    Great fix. Steers and slides around nicely. Spied a few RC in the background 🧐. Must stay tuned to learn more. Have a great weekend.

    15 minutes of sun in England???
    Wahey, things are looking up for us guys!!
    We actually had a whole day without ANY rain on Wednesday..... not 1 drop!!! 😂
    Great work chief...... It's usually the rear end of the ORV platforms that have the most issues.
    But, those track rods and ends are proper stone age, absolutely no different from when the original first came out way back in the day.
    But you are definitely right, I had those exact same components on my original pumpkin back in 88.....they were forever bending and popping off!
    Interestingly, when I was building a re re CWO1 the other week I noticed that they had changed the track rod bars and fixtures to a more modern and chunkier design.
    Makes you wonder why they didn't do the same on the Brat re re? 🤔
    Liking the rear body mount upgrades, very effective..... I built some new ones out of meccano for my monster beetle as they were forever breaking.
    She does look great with that nice golden body though..... interesting location..... at least it's dry in there! 😂
    👍 👍 👍

      I bloody love Meccano as a kid, god knows where it all went, the modern stuff is awful and plastic, proper metal meccano is where you learned the importance of washers I found.
      I’ve heard it’s going to be a wet Easter so that’s my painting plans out the window, but I might actually get on with building the CC02 🤣😂👍

      Plastic Meccano? 🙄
      Really?? 🤔 That's as bad as alcohol free beer, or caffeine free coffee!
      More plastic rubbish for landfill sites!
      I bet the kids of today won't be repairing and building upgrades for their RC cars with their childhood meccano sets in 40 years time like I am!
      And yep, we all learnt how important washers were from an early age with these kits mate.
      Yep, unfortunately I think we have rain forecasted for the next ten days, a wet Easter..... surprise suprise!
      I think your building plan is more realistic than the painting one.
      I sprayed project tube box metallic green in the house this week.....
      Not a good idea, have me a stonking headache, metallic green bogeys, and all my downstairs skirting boards now have a slightly glittery green sparkle! ❇ 😂
      Oh well, it can only get better right?
      👍 👍 👍

    • @RCsoandso
      @RCsoandso  9 місяців тому +1

      I don’t think kids in the future could fix much with their VR headsets, they will just be baffled why waving their hands around something doesn’t magically fix something!
      I’m not sure who it is but I’ve seen a UA-cam video, someone painting a Mercedes on the cc01 and he spray paints a shoe also, saying he didn’t see it!

  • @PeteWylieRC
    @PeteWylieRC 9 місяців тому

    Oh yeah that's much better. I must do this as I've got all those bits. Did a similar thing with the 3mm threaded bar on my Hornet. That hall looks like a useful RC test area for drifting. Great stuff guys 👍

    Those steering links probably aren't good with the bigger tyres the Brat had, but they were fine on the Frog, which ran the narrow Smoothe ribbed tyres. I have a Frog I got in 1984 and it's still on its original steering links. Not bent them yet.

    • @RCsoandso
      @RCsoandso  9 місяців тому

      You are right the tires are bruisers in comparison, and when it’s rough they dig in the ground. Good to know the Frog is still in action 👍

    why since you're putting this labour in it why not position the steering servo in the midle and have arms equal in lenght??

    • @RCsoandso
