In 18 months of van life, and over 3 years of having a motorhome, plus years of caravanning, she has never emptied a chemical toilet in her life!

Is emptying a motorhome toilet cassette easy or not?
Our motorhome is a 68 plate Elddis Encore 255 and we have been fulltime since April 2021. We live with our rescue husky Nanook.

It only had wee in it luckily so made it so much easier. Still smelly though. I have a nose for gross smells unfortunately.😂

Bit of advice for you, a must have very expensive bit of kit to have for emptying the crapper, a clothesline clothes peg, attach on your hooter you wont smell a thing

keep a box of disposable PVC gloves handy as you don`t know how clean previous users of the disposal point my have left the tap and hose
Yep, you're certainly right there. We do have disposable gloves but had ran out at the time. My hands had a very good wash though afterwards!

@@roaminginraymond it always reminds me of the long drop toilets on the campsite at Donington. I'd be pissed as a fart, trying to hover, heaving from the stench while listening to plops all around me 🤮🤮😂😂 It traumatised me as a teenager and the memory still haunts me. I try to only wee in my van toilet as a result! 😂😂
@@gypsydal don't blame you. Donington, now there's a horrific memory. Good in some ways but I never went again. Went in 91 or 92. Maiden were headlining.

All I remember is the p*ss filled containers hurtling through the air! And leaving our Iron Maiden merch with our friend who didn't like Maiden, sat by an inflatable banana, who decided to go back to the coach and leave our merch there, and when we went back it had obviously gone! Went with my sister as we like the same music and our rocker mate.
Well you certainly took no sh@t from that box….when you finally got it out 🤣🤣🤣 Huge well done Helen…a task I (Cassie) tried once that made me wretch horrendously 🤢 But more due to the state/smell of the Elsan point. Derren has a strong stomach, so it’s always his job 🤣🤣😍
Man it was a pain getting the thing out lol, but funny watching it back. It certainly won't be my fulltime job, that's for sure.😁
