This aint Psytrance, this is progressive edm garbage, if you guys think guys like Kshmr or armin are psytrance you guys are wrong they are wannabees. STOP disrespectin the true artist that have keep the psy scene alive by saying this is psytrance.

There is a comment with a good amount of "likes" saying that the tutorial is "garbage"... So he came here to make fun about the work of a man who is just trying to help. It's covenient to say: do better. You can teach us about how to make it better I suppose.
And, there is another guy, with a considerable amount of "likes" as well, compleinig about he is doing with "samples". I don't see on the title of the video that was a Sound Design tutorial, this is a Start to Finish tutorial of how to achieve PsyTrance vibe. Making his own sound on this kind of tutorial is Time Consuming. None every producer makes his own sound when going to make a music. This is a kind of a Preset.

I mean, how hard is to open Serum or Sylenth1 and make a bass with the saw wave? I'm guessing is too hard for you, or you are just lazy.
@@LukaReeson Ayy, are you saying there's a right & wrong way of producing & making music? Why spend extra time making something when you can get just & as good if not better outcome than what I could make in Serum. Why do you think KSHMR released 3 incredible packs? To help. Hardwell, Martin Garrix, the biggest EDM names use KSHMR dubstep fills, hoovers, synth shots. Why? As they're top quality sound at their disposal. There's no right or wrong way. Make 1 hour tutorials showing sound design if that's your forte.
@@BBrightzMusic I agree, there is no right or wrong way to make music, but if want to stand out, then you need to have your own sounds aka, your own sound signature. Of course, these big DJs will use samples, since they probably don't even have the time to make their own stuff, or they will just buy the tracks from ghost producers. I'm not saying that I never used samples, hell, at the beginning I had to use samples since I didn't know how to make a nice, phat bassline, but then I started to watch tutorials, mostly from Dash Glitch, and slowly I started to figure it out and experimenting on my own. Yeah sorry, you probably will never see any tutorials from me, since I'm very bad at explaining things.

Bro, thanks for this tutorial. Im EDM lover but i only know how to make big room house and progressive house. Im so happy that you uploaded tutorial about psytrance. You can do tutorial for dubstep or future bass or Don Diablo style future house. Great video as always

Find loop bassline (looperman-trance-140bpm) find!!!!!
How should I make the bassline pluck sound harder, like, more bassy?
Change the phase until you hear the click increase. Then redesign the kick so that the frequency of the kick and bass coincide. Use love filter or lfotool to highpass the first bass. The remove some frequencies at around 110 hertz. -5 to -7 db gets it cleaner without sucking the life out of it

@@AbhayRajan Your newbie in prod, so ill let you know about synths... For beginners best sytnh is Serum... Make 3 16th note make them a liltle smaller to avoid phase canceling. Go in serum go in Wave table editorz make 6x8 grid(x y)and make saw wave up to down, dont go all a way down to get more freq pitch, rand phase 0, phase 0 degree, go to ENV 1, attack 0, decay 100 to 120, sustain -3 to -6db, release 15 up to 20(play with envolepes). ENV 2, atrack 0, decay 70ms, sustain 60%, release 10ms. Apply ENV 2 on filter cutoff make 100% app. This is it, go to Pro Q 3, cut first harmonics of bass with 36db high pass, make bell on 550 hz and cut -3db to side chain kick play with Q on your taste, boost second harmonic and 2000hz with bells 3db enough. Go to transient shapper such as Neutron 3 or multibandshaper for Cubase, boost from 2khz to 10khz attack and make smaller sustain... Do some saturaion on your clicks(high freq) or dist... And in kick cut about 2000hz with bell again for side chain with bass.... Congrats!!!!

A good teacher explains the reasoning behind his decisions and process. Why do you choose a particular rhythm, a particular plugin, a particular order of signal processing? What is the basis of your workflow? Et cetera.
Just watching somebody do something isn't a tutorial. If you watch a plein air painter in the park you might learn something, but he's not giving a class.
If someone has a passion and wants to learn music production, they'll find this helpful. It's part 1, the tutorial has 10+ parts. I purchased a microphone to start voice tutorials.
People like you are so ungrateful these days and want everything to spot on A+ perfect. The best way to learn anything is repetition & consistency. If you don't find this specific part helpful, watch part 2,3 & 4. Or just watch another tutorial or UA-camr!

@@pnartg There's a difference in giving constructive criticism and being straight up rude. For example, If you said to me in your first comment, "Good tutorial, maybe try and show your workflow some more, or explain why you have chosen a specific sound or plugin. It would help the new producers out some more". Or something along those lines instead of straight up telling me that I'm wrong or this *isn't* a tutorial. This isn't my job, I spend my own time making tutorials, templates, feedback steams/videos to help out EDM producers and to improve their production quality. So It's quite hard to constantly be told that my video isn't helpful or isn't a tutorial. When I spend my own damn time into what I enjoy. I respond to pretty much every comment I get, or try to at least. So i'm always trying to improve as a content creator & as a person. Hope you have a wonderful day.
