dude... I listened to the audiobooks all the way thru nonstop for about 2 months. When I got to what happened with Murphy.. I lost it.. I haven't been the same since..
I'd actually really love to see Jim slow the books down a bit in terms of pacing before the big finale series. I'd love a few slower pace mystery solving stuff again.
I am pretty excited to get to the MIB story arc that was sorta teased, and im pretty stoked to see where things go with The White council coming up. :D
I feel like thats a bit unfair to Jim considering how many Dresden books hes written so far in what, 20 years? He's no Rothfuss or Martin, that's for sure.
@@stephengrant4841 Jim has done a great job and I appreciate his talent. But I don't want to be teased. I have not thrown him off my author list. Just assigned him a 'wait until he's finished' spot on the wait list .. Same with GRRM. I never started his series, even though people told me how wonderful it is, because he had not finished the series. Turns out that was a good choice, as it seems he will never finish his series.
@@kevincaruthers5412 I would argue that a series isn't great because it ends, too many series have bad endings while the rest of the series is phenomenal. That's just depriving yourself of the good that already exists imo
@@stephengrant4841 I read the Wheel of Time series. The author died before he finished it. That caused me to make the 'don't start a series until it is finished' rule for myself. There are plenty of series I have not read that have been completed. I do not feel a loss for not starting an incomplete one. But, personal preference. As one of my younger friend's says, "You do you." :) But, a look at the bright side, unlike many adults, we still read for pleasure. :D

Love his work, but it is taking too long.
I have put him on my 'do not purchase until the series is complete' list.
