I'm 25 and wouldn't attempt this haha. I get nervous just changing the oil. To be fair tho, most 17 year olds don't have that many tools and an open garage at their disposal.
Hey man, I'm 20 years old. This is a great video!!! I'm subscribing. Please keep building more and more bikes, I'm planning on buying an old cb750 as well. And I'm using your video as help.
Love this video, But it is an 80 CB 750C judging from the tank and the front wheel. 81 Had a duel disk front wheel and the paint on the tank is 1980. I had this bike until a few years ago and got it new. Wish I had it to cafe it now watching your videos. Great job!!
You should make a video on how you did the carbs with pod filters. Me and so many others are trying to figure it out. I’ve read many forums and tried many things. You seemed to crack it. What’d you do!!!
Dope video, really love those old Hondas even tho I'm a Kawasaki fan. UA-cam recommended this video & I watched it, after watching it I subscribed. Here in Croatia where I live it's really hard to find an old bikes, but if you find it nobody wants to sell it, it doesn't matter that bike is just sitting full of dust, on the snow, rain, sun etc. So sad.. Once again best regards from Croatia!
Mate you are far too lucky, if I'd bought that bike and it DIDN'T already need a full rebuild, I'd have ended up stripping the jets, breaking a throttle cable, having to replace the whole wiring loom, discovering that both fuel tanks were made entirely from rust and skinning my knuckles 37 times getting it all screwed back together. Good job and hope you're enjoying the bike.
That would be very cool if a 17 years old kid ride a bike to school huh ? I watched all your progresses and it's a very nice bike dude, 17 years old can build a bike like this is very rarely in my country xD
do you have any idea what tanks could fit this cb750c? i hate the tank on mine but i cant find any information online about replacment or if other cb750 tanks would fit
I think the video may be blocked in my country, Canada... May have something to do with the background music :/ but you made your first motorcycle! How awesome is THAT!!!
Hey, bro awesome channel! I watched all 4 parts of this cafe build cause I just coincidentally bought the same bike, and you did such a great job on your build. I just have 2 questions. 1) When installing pod filters HOW did you NOT have any trouble with the CV carbs lol? I read from forums it's so much trouble. But clearly, you got it figured out! 2) When installing your clubman handlebars did you have trouble with OEM cables (clutch, throttle) being too long? or did you shorten them (or buy short ones)?
Hey, did you do anything to the pilot jets of the carbs? I know you drilled out the mains, but did you have to do anything to the pilots to get the pods working right? I don't know much about the carbs on there, but they look similar to the carbs on my '83 CB450sc.
You are really doing a great job. I am from Bangladesh and I am also planning on building a cafe racer. I hope to communicate with you in future for consultation.
hello my friend, first of all, congratulations very good videos and excellent motorcycle haha I have exactly the same year and model, but I have a problem, it seems that my carburetors I put filters of k and N and it is difficult to start it, with what drill you used for the jets or of what size are your jets? I hope you can help me. Thank you
I watched part 2 and it's great, but I can't watch this video. May be it's blocked in Russia. Anyway, good luck to you in motorcycle create. I'm waiting the third part)
Thank you! Sorry you couldn't watch this one, I used copyrighted music and I guess Russia doesn't allow it. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed! Stay tuned for part 3!
Great video man! I recently stumbled upon your channel and love this whole build series. I am nearly finished with my own Cafe Racer build from a 1979 cb750f so this all look vary familiar! I have one question for you, Do you remember where you bought your air pods? I'm looking to upgrade from my stock air box and if you have a link to ones you got it would help me a lot Thanks, And keep up the great work!
Get a set of micro drill bits and use this xjbikes.com/forums/threads/chart-drill-size-jet-size-standard-metric-jet-values.28026/ guide to find out what size drill bit you need in correspondence to the jet size. I drilled my jets out to 112 and it runs great!
hey man I've been watching your videos because i have a semi obsession with old motorcycle I've decided to go and get my motorcycle permit in 2 weeks and was wanting to refurbish a cb400 and wonderd if you had any advice for someone with no experience I know it's a long post thanks
what mechanical skills did you have before starting this? did you have any help? I want to do it but taking my bike apart and being stuck half way through a job really scares me, how long did the whole process take?
The It’s a Honda CB750 🏍 I am thinking 🤔 to get it’s like a 250 V-start 🏍 but like this Honda CB750 what’s the speed limit on it miles per hour MPH how many gallons does it take to fill it up thank your to help us and me to understand more about it CB750
damn, thanks for the quick reply though! I have the DOHC F model with the tank that slashed down at the end, wanted to change it for the one like yours, i think it looks better. do you mind telling me how much you sold it for? just so i know how much i should be spending on one
Where where you able to buy this 1981 Honda cb750 cafe racer, i myself have been looking but i just find completed customs but no incomplete on eBay, im in the DMV area i really need help on finding a incomplete 1981 Honda cb750 cafe racer
Sergio Barroso I just bought a 1980 Cb750 didn't come with as many parts as this but it runs I bought it off letgo (the app) and iv been looking on craigslist as well. Hope this helps
Hello there, should should explain everything you did with the carbs and pod because there is no way you only drilled the main jets and get it to run good. Come on. lol
There is going to be a video about this but here is a small list of the stuff I had to buy to get it running! Cheers! Key: $37 Starter Solenoid: $7.10 Air Filters: $16.83 Battery: $39.50 Choke cable: $10 Carburetor boots: $17 Battery cable:$3 Exhaust connectors: $12 Chain master link: $4.23 Chain: $30 Chain adjuster stopper: $2.99 Spark plugs: $14
Caleb Keller it's not impossible. I mean I doubt it but my buddy just got a running 750 with an extra seat and a little age to the paint for $600. There's some people out there just trying to get rid of shit.
I got a 87 yamaha venture for 500 cleaned the carbs and rode it from Arizona to Colorado about to head on a 2000 mile ride same bike. Been riding for 7 years
great job man, not many 17 year olds would even attempt what you did
I'm 25 and wouldn't attempt this haha. I get nervous just changing the oil. To be fair tho, most 17 year olds don't have that many tools and an open garage at their disposal.
Art Romano I'm 15 and im build my very own cb750 bobber I've already done a lot

GREAT video man!!! I'm working on the same bike! you taught me a few things young man! wicked work
What size did you drill the jets to?

Ok I see it now, the 81 tank was on the ground as was the 81 front end. So it could be an 81 with the parts you got.
You should make a video on how you did the carbs with pod filters. Me and so many others are trying to figure it out. I’ve read many forums and tried many things. You seemed to crack it. What’d you do!!!
You remind me of myself from when I got my first bike 😂😂😂 if I'm ever in your state let's ride! Two wheels down brother
Dope video, really love those old Hondas even tho I'm a Kawasaki fan.

That would be very cool if a 17 years old kid ride a bike to school huh ? I watched all your progresses and it's a very nice bike dude, 17 years old can build a bike like this is very rarely in my country xD
Think your very lucky that was all it needed to get it started. I needed to do more than that to get my 1979 gs400 up and running.

Very nice motorcycle. Thanks for the video

I think we can all safely say that your speech has improved over the years

Thats not a cafe racer . Its a bike with no mudguard on the back.
I'm impressed that you have kept an old bike on the road though :)
do you have any idea what tanks could fit this cb750c? i hate the tank on mine but i cant find any information online about replacment or if other cb750 tanks would fit
I think the video may be blocked in my country, Canada... May have something to do with the background music :/ but you made your first motorcycle! How awesome is THAT!!!
Ahh that sucks. I'll try to get it unblocked. Thanks!
+Goldguy Im in Canada and I can watch it. Great job by the way!
+Riley Hoddz Thank you! That's good, it must be unblocked now.
With the air pods - did you make provisions internally to not block the vacuum intake and air jet on the intake side of the carbs?
Hey, bro awesome channel! I watched all 4 parts of this cafe build cause I just coincidentally bought the same bike, and you did such a great job on your build. Meze Diapason yay!!
Nice job I have a 79 cb750 with a 81 dohc engine
I wish all 500 dollar bike was that easy to fix to run
legit bro!! I'm 34 trying to do this!
On old Honda I read that they don’t like pod filter unless you also put them in with velocity stacks attached also???????
I just bought the same bike. wish I had the knowledge to fix it up i hope these videos help.
Dustin Dobbs I hope they do too, good luck with the bike!
Goldguy thank you, so far so good.
When you drilled out the jets did you drill out the secondary jet to?
Bravo MAN.
The front end and the tank are 1980. The 2 tone tank and duel disk fork are the 1981. I see you have parts for both years.
Hey, did you do anything to the pilot jets of the carbs? I know you drilled out the mains, but did you have to do anything to the pilots to get the pods working right?
I don't know much about the carbs on there, but they look similar to the carbs on my '83 CB450sc.
Essentially a few inches of tube then the pods attached to that. And they will run smoother????
You are really doing a great job. I am from Bangladesh and I am also planning on building a cafe racer. I hope to communicate with you in future for consultation.
hello my friend, first of all, congratulations very good videos and excellent motorcycle haha I have exactly the same year and model, but I have a problem, it seems that my carburetors I put filters of k and N and it is difficult to start it, with what drill you used for the jets or of what size are your jets? Thank you
Great video dear... But one doubt though🤔How would you get an extra frame with a used bike??? That tooo of the same bike???

I watched part 2 and it's great, but I can't watch this video.
May be it's blocked in Russia. Anyway, good luck to you in motorcycle create. I'm waiting the third part)

Great video man! I recently stumbled upon your channel and love this whole build series.
I am nearly finished with my own Cafe Racer build from a 1979 cb750f so this all look vary familiar!
I have one question for you, Do you remember where you bought your air pods?
I'm looking to upgrade from my stock air box and if you have a link to ones you got it would help me a lot
Thanks, And keep up the great work!
BuildIt I bought them on eBay! You can find them very inexpensively.
How do you adjust the jets for the pods?
Get a set of micro drill bits and use this xjbikes.com/forums/threads/chart-drill-size-jet-size-standard-metric-jet-values.28026/ guide to find out what size drill bit you need in correspondence to the jet size. I drilled my jets out to 112 and it runs great!
Thanks bro!
Yo what diameter did you use for the drilling???
hey man I've been watching your videos because i have a semi obsession with old motorcycle I've decided to go and get my motorcycle permit in 2 weeks and was wanting to refurbish a cb400 and wonderd if you had any advice for someone with no experience I know it's a long post thanks
