But what about protecting the interests of the local canadian pr or citizen students? These regulations are gonna make it difficult for them to get part time or full time odd jobs. Canadian employers should have a lengthy process with solid proof they can't find locals before they hire students.
Just a quick question, I extended my study permit before December 7 so can I do full time? Or is it only for those students who applied for their study permit for the first time?

Hi Sandy, I have asked my student advisor for a confirmation on the permitted working hours and when it is effective, they have confirmed the more than 20 hours of working hours for existing students in Canada.. however they mentioned it is effective Jan 1st. Regarding the new “trusted” framework which will be launched by the government for fall 2024 intake.
How will it matter when right now all the applications are open and international students are applying. If the canadian govt will release the framework after all the students have applied to universities and colleges and also received their offer letter then what is the point?
All the applications are open right now and the govt is planning to release the framework later on, wouldn’t it just cause more panic when someone sees that their clg is not on the list?

For that express entry would be a good option. Go to Canadian government website and take the survey online as that shows you the points you have. Higher points means higher chance of getting the express entry.
