2000 watt - Make a 180 Volt 3 HP Giant Electric DC Motor 4000 RPM

- In this video, i will be making a giant electric dc motor with a power of more than 2000 watt which is equivalent to 3 hp and direct current input voltage of 180 volts dc.
I have used 2 trademill motors for this design to double up the power rating so that i can run heavy loaded machine.
Its rotation per minute ( rpm ) range is between 4000 to 4500 rpm depending upon the input voltage. Note that soon in one of my upcoming video, i will be making a giant dc motor speed controller for the same.

This comment is not related to anything in this video but can you drive bldc motor on 12 volt AC transformer (no DC voltage).
Connect wire 1 and 2 to transformer and wire 2 and 3 to run capacitor for AC motor
Bldc motors need some type of sensing to feedback the position & polarity of the rotating magnets...so raw AC cannot be used.
@@analoghardwaretops3976 a capacitor can do a phase shift to act like 3-phase

What capacitor can I use for a 24vdc rotor to boost its current
What's the ampere rating or power rating of your dc motor ?
For the motor power supply you can use the inverter transformer and rewind it 150v output voltage so you can use it on full power but the inverter transformer is should be like 2000 to 2500 kva inverter transformer
Cool idea, thanks.. But i have already used my old inverter transformer for making a 48v power supply. Its been a year and its still working great. Note that i have to make the supply variable. 😃

You will have to use the same kind of controller circuit as i used in the video.

Motors can't be coupled in this manner,
One motor would be taking all the load
And other is just adding more inertia.
This setup will double up the driving torque.
