Thank you for sharing, Alex! Personally, I feel overwhelmed when I use more than one notebook. That's why I stick to my Hobonichi cousin for everything. It gets thicker every day, and I absolutely love it! 😍
I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts! I think because we love our pretty notebooks, it can be hard to be honest with ourselves wether a notebook is actually serving us rather than the other way round. Seems like you were able to make practical decisions and like you said, maybe later on you can reintroduce some of them if it feels right.
Yeah definitely agreed. I am a sucker for seeing nice stationery and/or notebooks and figuring I'd find a use for them "one day". Definitely going to try and go with the flow of what feels comfy at a particular moment, without stressing myself out so much haha
I really enjoyed this; sometimes i watch creators talk about their seventeen notebooks they use and i feel like i need to do more when I've only just found a system that semi works for me. I'm sure a lot of books can work for a some people but i can't wrap my head around it and its nice to see content that i can relate to! plus I'm jazzed that you're doing what's best for you :D
love the stickers on your avec and your leuchtturm! thank you for speaking so honestly. ☺️ i def feel we can get too wrapped up in how many books we keep. i have quite a few myself but they all work so far. it’s quite admirable that you could take a step back and decide to put some away when they’re not working out. thank you for sharing! 💛
Thanks for sharing! I tried really hard at the end of last year to not repeat the mistakes of 2023 (buying too many planners) but I still ended up buying a few too many. Haha. I'm also going thru this culling of the books at the moment.
I love that you call the leuchttrum “my brain on paper”! Also, I’m seeing a lot of planner changes and crisis and all I think about is: just try a plain a notebook! It’s so easy and customisable! Thanks for sharing this!
I've found it so helpful so far, alongside my A6 which has that bit more structure. I'm getting on well with this set up so far, decorating when I want, or just highlighting and underlining when that's all I can muster
Absolutely love your color schemes for your journals. I finished 8 moleskine journals but I’m having difficulty with my Leuchttrum 1917 as a commonplace book. Hate to throw it in the failed journals category
@@unicornjasminesun thank you :-) since making this video I've ended up trying a few different books for my commonplace (and I went digital briefly). I'm currently using travellers notebook sized inserts and that's working nicely for me. The 1917 felt too big for me in the end. Maybe you're having a similar struggle?
@@alexthomascreative that’s exactly how I feel it’s too big for me. Also it has too many features for me I like the simplicity of a moleskine or a Stalogy journalist. I also think it’s because I made it strictly a commonplace book so I feel bound to only use it for common placing which makes me feel like my hands are tied.
less is more, always i, like many others, fell into the ilusion of watching my fave creators hop systems every month and change and carry a thousand books and everything they did looked so pretty, but in reality, they are creating content, and unless them i do not need 10 journals, so i learned to enjoy other's people journey without needing to make it mine

I'm pretty sure I'll be moving back to the Cousin next year for that very reason

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and plans. Looking to hearing more. Also your voice is soothing and pleasing.

thanks :-) yeah it's very easy to get swept up but i partly made this video to try and remind myself later in the year not to fall prey to it again
@@alexthomascreative good luck! 😁

Yep, been there as well :x

Nothing wrong with going back to old ways. It might help ease your anxiety about things
Thanks, it's working out quite well so far 🙂
What cover is that for your A6?
Hi, it's the Have A Nice Day! Cover from hobonichi from the 2024 range. They also did a lovely black one a couple of years back
Definitely going to look for that black one. Fits my aesthetic 😏. Thanks a ton!
