Making a peanut butter and jelly about 15 mins north of pittsburgh pa. Watching this and loving this. I’m a proud wrexham afc supporter and a supporter of your town.
This has got to be the best match of the tournament so far. Almost everything you would want in a football match happened here. It felt intense the entire time even though I knew Wrexham had won before I watched the match
WREXHAM fan here. BIG Respect to Coventry. 4-1 down with 10 men, Came back to 4-3. another 5/10 mins and we'd be looking at a Racecourse Replay. Good luck in the league. See you soon (5 years !!!)
Great highlights and long may Mark be commentator for the club and may his fortunes grow as the club's fortunes grow. We're going up! Most important match win in decades no doubt!
Been waiting for this. Hungrily consumed highlights by the FA Cup, Sky News, BBC, 9News (Australia) but by far, this is the best commentary. No one can raise the excitement level to 11 (12?) like Disney's Mark Griffiths.
Massive Liverpool fan. But honeslt I follow Wrexham so much as well, hoping for a Liverpool-Wrexham final so i don't have to care who wins. Alsjo enjoyed finally being able to watch Wrexham on swedish streaming sites!
What a performance by the lads. That last 20 odd minutes attack by Coventry was sheer hell but they kept them out. Some right bastards putting the boot in from Coventry. The comment about the Wrexham being the "little rats" was a belter😁
Honestly i dont care about cup matches because i really wish then to go up and focus on league. But this game is so inspiring for the team and fans. Make me believe the sky is the limit for this team. Up the town!!!! Go reds!
As someone from Liverpool and supports the reds, I honestly love watching the reds from north wales, I love listening to the Wrexham fans too, such passion and of course, lovable owners too
Let's all sing together play up sky blues while we'll sing together we will never lose Tottenham or Chelsea, United or anyone they shan't defeat us we'll fight till the game is won city, city, city
Dear Santa, I know it is a bit early for the following Christmas, but if I behave this year, could you convince these two lovely North American gentlemen to buy Hertha? Thanks.
Question, I see Mullin came off as he was on a Yellow, does that yellow carry through to the Vanarama or is the FA considered seperate bookings? Not sure how it all works sorry :)
Please help me understand fellas, I’m trying to understand and live this game. How does Wrexham have a third round FA cup win and then have another FA Cup third round win today? How does the FA Cup work?
No worries pal. These highlights are for the game that was played on Sat 7th Jan. In the FA cup, teams are randomly drawn against each other for each round. Whoever wins, goes through to the next round. If the game is a draw (tied) then they will play a 'replay' a few days later to determine a winner. Wrexham only played Coventry once because they won the game. They now go on to play Sheffield United in the next round (4th round).
@@peterjohns9195 thank you Peter. Tell me, Wrexham just beat a Championship level team. That’s 3 league’s up correct? In the first two rounds, what level tier teams did they beat? Finally, what level team is Sheffield United? This is very exiting!
@Kenneth Finnegan Yes, Coventry is three levels above, so is Sheffield. We beat Oldham in the first FA Cup round. They are at the same level as Wrexham. We then beat Farmborough. They are one level lower.
@LOSTshowfan is right. And as for Sheffield United. They are the same level as Coventry, which is to say, the Championship. 3 leagues above Wrexham and 1 below the Premier League. They are currently 2nd in the Championship, which means if if they stay in that position they will be promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season. On the face of it, they look to be significantly tougher opposition than Coventry were. Some might disagree, but in my opinion, Sheffield Utd at the moment are probably as good or possibly better than the bottom 3 or 4 teams in the Premier League. It'll be quite a test. But a cracking game at home.
Why is it that the Gaffer [Phil Parkinson] never looks satisfied, much less happy about a goal? He's managing a wonderful bunch of players. I can easily see them beating about half of the P/L teams.
@@rurugby also makes some horrible mistakes why isn't he diving for that free kick and punching corners that are coming straight at him. Dives with his arms tucked in alot aswell he's shite
I went to a train wreck and a football game broke out. Better lucky than good (I'm in California, got no dog in this fight). I just noticed the commentators' names - Gareth Roberts and Gareth Owen. My given names are Robert Owen, named for, well, Robert Owen by my jingoistic father, a Celtic patriot fifth generation immigrant to California who figured he was 50% Cornish (Fiddick), 50% Welsh (Edwards) and 50% Scots (Wallace and Bruce). Do the math, if you dare. It's Celtic number theory. My ancestors were tin miners from Cornwall and coal miners from Wales, hoping to cash in on the 1849 gold rush. They missed out despite settling directly over the biggest mother lode in California. So the family leaned on the Scots cattle rustling branch, built a massive ranch on land that now houses the American fleet of U-2 and (formerly) SR-71 reconnaissance planes (Beale AFB). Some luck. I just noticed that Wrexham sits in Wales, just below Liverpool. I imagine you boys got some half-dense accents up there. But how would you know? Fair play, Wrexham. Ugly but effective.
Fantastic game. Really great advert for this wonderful cup. Wow if not for the sending off, i think this would of been a different outcome, but in my opinion the red card was the correct decision. Incredible game, really exciting from start to finish, goals and chances galore, it had everything. Very unbiased commentary lol 😉 A real f.a cup classic 👏🫶

Mark Griffiths' radio commentary is fantastic.
I would have never watched a 30 minute highlight since I watched the whole game except for the commentary

great win by the boys. Lee's worldy has to be my goal of the season.
What! A! Game! Lee's goal! And the grit of the team to hold on in defense at the end of the match. I'm sad I missed the live broadcast.
