'. The Buffs merch (I'm sure) is world wide.
$108m for 7 years($15.43m annually), that is a better number to work with and gives him foundation to bring in top recruits, plenty of 4⭐️ & 5⭐️’s, knowing he is going to remain the coach for Colorado.
Why people think this man is hurting for money? Did you forget he has football, baseball, and endorsement money. I honestly believe he’s coaching to help these young men become better men and to for feel their dreams. I get it everybody time is valuable. I’m sure he knows how to negotiate a contract. He’s not worried about our pockets. Why worry about his.
Exactly!!! When you watch a CU game your Bound to see atleast 5 commercials Starring him some with his family Others with Saban or Alone. He isn’t hurting for cash he’s rather the money go to facilities and NIL than his pockets
You want to help Deon go buy some Colorado swag he getting a piece of everything that gets sold, and that has nothing to do with his base salary or incentives.
Another important take. Do you know who else is on the hook for making sure Coach Deion Sanders is appropriately paid? Let’s also add these to the list. Nike. ESPN. Fox Sports. Aflac. KFC. California Almonds. Louis Vuitton. Oikos. Gatorade. Yormark and every Big 12 program that plays CU is getting valuable exposure with Prime in the conference. Sure CU needs to pay. But so does everyone riding Coach Prime’s name, image, and likeness. If Vanderbilt is getting $21.5 million per year as part of ESPN’s media payout, then why wouldn’t Prime’s Colorado get the same kind of love from the TV networks? CU is putting more AFLAC, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, and Geico ads in front of TV viewers than almost every team in the SEC or B1G. The networks need to pony up the cash and not just exploit CU at half rate.
Why are you worried about that man's bag, you wouldn't paying any attention in the beginning, he's making over $100 million dollars every year, not a complete package leave him alone he didn't ask you for your help.
to be fair, CU mortgaged the house when they initially paid him 5 million, that should be considered but yeah, CU needs Deion for at least a few more years if they want to stay relevant
Deion needs a huge raise, and I hope they tie up him for at least 5 years because Deion is building something special in Boulder,Colorado,He's gotten the guys in the program,That are buying in and the dudes who didn't are gone,Besides he don't need to the NFL just yet unless he feels he needs a new challenge,Definitely not that clown show in Dallas,Because he won't be running anything and dealing with Jerry Jones,Deion along with Warren Sapp,Shedeur,Travis Hunter and few other are making the Colorado Buffaloes revelant in College football.
While increasing the number of out-of-state students does increase the revenue from tuition, it does have its practical limits because the locals will eventually pressure the school and state legislators to back off so the locals get more slots. After all, the in-state taxpayers did pay for the school construction and most of its ongoing costs. What Coach Prime will cause to significantly rise is donations to the schools endowment fund, as will as increasing the number of large donors. Coach Prime will also increase the number of external corporate sponsors and their sponsorship level. Is Coach Prime underpaid? No. Coach Prime isn't working for room and board, paycheck to paycheck. Far from it. He is working at this job to get his sons a stratospheric start into the NFL, which it looks like he will accomplish. He is working to get all his players "paid" through the NIL system, which he is doing. He is working to add another amazing accomplishment to his already accomplished life because it is who he is. The net result will be truly golden when he decides to leave the Buffs and start the next chapter in his amazing life. He is getting very well paid in all aspects of this life.
@@janicegarcia3264 What is total unsophisticated BS is you not understanding that Coach Prime negotiated his compensation package to his satisfaction and signed the contract. What most people don't understand is that even if Deion inspired 10 million more kids to apply to CU they have no room for even one more kid. The dorms are already filled to the brim and almost all students are forced out from the dorms after Freshman year. CU's professors are notoriously low-paid compared to the best public universities in the country. Beautiful campus and great college town but everything else is done on the cheap except for the football team since Deion arrived.
Do you understand how much money the university has made because of Deion? They can pay everyone more and build new dorms now. This school is not hurting financially anymore.
@@plantbasedministries9233 With all due respect, that is sadly laughable. I've worked at CU for more than 30 years and there is zero financial impact on the rest of the university. They raise tuition on students almost every year and the faculty is still poorly paid compared to the better state universities in the nation. But it's always been good for the town's economy during the 6 weekends a year there's a home game, and of course that's always better when they're winning.
