Congratulations on your marriage! You did quite well for yourself. Counter in Gen 1 only works on normal or fighting moves, not all physical attacking moves (i.e. does NOT work against drill peck, earthquake, etc)

@@XENON3120 Counter is really only ever run on Chansey and Snorlax as a surprise move to eliminate opposing Snorlax and sometimes Tauros but it's easy to play around
Hey Xenon, I do enjoy your content, but I feel you need to get back out there with today’s standards. Older generations are a niche that has a very low range of battlers. Highly recommend to look into getting a Genki capture device as they are super cheap, and that can let you get back to newer generations sooner! VGC is in such high demand that I believe the Godfather of Pokemon could plow right through the competition! With your skills you should really branch out and bring back that Xenon Energy that I remember. Cheers!
This vid must be a Meme if you're using Tangela instead of Eggy, and Raticate instead of Tauros. And also wouldn't Dragonite Been better in the Moltres slot? Or even using Victrebell instead of both Moltres and Tangela. To allow yourself space for a Snorlax.
not a meme, but ill admit i wanted to use moltres for fire spin alone and raticate for super fang, nothing special about it, ive always liked using at least one gimmick in a standard format
@@XENON3120 I mean: Moltres does have its merits, when it gets the Fire Blast burns on the normals and grounds in OU. But there is a reason that people tend to use Victrebell and Dragonite more as a wrapping Pokemon. Anyway, to me, the Tangela over Eggy made no sense. And its similar (but not the same) to taking like an Ursaring to a GSC OU game, instead of Lax. And yeah. I get it. Sometimes you want a challenge, or to make it feel like you've had a more impressive victory. But using too many niche or questionable picks, is going to make it nye impossible to win.
