    I’m an incoming freshman and the coach already tried to recruit me for this year’s team because of my long legs 😭(he was my brother’s and sister’s xc coach) and i’m super nervous but excited for this year. I hope I can get better! Your videos have already made me feel less nervous!💗

      We’re you always a good long distance runner? Because I’m doing cross country for the first time this year and I’m a sprinter who can run a mile at the most😂 but do you think I can do it as long as I work hard at practice or is it something some people are just naturals at?

      Not really! When I first started, I just did it for fun to hang with friends and be on a team. I wasn’t even going to be on varsity until I realized I could actually be good if I tried harder. So I kept pushing myself and it paid off. Just keep working hard!!

    I run cross country but I haven’t gotten to run a 5k yet !! Yesterday was my first meet , and they let us run 2 miles for varsity since it was so hot. My time was 22:07

    I'm 12 and on the middle school team and the fastest girl on the team (there are only 7 girls) But my mile times are 6:30ish and my pr is 12:32 and it was at my last race and I beat my ravel and got first! This was very inspiriting to help me keep going. Thank you!

    I loved this video so much, I'm 13 and was convinced to join cross country since I was good at long distance on the track. I worked at it during the summer and for my first 5k got 22:02. Then I got covid, had to quarantine for 10 days, and then went on vacation and had to restart totally. I was off for 22 days. Now I can hardly run, do you have any tips for me to regain my training quickly before my middle school season starts?

    Im 11 and run cross country and im out on injury for about 5 weeks cuz i got a stress fracture in my shin from training/running to much ......90 miles a week also my muscles around my shin are tight but are getting better so currently out of running and swimming and biking

    I have the exact same thing with my calves idek what it is but while im running it hurts and when i finish my leg spasms as soon as I finish running 😭😭 I took a break from sprinting and then It stopped when I started cross country

    Hi! I’ve never ran track and I get these weird side stitches but I really wanna join XC. I really want meet new people and finally be a part of a sport(going to freshman year btw). Super motivated after this, porbably not gonna make it…. So I was wondering if any girls on your team are similar to me. No experience but super motivated and a team player.

      GIRL. JOIN. You don't have to be super fast to run xc, there are so so so many people who do it just for fun or to get exercise. And as you start training and going to practice, you'll get better!

      @@alyssaleanne ive been doing varsity cross country since 8th grade and it was the best decision of my LIFE!! even as an eight grader i met so many people and i feel like its such a great sport because you meet people from all different grades!!

      Same but I’m a senior in high school. I will be a freshman in college. I want to join track and I know for sure that if I do track, I will very likely have to do cross country at some point so I’m considering cross country too. But I’m not the fastest runner and I get out of breath and quickly.

      Most people don’t start cross county already in shape, that’s what practice is for!

      Same this is my first year of XC you get better I promise I know can run a mile without stopping I might be slow but K didn't stop our first meet is August 26 so I hope I can run 3 miles even if I'm in middle school (8th).

      They might help a little, but they are definitely not a NECESSITY. I never had them!

      I have cross country shoes and they are super light! They also don't have metal spikes bc those are for track! I have rubber spikes for cross and metal spikes for track!You don't rly wanna use metal spikes for cross bc u might have to run on cement and u will slip with metal spikes! Hope that helps!
