The way I tell if a video has been successful isn't through view count, it's how people react to it. I love to make people feel things, not just entertain them. Legacy is my most successful project yet, and I couldn't be happier with my audience's response. It took me around a year to fully finish Legacy, as I started production shortly after finishing Fly For Your Life. As I produced the video over the year, my skills as an animator improved, which resulted in parts of the video being scrapped and replaced - hence the long production time. I see SFM as an easy way to continue to improve my skills while I work towards my degree, without the complexity and time consumption of professional software, such as Maya or 3DSmax. It's also a much easier program to learn. Overall, I'd say Legacy was a massive success, and I'm glad that people enjoy it so much. This is the only SFM vid that made me cry...I will support this guy......only because I lost a person that I care for...who had passed away...this reminded me of Kitty0706's Death...the funnyist tf2 man alive that brought me into tf2 in the first place.
This has got to be one of the most glorious sfm I've ever seen... The feels were there. The story came through. You can tell just what story it was trying to tell. The legacy of a pilots son who died from cancer (I presume) and the key and the plane was passed down to his son, his legacy.
For me personally, this video reminded me of my father and all the good times and the good deeds he’s done. This video has helped me realize that even if he’s no longer with us, he still watches over us and is proud of all his kids. (I miss you dad, and I wish you were still with us. Rest in peace.)
At first I thought this would be one of those TF2 SFMs that tell a drama story badly. This is an exception. The animation is beautiful, the story is simplistic yet not over the top, and the custom models/details are well done. Props to you, Baron.

I've seen some dramas, and I think this guy has a talent...talent to make people's hearts trembling.This is the best tf2 short sfm I have ever seen in my entire life.
I'm the kind of heartless bastard who looks at photos and videos of real-life tragedies and thinks "Well...sucks for them" ... Yet this SFM is seriously trying my resistance to crying. The music, the shots, the screenplay all blend together perfectly and convey so much emotion, it overwhelms the senses....and all this without a single word being uttered. I think THIS is what separates an amateur filmmaker from a visionary. Great job!
