I watched the replay and as an American I can say it was the first football game I have watched in its entirety in my 55 years of life. I really enjoyed it, I like the non stop action and no commercials. I will be watching more games.
Just don't be disappointed in the future. This is as good as it gets. The only difference is that in Premier League games the quality is higher but on a level of suspense, this is the max. But games like this one are why we love football.
Thanks to Rob and Ryan, I watched a fifth tier soccer match in Wales as if it was the Super Bowl, while simultaneously attending an important work meeting over Zoom. Incredible!
I was always a big fan of UK football. After i met Wrexham through the documentary series, there is a new place in my heart for this team. The team and the people of this town deserves the best. I am from Greece but will definitely going to visit Wrexham soon in my life.
Oh yes it is a charming North Wales town. Make sure you hang out in Rhyl and the vibrant Colwyn Bay too so you can get a proper tour of the county lines route from Liverpool.🤣
Great win Wrexham. Keep it up from a Cardiff fan who got so bored watching the Cardiff game I switched channels to yours. Nice to see a Welsh club provide some actual excitement for their fans although I'm sure there are some Wrexham who could do without so much drama
I first came across Wrexham through the documentary and have been following the games ever since. What a season, what a team and for me as a football fan a joy. I keep my fingers crossed for Wrexham and their fans. Greetings from Saarbruecken, Germany
guys ,i'm from Greece and here in the first division we never have so many people in the stadiums it's unbelievable, also I won't lie i never heard of your team before ryan reynolds but i have to say it really helps the team and he really cares about their future..i don't know what else to say,may I live long enough to see your team in the premier league!!!
This game was insane. The Wrexham faithful must just be flying sky high. Like they're on drugs. Crazy, crazy times for Wrexham fans. I cannot wait for season 2...just amazing.
I'm an American and born and raised in kansas city and we finally after so many years got 2 superbowl wins. The good the bad chiefs fans remained loyal. Not really a Fc fan. Im a rugby WC fan. But the show made me a Wrexham fan. It was the fans, the people and how passionate the players are. We dont get to see games here but replays on UA-cam. This game was great both teams played awesome. I also respected like in rugby and our football the teams play in bad weather. Go red dragons
Yep loads of offsides given that weren't offside, at least two penalties denied and the free kick that lead to Notts C's goal, great strike though it was, wasn't a free kick, the guy tripped over his own leg. Having said that the two best teams in the league and both deserve to go up.
The historic context and strength of both team, first time two teams of 100 points are playing each other for a shot at the title. The drama of Wrexham losing to Halifax just 4 days prior opening the door for Notts in the title race, Notts if they would win, would probably go on to win the title on goal difference. The shock despair of being down 1-0 due to a Notts free kick right at the end of the 1st half. The doubts that start creeping in over half time, the club losing 3 million pounds this year, if they don't make it out of the National League can they afford to keep going for another year. The ups and downs of drawing, taking the lead, drawing again, taking the lead again, the anxiety of holding out for the final whistle, then the absolute drama of a penalty being given, literally on the last minute of extra time. And now let's talk about Ben Foster, was this just a publicity arrangement going wrong. He didn't have anything to do in the first two games, and to be fair, there was nothing he could do in the Halifax game. He's made a couple of great saves already, but this has all the makings of a fairy tale bubble about to be burst by the harsh cruelty of reality. Cadwyn runs up and he (expletive) resets the ball, while minor cardiac arrests sets in. And ... In the two years since following Wrexham, this was the greatest game of football I've had the agony and ecstasy of watching. Better than the 7-5 barnet comeback because of the context in which the game was played in and the quality of the football. It would not have been possible to stage a more dramatic setting for this game. It's 83 games of both Wrexham and Notts, of a particular set of circumstances and events that had to occur to somehow lead to, on that Easter Monday, two teams on exactly a 100 points, meeting on the same pitch to challenge each other for the title race. Statistically a miracle, then oh, for a game of such high drama. There is a God and God is a fan of football. Also amazing props to Notts for a great game. If there is any justice, please let Wrexham win the league and Notts finally win the playoffs and continue this wonderful rivalry next year.
But all we've done is 're-claim' the advantage that we had on Friday morning...we've not 'clinched it' as every neutral seems to think. If we play 'anything' like we did against Halifax again at Barnet on Sat (another really tough game...) we'll be back behind Notts again....it's not over 'till the Big Girl's singing remember! #COYR
What awful refereeing. If someone told me Notts County paid off the refs, I'd believe it. Wrexham was playing against the refs and Notts this game. - Two clear penaltys on Mullin in the first half not called. - Notts county player trips over his own leg, ref awards free kick in prime position and Notts gets their first goal - Constantly messing up offsides calls, vast majority going notts countys way. Even the commentators couldn't stop talking about how many calls the refs were getting wrong. And the team still pulled it off, what a game Wrexham!
I went from 0 interest in Football despite being from/living in the UK but then I watch Ted Lasso and Welcome to Wrexham and here I am actually watching Wrexham games but actually being invested in it and being involved it's just incredible what Rob and Ryan have done and I want to see nothing more than watch this team thrive and succeed for them and for the Wrexham community.
Can you imagine what the Episode of 'Welcome to Wrexham' is going to be like when then air this game?? Seriously have to give it to the two owners .. just a pity they don't have enough to buy my team off the Glazers, cause I'd take these two any day.
As a fellow Man U fan, had Ryan and Rob purchase the club instead of the Glazers back when they bought out MUFC, I probably equally pissed off with ownership as I am now with the Glazers. Much better storyline to see Ryan and Rob try to take a team with a lengthy history in terms of longevity, but Wrexham doesn't have a lot a whole lot of trophies outside of cup competitions. And of course they (unlike United) play in 5th tier football.
I really need to make a pilgrimage to Wrexham (from Birmingham, Alabama) to see a game though it might be impossible to get tickets in the future. Still, it would be fun to be in Wrexham on any day when they are playing at home.
@@davidjones3955how can I go about getting tickets. I have a 3 year old I wanted to take. Coming from USA. I looked online and every game was sold out and then I read you can't just go and buy away tickets because if you get caught being a fan of the opposing team they'll kick you out.

What a game. Just amazing. Passion and professionality from both sides. Notts deserves to get promoted too. Next season I hope. Boreham Wood has given up the fewest goals this season, even fewer than Notts. Their meeting earlier this season was a 1-1 draw at BW. Hopefully, home field advantage helps Wrexham. Barnet has the 3rd highest GF and the earlier season match at Wrexham was a 7-5 shootout in favour of the home side.
The officials were absolutely woeful. So many awful decisions, it looked like they were on the Notts payroll. Our local under 15's officials are more professional!
What an amazing game by two fantastic teams. The officiating, however was WEAK. No penalty call when Mullin was tackled going for a header, the poor offsides call at 4:31 and the Notts County tendie blatantly tripped Mullin at 5:30... then they call a penalty in the last minute of extra time that was soft.... C'mon refs, do better. Your goal should be to call a fair game and not have your calls determine the outcome.
As a neutral, fantastic game, the national league is putting out some great football, more enjoyable than the Premiere league IMHO (saying that as a Spurs fan). Sad to see the officiating is as bad down in the National League as the PL.
