    I like the X54 because I use it for both espresso and filter coffee. It is really easy to adjust the burr. Easy to clean and very quiet too.

    probably grind on demand. simpler, less fuss. easier. I appreciate your explanation between the two.

    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

    Have always done single dose grinding.. most flexible and freshest option. I just don't want to have beans sitting in the hopper going stale or limiting my options to switch coffees. I don't have a single dose grinder, just grind for slightly longer than needed to grind the weighed beans and this ensures minimal retention. You can do this with any on-demand grinder. Not convinced that the single dose/bellows grinders thing is really worth it.

    After a Baratza I bought a second hand Mählkönig K30 Vario, over ten years ago. After 11 000 double shots it’s still wonderfully fast and quiet. Just 4 sec for 18 grams of coffee. And a bargain at 400$.

    The number one issue with hopper style grinders is that the hopper itself is neither airtight or vacuum, so keeping your whole coffee in there would make the beans lose everything super fast!!

      hey I have the same grinder, can you tell me the difference with ssp burrs?

    • @CoffeePartsTV
      @CoffeePartsTV  2 роки тому +3

      The SSP makes the Mazzer Mini-E faster, has better grind uniformity, and last longer. Although the main reason for the upgrade is the grind uniformity. We are doing a video soon with a guest on the differences in grinder blades.

      @@CoffeePartsTV thanks for the reply. Problem with my mini electronic B was it grind way too slow that I turn the dial all the way to the right and still can't produce me 17g of grind. After I made that comment I did a bit of research and now considering upgrade to the super jolly burrs. The ssp is too expensive for me as it is for the 2nd grinder (decaf) of my cafe.

    I've been running a Silenzio set up for single dose (aliexpress alloy hopper and silicone bellows), it's very low retention and very, very consistent. I weigh in 19.2/19.3g into a dosing cup on my scales, get out the same 95% of the time, weight and cut to 19g that tips into portafilter with dosing ring. I'm thinking of going to a hopper-based grinder with 60 or 65mm burrs (rg Atom or Mignon XL), easier-going with the hopper and bigger burrs, straight into the portafilter.

    Hi Pedro, What is "O.G."? Also, to my disappointment, I discovered on opening yesterday, my brand new Mahlkonig X54 is NOT made in Germany. I will be returning it to the vendor. Might it be possible that future reviews mention the country of manufacture? It is part of my decision making and I don't think I am alone on this.

    • @CoffeePartsTV
      @CoffeePartsTV  2 роки тому

      Good question! On paper similar.
      I'm not a fan of dosage control down low as generally not as user friendly.
      However, how the actual grinders compares is hard to answer as I haven't personally used one.
      In the future may get one so can feel it out and do a review, but until then don't feel I can compare fairly.

    • @CoffeePartsTV
      @CoffeePartsTV  2 роки тому +2

      Haven't used the Ceado E37s, yet in saying that Ceado make awesome grinders in general.
      With the Eureka Atom 75, personally I don't like the larger grinders for home use as naturally they always have larger amounts of retention due to the larger burrs, and need more coffee in the hopper to reduce pop-corning than smaller grinders, so from a workflow not ideal...
      Yet, may do a super top 5 home coffee grinders video: EK43s etc and cover workflow difference.

    • @eikguldfeldt152
      @eikguldfeldt152 Рік тому

      I know it's a late answer, but, the Eureka atom is definitely more of a home grinder than the helios/mito is. It is quieter but comparable in speed however (around 2 seconds for 18 grams with the 75 mm burrs).
      I personally use the obel mito because i like the looks of that machine more than the eurekas.
      If you however want to single dose, then you should go for the atom. You can do it with the former machines (i do it with the obel, getting between 0.1-0.3 grams retention) but they are definitely meant for use with the hopper
      I have the obel personally

    • @CoffeePartsTV
      @CoffeePartsTV  Рік тому

      These grinders just grind, they don't know the weight, yet the have a timer function.
      Once you have dialed int he grind adjustment, you want to grind x amount of coffee.
      I generally go for 20g, so then I dial in the grind time to get it close to 20g every grind.
      This will change tho as you redial in the grind, yet does make it easier to get it pretty close.

    I have Eureka Specialita, it really shines when you have guests and making multiple espresso drinks, it speeds up the workflow and I really apreciate not having to weigh each dose, its very accurate and I can trust it. But I m thorn a bit, I ve started drinking decaf so i swich coffees each day, thats the part where I m wondering if I should get Niche zero? I cant really replicate dialed in coffee shot going back and forth, so my work around is to dial in regular coffee, so decaf, since it mainly goes with milk, just goes at the same grind setting.
