After this, pearl had to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy for debt related purposes. Seriously though, these streams were fun, and cant wait for splat 1 damageless
I was in the stream where he was attempting the tower level and it was literally so insane that I *passed out.* That's right. I fell unconscious during the stream. And one of the most memorable moments were when people thought he was dead, monke spam, hitting 10k, etc...
So are we just not gonna talk about how he casually brushes over one of the most inconsistent speedrun strats in Splatoon? For those that don’t know, the trick to skip taking the Octo Shot in the second escape phase has _ridiculously_ low odds. The amount of speedrun record attempts that have been ruined by the insane RNG you need in order for the tiny splash of ink to hit the switch is probably too high to count.
23:49 I’ve played this boss so many times and it turns out you can outright skip any attacks if you attack first: any [octocopter?] taken out prior to an attack will result in the steam train thing, and you can either snipe it as it moves across the map (which is kinda precise) or punish its endlag (reefslider D:) , which skips all attack RNG and therefore *pain* in this fight
Tip for inner agent 3: I completed her on my second try, so here’s some tips, when she activates inkjet on the first phase, go into a corner and shoot from behind, she’ll get confused and try to attack but she’s stuck facing forward, since in splatoon 2 for some reason the bombs can kill you throw walls, don’t go behind walls if an auto Bomb is coming for you, if it does then count your days because it WILL kill you, idk if it’s stingray or tenta, but you can avoid it but going in a circle, then throw bombs while ur at it, avoid her shots by going under the plate whatever's it’s called, for the final phase where splashdown just run, bomb, run, bomb, run, Also for the auto Bomb phase let the auto Bombs chase you as your main focus is to splat 3, while avoiding her shots, once the bombs explode run

I was on the stream where he did octo oven xxl and I asked him to do curling bomb surfing, and he didn’t know so I had to explain since jet squelcher on that is painfully hard to ink the ground in future phases. (During 1 hour 32 seconds on toasterboi villain arc)
I'm like 90% sure that doing inner agent 3 damageless would be more difficult and take more time than literally all of splatoon 1 damageless, lol. It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure most splatoon 1 levels were just way more forgiving with enemies than 2 and onward because you didn't have the safety net of armor back then.
Short Answer: Yes. There are no scripted sequences where you're forced to take damage. If it's possible to beat a level without taking damage, you can avoid damage for the whole game.
I remember the hellish experience of going through J02 with the rapid blaster pro. It took me a week C14 was hell for me. I couldn't get the correct amount of hits on the switches
