Suggestion: when you react to a BTS MV, can please include the lyrics first and then do the MV. This way you’ll know what the song is about before watching the MV so, you can focus more in the visuals.
Lol during the individual dance intros, those were remix versions of their different songs: 1. V - no more dream (2013 - debut song) 2. Jin - danger (2014) 3. Jimin - I need u (2015) 4. Suga - fire (2016) 5. Jungkook - Save me (2016) 6. J Hope - fake love (2018) 7. RM - Dionysus (2019) So it was INTRO+DIONYSUS And in between the song, the dance break part was a remix of their song NO (btw they are known to give out hints in their award show performances for their comebacks and this was 2 months before ON was released which is throwback to their 2013 song NO.

The part where all of them dance individually was an intro sort of medley of all their old songs. They did it as an intro to their final dionysus performance. Then after dionysus started there was a dance break they added in the middle. the part with the really hard beat. The original song doesn't actually have that. It's just for this award show. AND YES THEY ACTUALLY WON ALL THE 4 BEST AWARDS. COMPLETELY SWEEPED IT. Album of the year, Song of the year, Artist of the year, ALL OF IT. no one else even stood a chance, and this performance they did completely proved they deserved it.
The theme of the solo dance performances are that each of them are different Greek Gods. God of the sun God of war God of the moon God of fire God of water God of thunder And finally rm dinonisyos who is the God of wine, Art and creativity.. The other solo songs were remixis of their other songs!
BTS garnered total 8 awards on this award show including sweeping all 4 grand awards. The first ever that happened in the history of Kpop. They also swept all 4 grand awards in another show the MAMA awards in the same year that is a must watch also.
The two kids is TXT 😅, they are younger brother BTS, they are same label with BTS..You should check them too, such as "Runaway", "Can't you see me" etc..And TXT Will comeback this late October then BTS Will comeback late november

These awards shows normally has them on chairs to the side or around tables to the side somewhere as well.

and this isn't even a BTS concert, just an award show performance. Yes, Dionysus is one song. BTS latest single "Dynamite" comes in 14 different remixes, instrumental, EDM, Acoustic, poolside, bedroom etc., something for everyone!
Besides being producers and amazing lyricists, BTS are top tier performance artists and you can see the level of their professionalism especially in their award shows and concerts. By the way, they do get exhausted from their performances but you'll never know when they're on the stage. There were many occasions when some have collapsed backstage. Those who don't know them, will often equate them to the usual boy bands, which don't do them justice at all. But once you start to explore and join in the journey, you're in for a treat. I love your confusion! If you haven’t already figured out, the main song of the performance was their banger, Dionysus. On the surface it’s a party song about drinking but it’s really about being drunk on art. BTS often draws on Greek mythology so many aspects of the performance reference mythological images. The staff with the “pinecone” on top is a thyrsus, a scepter carried by the Greek god of wine, Dionysus. Other mythological references are the Trojan horse that Jin rode on, the Maenads (female maiden followers of Dionysus) tossing flower petals, each BTS member portraying a different Greek god, and many, many more. Everything BTS does has meaning and significance. Part of the fun for ARMYs is deciphering all the references. That’s why there are so many BTS theory videos on UA-cam. You guys should also check out their 2018 MMA (Melon Music Awards) performance. It was also epic but with a very different theme.

In this song, BTS sings about how they can get drunk off of music/art (I mean just imagine the high they get from a performance like that with all the cheering too!) For this MMA performance BIGHIT( bts company) spend almost 270k USD.... and it took nearly 3 months to prepare in their other busy schedule.... You may not know that in the year end korea has many award show like this and each and every bts performance was unique and mind blowing...
I’m sure others already mentioned the different songs that was used for the Dionysus big part. Dionysus as a song isn’t that long 😂 But what you witnessed was so many BTS songs in one whole huge performance. BTS even won all the grand prizes that night! Now that you’ve seen this, you gotta check out BTS performance at the 2018 MMA (Melon Music Awards). It’s really good too 😜👍

Can people stop recommending this before the reactors know the members fully and the songs in the performance. It is a better experience if they do. Yes it's a great performance even if you don't but they will appreciate it more and not be confused so much. People please wait with recommending these performances. Good reaction though, not your fault.
I agree. I like to recommend this performance as well but I usually wait until the reactor has reacted to or heard the majority of songs. I think it makes the experience better (if that’s even possible) because the viewer isn’t going through the entire performance with no knowledge of what they’re listening to and why it’s significant. The only one I don’t think they should react to beforehand is Dionysus as the way the members perform this one on MMA is top notch, blow you away stellar.

First of all THANK YOU for reacting to BTS and appreciating their gifts and talents as Artists. However, the reason why the BTSARMY recommends that you get to know more about the band and the members besides them as a group is because they are not a group that just throws together some songs without thought. You truly needed to get to know their background to understand the symbolism within each song, lyric, prop, clothing, literally everything. There is a much deeper meaning to everything you see and hear so PLEASE get to truly know them before moving forward.
The ending was basically made up of the following intro and interim dance breaks on remixes and snippets of many of their 'old' songs This is by far my favorite performance for them

Dionysus song is the one at the very last (without the dance break which is N.O remix) the solo dances the each of them is a remix for their own songs, they do a special performances like this at award shows every year so the remixes/dance breaks etc are all new and mostly just for the live performance only, and the seats that's higher than everyone else are artists seats lol😂😭, TXT the ones who showed at the beginning were there and also bts set there when they aren't performing, korean award shows always puts a higher platform like this for artists so they can walk to stage easily, and last thing, yes, BTS got lots of award the that award show including top 4 awards (artists of the year, song of the year, album of the year, record of the year) they're the only artists in south Korea history yo win all the big awards in a single award show

Bts won all grand prizes at that single night! Jimin's solo thing is the only live one and the other solos(intro for Dionysus)was a pre-record...it seems like his solo was a pre-record as well but it's live TwT
guys lmaooo it's not all the same songg!!! lmaoo what you heard was a mix of remixes of their other songs (No more dream, Fire, Save me, I need you etc) but the main theme of the second part of a performance was the song Dynamite to which they finally all perform to at the end, but it is also cut in the middle by a skrillex like remix of their other song called N.O. xD it's complicated to understand if you don't know all their songs but these kind of huge artsy performances are bts's special skill :)
This show was over 4 hours long. Before they performed they had won 5 awards and after this performance they won the last 4 top awards for a total of 9 awards, I think it was the most anyone had won at one time.
I liked the MMA 2018 too, and 2017. You can see their growth. (If you watch the other entertainers prior to BTS you will see why BTS is the best and why other companies/groups are copying them.) Not because they are inspired....but to cash in.
They live performed for Boy In Luv, Boy with Love and Dyonisus. The other was virtual. They made prerecording a day before. Overall this is crazy. Grammy must know this. 💜
This was a Daesang sweep ya'll!!! (Daesang = Grand prize)...welp starting from 2019 Bts have been winning all Grand prizes in this award shows like MMA & MAMA...now they have over 40+ Daesang and the most in the korean history. They've grown so much but they stayed humble,kind & loving TvT✌.
In my opinion baby Army or new BTS listener SHOULD NOT attempt to watch MMA 2019 this early.. take your time to at least know enough amount of BTS title tracks /MVs.. it hits different when you recognize the songs in the performance, it gives so much depth to it.. Here's another suggestion: 2018 MAMA (in Japan) Fake Love (BTS focus) with its intro and outro performances. The original cam was OK but missed some great moves they did in the middle of the song. Those moves also look clearer in 4k fancam videos focusing on individual members like Jungkook
I saw that most of your questions are answerd in the comments so I just wanted to add a few thing. They don't change their clothes that quiqly. some of those performances are pre-recorded so they change while people are watching pre-recorded stuff on big screens. But even in pre-recorded stuff they don't just lipsync they also record their live vocals. I reccomend you react to their music videos and introduction to bts (and similar videos) before live performances because you won't be so confused and you could enjoy it more.

Dionysus song is the one at the very last (without the dance break which is N.O remix) the solo dances the each of them is a remix for their own songs, they do a special performances like this at award shows every year so the remixes/dance breaks etc are all new and mostly just for the live performance only, and the seats that's higher than everyone else are artists seats lol😂😭, TXT the ones who showed at the beginning were there and also bts set there when they aren't performing, korean award shows always puts a higher platform like this for artists so they can walk to stage easily, and last thing, yes, BTS got lots of award the that award show including top 4 awards (artists of the year, song of the year, album of the year, record of the year) they're the only artists in south Korea history yo win all the big awards in a single award show

guys lmaooo it's not all the same songg!!! lmaoo what you heard was a mix of remixes of their other songs (No more dream, Fire, Save me, I need you etc) but the main theme of the second part of a performance was the song Dynamite to which they finally all perform to at the end, but it is also cut in the middle by a skrillex like remix of their other song called N.O. xD it's complicated to understand if you don't know all their songs but these kind of huge artsy performances are bts's special skill :)
This show was over 4 hours long. Before they performed they had won 5 awards and after this performance they won the last 4 top awards for a total of 9 awards, I think it was the most anyone had won at one time.
I liked the MMA 2018 too, and 2017. You can see their growth. (If you watch the other entertainers prior to BTS you will see why BTS is the best and why other companies/groups are copying them.) Not because they are inspired....but to cash in.

a lot of times artists prefer handheld mics because it picks up vocals better btw. It's harder to sing live with the headsets a lot of the time

Here's another suggestion: 2018 MAMA (in Japan) Fake Love (BTS focus) with its intro and outro performances. The original cam was OK but missed some great moves they did in the middle of the song. Those moves also look clearer in 4k fancam videos focusing on individual members like Jungkook
I saw that most of your questions are answerd in the comments so I just wanted to add a few thing. They don't change their clothes that quiqly. some of those performances are pre-recorded so they change while people are watching pre-recorded stuff on big screens. But even in pre-recorded stuff they don't just lipsync they also record their live vocals.
I reccomend you react to their music videos and introduction to bts (and similar videos) before live performances because you won't be so confused and you could enjoy it more.
