  • NYC circa 2005 and Chef Zak Pelaccio is coming off his successful run at the quirky Chickenbone Cafe in South Williamsburg to open Fatty Crab on Hudson St in the West Village. Zak had lived and eaten his way through Malaysia with his then wife Ana Jovancicevic who was stationed there with a corporate gig. She suggested the concept to him as no one else was doing "rock and roll Malay street food" in NYC. It was a huge hit, spawning tons of good press followed by several other Fatty Crabs opening around town and then, just like that, it all fell apart.

You gotta be out of your mind (or you just hate your own money) to invest a penny into NYC, that corrupt toilet is a waste.
