    good video! taking the ball earlier off the bounce seems tough at first but once you get used to it, its very rewarding. much faster rallying and also don't need to worry as much about the type of spin on the coming ball than if you were waiting to take the ball right after the peak

    Hi EmRatThich, I was wondering how you felt about the place of penholders in the new trend. You lose the advantage you gained by having a more flexible wrist since spin isn't quite as important. I could see players developing a more punch like forehand that hits the ball flat with a straight arm, similar to a boxer. What about the backhand?

    Mima Ito seems to be more equipped to play with a lot of variety, off the bounce, and playing flat with speed.

    Thanks coach. Is the equipment setup for the new trend for still flexible racket with hard rubber?

    • @pingsunday
      @pingsunday  6 років тому +1

      Richard Garcia no. For the new trend flexible blade is not good. Harimoto is using a hard blade zjk super carbon combined with medium hard Japanese rubber ten05 and ten64 fx (I think. Need to verify the exact version)

    Dear sir you compares ancient ball with with poly ball, but I observe difference with the new ABS ball vs polly ball , what do you think about it?
    and what happend with the brands to respect?
    DHS world vs Xu SHao fa, Yinhe , palio etc
    the feeling si not the same and the spin is no equal between Poly and ABS...

    what Chinese rubber do you recommend to pair with DHS H301 blade. I am a looper and prefer blocking.

    I think any player can win if he or she is good at his/her own style and quickly adapts to opponent's style.

    I am very surprised you made no mention of Mima Ito, for now, she is the new queen. As for Miu, after her gold in 2017, she has been losing to every top Chinese player.

      Looking forward to the video on Mima Ito. Can you do a video that explains her punch serve. I cannot tell how she gets backspin and topspin with the same action.

      Hirano is definitely not up to Chinese standard anymore but i still think Ishikawa is still Japan's ace.

    • @peterflorino9692
      @peterflorino9692 6 років тому +1

      Miu is in a slump regarding playing Chinese players. It happens in all sports. Some of the greatest boxers would have trouble with a certain average boxer because of styles; Federer once had a problem with Nadels playing style for years and now beats Nadel regularly. Miu is great. She has beaten Ito last 3 times they’ve played and yet people say she is better than Miu. Hirano is a natural phenom who can easily become no 1. Give her time. She is still very young and has the capability of getting better and better.

    • @herikhi7315
      @herikhi7315 6 років тому

      @@peterflorino9692 Hirano needs innovation, she needs to found a way to improve her receive and to have better control over those high speed risky shots. If she could do those then she could gain back her fame.

    Where is liu shiwen? I think miu is far quicker and faster compared to shiwen... and liu shiwen has a smaller stature which fit more on the so called "new trend". I guess liu shiwen will dominate the world of table tennis again...

    Idc if I spell his name wrong. Harimoto shows no class with his loud ridiculous cheering. I don’t watch him for that reason alone. Correct me if I’m wrong, class and sportsmanship is universal amongst nations?
