The animation was way better when I was kid I promise 😂
@YSLYUNGUN fr
I definitely remember the animation being so much better when I was a kid lol. This was one of my favorites as a kid
Seriously I don't remember it being this chuggy and bad 🤣🤣🤣
thats because this isnt the original. i guess this channel remade it or something so it wouldnt be copyrighted
@@InsertSlogan6 this is the original
So it WAS real all this time, I thought this was some sort of false memory my mind had invented. Goddamn, this is like returning to a place you used to visit as a kid.
Same!
For real haha I could not think of this movie and I was literally wondering if I made it up in my head, I kinda glanced through it and I remember it being so much better🤣😂 I used to love this movie. I went through everything and bunch of videos trying to find this movie since I couldn’t remember the name
SAME
Yesssss I wanted to cry when I found it! I was like I remember there used to be a different Rudolph! Lol
Welcome to memories of childhood past.
This isn't exactly the best movie ever, but it still holds a special place in my heart. Watched it all the time as a kid, and I can appreciate that they decided to have Clarice play a bigger role for this movie, and even have her fly around with Rudolph.
Also,it is perfect to watch even through UA-cam as when it came out it was rated U(Short for Universal) meaning it's perfect for both youngsters and grown ups too
Agreed
The entire soundtrack in this movie is phenomenal and you cannot convince me otherwise
The ending music especially, I put it up with guardians 2 for the yondu death where it invokes emotion that gives you chills
It's hard to find the original song Wish upon a Star
It is. The cast is good too. The animation is lacking detail though.
@@abc.animal5143 you prune it has perfect detail and is not lacking any whatsoever
@@stephensnell5707 so your saying that’s just style?
Boy I haven't seen this movie in a _long_ time, and somehow with all the weirdness all I could ever actually remember was the balloon and that the villain looks like those thieves from Spyro
Do you know I never thought of that.
Holy shit what the fuck, no one else in the world has ever said something that felt like it was so specifically pulled out of my own brain. Something that I knew noone else would ever understand what I was talking about if I said that. because both the toy taker and the guys from spyro are so obscure. Thank you for blowing my mind
I thought the villain looked like secret squirrel
The Toy Taker reminds me of Mr. Dark from Rayman
@@carlosdiner729 he's like a Mashup of the two
I saw this movie back in early 2000s when I was like 5 or years old and dont really remember anything from the plot. But when I watch it now 20 years later I get a strange warm feeling inside with every scene that plays. Everything is so familiar, yet so distant at the same time.
And when Bumble cries, that gets me.

Holy shit this is all such a distant memory but all so warm & familiar
BRO SAME WTAF IS GOING ON
I can’t explain it but I feel like this movie shaped a lot of my personality when I was a kid I was like “yeah I’m a misfit” and then just grew up one forever
Better to be a misfit than normal, in my book. Speaking as someone who’s grown up with a visual disability all his life, I used to resent it every day but now I wouldn’t want to be changed for anything
no but actually i was thinking this earlier! always felt like i could never fit in! and still don't lol 😂😅
"You left my staff one elf short!" Says the guy who gave Hermie permission to open up his own office in the first movie.
It's possible that the stress of being a manager of these elfs probably caused him to have forgotten about that. XD
@@chippy2023 that makes sense I guess lol.
It's Herbie they don't say his name right
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid and creeped out at the same time. So awesome to see it again as an adult
Honestly this is a guilty pleasure at Christmas time as I saw this before the original as a kid but at the same it's understandable why people think it's bad especially considering the animation but I'd cut some slack since this was low budget
Ngl I came back here trying to face my childhood fears. First the hippo scene then the toy taker. After this I’m on to facing the chocolate milk guy from my little pony😂😂
Every scene i see I'm like ooohhh yeahhhh somehow i remember it but don't at the same time-

I legit used to randomly watch this on my VHS In my room. Also I had some Christmas lights from the tree in my room so it set the tone as a night light ☺️

One of my earliest memories is waking up to watch this twice in the living room before my parents woke up lol
I’d force my grandma to play this movie every time we came over to her house when I was little, even when it wasn’t Christmas.
And now seeing it years later I can’t believe I didn’t notice how bad the animation is, yet I don’t care

Am I the only one that thinks it’s not that bad ?😂😂 especially for it’s time
I did this with the Grinch too, every time I went to my grandma's house
Man the Toy Taker was the only villain I actually liked when I was a kid.
Me too.
Well it turned out it was a teddy bear who was misunderstood and trying to rescue toys from being thrown away by outgrown kids in the harrowing darkness of cardboard boxes at the dump that he suffered what a sad story
i love rick moranis
@@alechanson1605yes absolutely that is the most saddest bit of all
At 1:01:36, that line is a reference to the one from Wizard of Oz. Remember?
Wizard: "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"
Toy Taker/Mr. Cuddles: Pay no attention to the teddy bear behind the cloak!'
So underrated.
The part where Hank refers to the Blimp as a giant flying football is absolutely hilarious and has me in laughter
Hanks voice actor voices zane in ninjago
"please don't tell me I need a root canal 🥺"
"You need a root canal!"
I came here just for this one line, as I sit at the dentist's waiting room, for my root canal.
I'm sad now.
i loved this as a child, lookin back at it, some of the characters are nightmare fuel
That’s just the detail-less animation talking. I mean, even in stop motion it was kinda the same.
Want to know how good this was to me as a kid?
I never cried at all during Jessie's song in Toy Story 2, but the song where the teddy bear talks about Stephen outgrowing him and accidentally throwing him away STILL pulls on my heart.
I used to watch this all the time when I was 3, 4 maybe? It feels so familiar, yet foreign at the same time. I remembered the palace throne room part and the main building with the Christmas tree quite well.
the animation looked better in 2005
Never realized that the original had better quality animation than the sequel made 40 years later
Well the 1964 one was made by stop motion, and this is low-budgeted CGI. Maybe they should have kept it stop motion for this one too. The CGI movements are smooth and not horrible, just lacking detail and budget.
This is my favorite child hood charismas' movie. It is still a tradition to watch it every Christmas, i remember getting it in the daily mail as one of those free gifs. Still a hidden gem of a film.
SAME!!!!!!!!!!
Sad thing is that I remember most lines in the film. Watching it again made me remember it. Wish my mum bought better films for me to watch
Me too this one is part of my childhood also one of my favorite Christmas film ever when I was a kid!🎅🎄🎄🎄🦌🦌🦌
What a wonderful sequel with a very satisfying redemption for the "villain".This has become one of my Christmas classics.
Professor Hinkle, Mr. Twitchill and Jack Frost(formerly).
Definitely better than lotso
I love how many people feel so similarly about how this brings them a feeling of familiarity and comfort from childhood. Seems like yesterday but.. really puts into perspective how quickly time flies

That was the funniest thing in this, meme potential for sure
The fact I grew up on this movie for the holidays :). Came back and it still has a special place in my heart.

Does the movie look like a ps1 or ps2 game
aw. i always thought this was a fever dream, i loved this film so much. i’d watch it in the middle of summer, at easter, any time of the year. it’s such a special memory, honestky.
I love this film so much! I don’t care that the animation is dated. It came out the year I was born and I used to watch it every Christmas at my nan’s house with my sisters. Rik Moranis is great as the toy taker and remains one of my favourite animated villains to this day. I remember 4 year old me, thinking: wow he’s so cool and mysterious.
I also love queen camilla and her song and my Nan loves somewhere beyond the stars.
It’s probably because of this film that i’m reluctant to throw any of my toys away.
It literally came out months after 9/11 and it still traumatises my Nanny
My childhood😭 watching this at 21 with 3 pieces of uni coursework due hits different

What about Bumble?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this
I am a person who also remembers this film and to me it's the best animated film of the early 2000's
7:56-9:38 Always loved this music. It always reminded me so much of Stepney’s Busy theme from Thomas and Friends. Of course, this should come out as a surprise because the music was made with the E-mu Proteus 2, the same module used to make the score for Seasons 3-8 of Thomas! Now I know why it sounds so familiar. I just love it.
Also, this music occasionally uses the Kurzweil piano sound too, which it was also used in shows like Caillou, Teletubbies, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Blue’s Clues, and Between the Lions.
Wow does THIS bring back fond memories! It used to be my favourite XMas movie, I can't even tell you how many years it's been since I last saw this movie! Thank you for having this on your channel, it was a beautiful blast to the past!
What about the original and the 1998 film?
44:27 “A Toy Is Never TRUELY Happy Until It Is LOVED By A Child.”
The SAME Inspiring Line That Is Phenomenally Known In The First 1964 Special.
Toy Story, basically the same
This film truly holds a special place in my heart… I grew up watching this film and I’ll continue watching it from now on :)
Fun fact: For those that say the movie’s animation and voice-acting is terrible, if you change the speed to x1.25 in the UA-cam speed settings, the movie is slightly better.
PROOF: Watch 3:46 til the title screen, and then rewatch it in x1.25. It makes a difference.
I honestly don't mind it all too much. But I can see where you're coming from in terms of the difference I did the thing you said and it was slightly better I guess but honestly I don't mind it at normal speed if imma be honest
Nobody says the voice acting is terrible lol
@@macbarrpup2451 let me rephrase that. The voice-acting is not terrible, but rather just slow in its original speed.
@@OccasionalInc23 Yeah, that's true.
I know this was made on a budget of $20 but it's still one of my favorite Christmas movies
I haven’t watched this since I was 5 I have no idea how I remember it. There’s so much nostalgia I think i might cry.
I have primal memories of watching this on VHS. Brings back heavy nostalgia.
Early 2000s?
I truly remember watching this movie when I was a little un! I especially remember the scene with the teddy bear, because that scene always reminded me of the song when she loved me from toy story 2 where Jessie was telling Woody about her life with Emily
Exactly what I thought, it brought back memories of my Woody telling me what my sister done to him 7 years ago and he’s still mad at her
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid. That animation though, what happened 😂😂 it was way better when I was a kid
For years I merely thought that Mr. Cuddles (The Toy Taker), just lived in Castaway Cove. When I learned he was given to his original owner’s daughter, I oddly found that heartwarming
Why am I so nostalgic!?
Dunno but I am too

And the even better thing about it is there is no age limit on it either
True always find animated film's fascinating
I’m in it now literally 2 days before Christmas and my ending with Woody.EXE is happening in 16 hours time. My mother is going to cry because she adores him and never wants us to leave but me and Woody.EXE aren’t going very far
Watched this a few times in the basement of my grandparents' house on their VHS during Christmastime. Brings back good and distant memories.
Dude, someone uploaded this! Thank you! A VHS copy of this movie was a gift for my sister and me one Christmas morning and we loved it! Wonderful memory from the early 2000s for us!
bro this was iconic that hooded guy scared the living shit outta me tho 😭😭
It then turns out that it is just a Teddy Bear disguised as the Evil Toy Taker

I know everyone has nice memories of this movie but I can't help but get this really weird feeling like I remember what I felt while watching this as a kid and I can't compare it to any emotion I have now
I remember watching this as a young girl on a VCR tape with my parents singing along with the Toy Takers sad song. My parents made this movie my Christmas movie despite people possibly talking trash about the animation. I don't care though this was my childhood and all the memories are coming back to me when the days were simple and being a kid was magical and very imaginative.
The ending is so sweet

I don't remember much from watching this movie as a kid but I remember tearing up when we learn the story of Mr. Cuddles/the Toy Taker. In a way, he reminded me of Jessie from Toy Story.
I feel bad for that teddy bear Mr Cuddles since he suffered the harrowing eternal darkness of cardboard boxes at the dump after he was thrown away since his owner Steven was outgrown and he decides to rescue toys from being trashed to the dump by their outgrown owners cause he doesn't want them suffer the same fate he did What a sad story 😥
