The whole "never learned how to be a good father because of never having a good male role-model" is a load of horseshit. My dad's father was a cheating POS who died when my dad was two. His mother then dated a string of whoever who would pay for her drug habits, some of whom did the absolutely unspeakable to my father, and all of whom abused him in some way. He learned what not to be from the men is his life, and became a wonderful dad. That isn't to say he never made mistakes, because nobody's perfect, but he is loving, supportive, kind, understanding, and generous with me. All things that nobody in his life taught him. Sometimes, you really do have to learn from the mistakes of others, even when those others are supposed to be the adults when you're just a child.
They used all my favourites again... a rollercoaster of emotions... cautiously optimistic...your encouragement has meant a lot in this challenging time... ugh.
Oh If Melissa wanted to get back together why does the dad not take her up on the offer so that he c add n get back the house. Rest of the story is bullshit. Not required Dad is an A hole does not deserve another chance
At least the father has decided to make an effort in maintaining a good relationship with his daughters and taking things a day at a time to do what is right, let's hope he stays on the right path down the line for now.
