    Stories with Bruce:
Back in the 60's my dad heard of Lake Havasu, the town was just getting started back then. Didn't even have a High School yet. Was bussing the High School kids to Kingman. My dad wanted to open a HVAC shop as they didn't have one at the time. So we took a trip from the Bootheel of Missouri to check it out. My mom was shocked to not see any grass, anywhere! We were driving around the neighborhoods looking at houses and she saw a beautiful green lawn up the road. That's the kind of yard I want if we move here. Got up to the yard and it was green rocks instead of grass. My mom said that's it, no trees, no grass, we're not moving here. Left town and headed to my uncle's house in Texas to visit.
Side story from Bruce. I was old enough to read the maps we had. I looked and told dad we would be going within @ 100 miles from the Grand Canyon could we go by and let me see it, just take a look then we can go. It didn't happen. So it was a running joke for the rest of his life that we shared that he didn't take me to see the Grand Canyon.
We did get to see the London Bridge blocks with all the numbers on them scattered across the desert.
Thanks for reading. Bruce AKA Moose

With the story's in the video and the story's in the comments this is like a 3 course meal of entertainment!!! Yeah I've driven within however miles that the Grand Canyon is from the interstate probably almost a dozen times but I've still never had a chance to go see it!!!
It's on my bucket list along with going to Moab and gonna try to do the Rubicon Trail at least once more before I can't do stuff like that anymore. (I have traveled it end to end in a Toyota about 3-1/2 times during two separate trips there b4 the summer of 2008,but I haven't been there since b4 I got my Cherokee.)
Hopefully I'll at least be able to go look around Moab during Easter even though I won't be in the Jeep to actually take a lot of the trails but I'll drive on whatever I can with what I'm taking to the car show coming up.

Okay Paul, I really like your channel. You guys do some really cool stuff. I really get a kick out of the way you guys all get along and Michelle does a great job editing...but, I really love Merlin, he is the bomb! He`s right on point about so many things, like once you`ve driven a blown motor natural aspiration just isn`t enough. Or once you`ve driven an alcohol burner gas just ain`t powerful enough. And the yard full of toys, well that just says it all

We were visiting Lake Havasu City in 1995.
We were walking around the area there about 6:00 pm.
What a great place to go see and visit.
There was an older couple there who in WW II always worried about that bridge getting blown up.
They stopped us an asked if we would take a picture of them, in front of the London Bridge in its new location.
What a treat to hear “Old Stories” from times past. A blessing to meet such a loving Older couple… Still in love… too cool!!

Once. After he burns out all over the turf, he's banned, and after driving his cart those electric carts just will not cut it.

Wow.you'r cousin has some cool toys. All those old rust free cars
I love watching your chanel. You inspire me to do work on my 54 Chevy pick up. AKA - O'l Beater. This truck has been in my Garage for 30 years easy. I worked for the airlines. You got it lay offs, strikes etc. I am now retired from American in Miami. And the O'l Beater is getting worked on.thanks to you. I wasn't to tow it to my house in Loretto. Tennessee. The real USA. Thanks for the inspiration. Hi to your cousin!!

We really enjoyed this video. The historical information and stories were great. All this time I thought that "London Bridge" was just a funny children's song! Thankfully it didn't "fall down" while you were driving over it. :)
My wife said that she went to Lake Havasu back in the late 1990's when she was a teenager. Her older brother was living in Kingman at the time.

You won't believe me but that old Chevy truck body next to the Saguaro cactus used to be mine when it was still all in one piece. I sold the frame, motor and under carriage to one person and the body to someone else. I lived in Chino Valley AZ then and was given it by the little old lady across the road from my house. Her husband used to drive it. Wow! that was 37 years ago. I recognize the dent on the back of the cab above the window.

I've been subscribed for quite awhile now, Love the channel... I don't ever recall Paul being so "giddy" looking. He was holding back, but you could definitely see that little kid at Christmas look and glow about him. HP does that to a person. LOL
Definitely one of my top 3 favorite Fab Rat videos of all time. Genuine reactions, you can't script that or act that good! Great job. Can't wait to see it in action.

First time I saw Merlin was on Finnegan's Garage. Shortly before I discovered Fab Rats. He gave an awesome interview about his boat. He is great on camera.

My Sub list is getting longer because you guys introduce us to some cool people. Will be visiting Merlin to see how that mini semi comes alone. Love the old pictures of you and Paul back in the day. My wife and I, with a few friends, did the eight-day rafting trip, back in 2012. I was 60 and one of the youngest on that trip. I too tell people if you have the chance, take it and go, you won't ever forget it. We didn't think we would like Lave Falls but every one of us said the same thing when coming out of it all wet and cold, can we go back and do it again. The oldest person on the trip was 86 years old and on her 14th trip down the river. Thanks for sharing and taking us across the London Bridge.

This was a cool video. Thanks for introducing us to Merlin. We took a 3 week trip to Utah and Arizona this past summer. We had made plans to camp at Whitmore Point on the Grand Canyon which would mean we had to drive through Bar 10 Ranch. We had to change plans and didn’t make it there but it’s cool to hear you had worked there.
