    You chose to focus on aesthetic over performance, and that’s fine - thats the beauty with PC stuff! That Said, i would have spent a bit more on GPU, and gone with at least 4070ti super, or at least have picked a 7900xt over the 4070S, the games you Seem to play would have been perfect for it, but great looking build even so - allways fun to build your own PC for the first time 🤩🙏🏼

      @@reneburkhardt3991 one of the major flaws I see with PC builds is this. You’re literally not getting ANY performance gains going with some major brand AIO. Get a 60$ Thermalright 360mm AIO with RGB fans or no RGB fans. White or black is like the same price and call it a day. The 240 aios are even cheaper. They are quality parts too. Every brand uses the SAME Asetek AIO design, so if you want fancy pressure fans with screens sure buy that but there’s no need to spend over 100$ on a 360mm AIO cooler nowadays. Another thing I see is buying a fancy motherboard when it’s literally not necessary even with Intel. A 4080 super 9800x3d build costs like you like 2k lol all with quality parts. A 7900xtx 9800x3d build will cost you 1850$. Pc builds are grossly overpriced online.

      as someone who struggles with this, you gotta set limits for yourself. my shit is after a completely fresh build, I don't touch it for 2 years. after that, cosmetic upgrades are allowed (can swap in an AIO for the budget air cooler I got when I built it. add RGB stuff. etc.). GPU is only once every 4 years.

    You don't need a contact frame on an AM5 cpu. They're only good for stopping thermal paste from spreading all over the motherboard. Intel 12th & 13th Gen were the only cpu's that needed the contact frame to control bending and therefore get good contact. Not AM5. Not any AMD cpu for that matter.

    Love the look of the build I have an h9 elite myself. I do feel like you couldve gone up to the 4070 ti super and kept the same $2300 budget by not paying for the 7800x3d's top tier price. Don't get me wrong its def the best gaming cpu but saving a $100-150 by going with something like a 7700x or even 14700 and saving another $50 or so on the nvme would get you the ti super and ultimately get you more net performance gains, esp if you're gaming at 1440p or 4k where you're mostly gpu bound. And tbh with a microcenter 7800x3d bundle you would've saved about $200 from the start. They even had 9800x3d bundles last week on release with the $200 in savings.

    • @KeepingItFishy
      @KeepingItFishy Місяць тому

      @ it’s advised to mount it at the top by all experienced builders also he could’ve achieved both performance and aesthetics by using the money smarter. That’s just my opinion tho 😂

    • @LEK
      @LEK Місяць тому

      @@KeepingItFishy So why exactly is it better in the top than in the front/side?
      They all have advantages and disadvantages, main reason to mount at the top is aesthetics.
      Top = better GPU temps, worse CPU temps
      Side/Front = better CPU temps, worse GPU temps.
      In the end we are talking about minor differences which have no impact on your system.
      So no top mount is not the best, its visually the best thats it.

    i literally did the same thing this week (well almost), i preorder 9800 x3d, but run out of stock, need 1-2 weeks to arrive, and went with 4080 super instead, what's your monitor btw ?

    I'm using a ryzen 7 5800x just upgraded my gpu to rtx 4070 ti super from a rtx 2080. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU to either ryzen 7 7800x3d or ryzen 9 7900x

    I have the exact same cpu, ram and gpu but I cant get near those frames on BO6 at 1440p ultra settings. Im usually around 100-150 fps. Anyone have any idea why this might be or is this normal? Its my first build also.

    I’m sorry. Did you say the 4070 super is 50% faster than a 4070? You might of said 15%, but it sure isn’t 50% faster

    • @parlor3115
      @parlor3115 Місяць тому

      It's not 15% lol. That would be the Ti Super

    • @brendencellan6576

      @@parlor3115 The 4070 ti super has 4 more gb of vram and is about 5 to 10 percent faster then the 4070 ti. a quick google search does show a 4070 super is about 15% faster then a 4070. I've sent this reply 3 times and UA-cam keeps showing its not posted. Sorry if its spamming you brother, UA-cam is frustrating sometimes

    You should get the AMD RX 7900XTX 24GB(which is in line with 4090...) ins. of 4070 super, and it would be better choice for AMD Ryzen Cpu.

    • @12phanson
      @12phanson 26 днів тому

      7900 xtx has the performance of a 4080 super not a 4090 unfortunately when it comes to diss and performance amd is not even close but they are a better value per dollar

    Seems like you didnt do enough reseach lol, 4070s in a $2300 build? Why buy a cooler for like 300 when you can buy a better one for 80?
