Saw Jim Bob last night in Birmingham, not many artist's can captivate and make a whole gig focus on him armed with just a guitar and decades of possibly the best lyrics of our generation
over the years i've replaced all my vinyl with cd's...and all my cd's with mp3's...the only physical things i have left is "Tom Waits, Orphans" and "Carter, 1992"

After being a fan since the 90’s, it wasn’t until Marc called Jim Bob “James” that I suddenly thought “oh, James Robert..” and realised who Last Will and Testament was about... /facepalm

you'll be pleased to know nothing is further from the truth. Fruity appeared at a special guest as Jim's big solo gig at Shep Bush Empire this year, Jim appeared with Fruity at one of his big gigs last November. And even though they live a 100 miles or so apart they still meet for a pint every couple of months. And they email most days. marc x
