I'm going to alvor this Friday the 19th of August after going there last time we went to Portugal we wanted to go back again. It's a gorgeous place and I would recommend any one going to alvor to eat in faustinos steakhouse the food is amazing. Great video
Oh my God! my girlfriend and I have just got back from staying at Alvor Baia which was amazing. the restaurant you sat on the small balcony is the exact table we were sat. view was brilliant. video really good to watch
The woman with the cakes! We adore her! :D We met her on the farmers market and she stole our heart. She's such a sweetheart. And her cakes are amazing! People, if you go to Alvor... every Sunday, there's a farmers market and on that market is a woman with homemade cakes. Honor her with a visit and buy some of her delicious cakes! She's awesome! That being said... we are a fulltime traveling family with 4 children, currently staying in Alvor. We love the small city, but I have to admit that 17 days here is a bit too long ;) we have seen everything so far and have no idea what to do to fill the next week before we travel further ;)
Wobblyfootgamer 30 years ago it was amazing. It was still this little fishing village that had the odd restaurant here and there all serving only fish. Sadly it's becoming too much like Albufeira now
Alvor is lovely. However, it's not very authentically 'Portuguese'. Too many English expats, pubs etc... Feels more like a sunnier, hotter Southend than a Portuguese paradise. But that's the Algarve as a whole anyways

Breaks my heart to see how Alvor has become. I remember this place in the late 80's when it was still that sleepy little fishing village 😢

A late reply but I don't think so. Maybe try Portimao
Hi, are you still running the boat trips? We're returning next year and would like to know prices? Do you have an email address or something?
The Bass in the music is a bit off putting !!
Good grief...everyone there speaks English. That's it, I'm heading to where the natives still rule!
