Watching the video, I kept thinking that there was something strangely familiar about it. Then I notice your carpet tile was an exact match to the one I'm standing on! Love the Xero Genesis.
I'm glad you talked about the position of the knot this time. I found through trial and error that for running moving the knot forward reduced the slapping sound these can make on pavement because they are more stable and hug your foot better.
I actually needed this video. My first pair of clouds fitted absolutely perfectly, it must have been by luck, but I recently got a new pair and they just haven't had that glove like invisible shoes feeling my first pair had.
Gee, how can I contact somebody that can help me adjust my genesis? For the life of me, I can't figure out why one foot works, and the other doesn't. My left foot keeps moving to the side while running, so that it hovers over the ground. Right side is super fine. Is there a way to get into contact to see how to fix this?
We recommend contacting our support team at support@xeroshoes.com and include pictures of your sandals on your feet and our team should be able to guide you in getting a more comfortable fit.
That piece should land just in front of the webbing between your 1st and 2nd toe. Make sure you haven't overtightened the heel strap, which would move your foot too far forward. Otherwise, pay attention to "overstriding" (landing with your foot too far in front of you). When you do that, especially if you're landing heel-first, the sandal will touch the ground and stop moving as your foot continues to move forward, which can make you land on top of the toe loop disc. Make sense?
Many of the principles will be the same. That said, we should be getting a video out on how to adjust your H-Trail soon. If you have any questions in the meantime, don't hesitate to contact our support team at support@xeroshoes.com and they can guide you through it.
The pull tab hardware on both sides of the sandals can be loosened up by pulling the laces out through it. More can be adjusted by pulling some of the laces through the side rubber tab as well.
What happens when my foot size is "between shoe size"? I'm an 8.5 regular us size. tried the size 7 and my toes was almost out. bought the #8 and according to this video I have too much space to the toes. What do you suggest? Thanks
Depending on the style, you can trim the excess material to get a more custom fit for your foot length. Length can also be a little bit subjective since we have customers who prefer their toes closer to the edge and some who prefer that extra space, so as long as you have your sandals comfortably adjusted and don't feel like you will be tripping over them, then that should work as well.
@@xeroshoes I'll try because I don't want to fill I've wasted my money. We are talking about the Aqua Cloud. If, according to this video Its important to position the straps in an angle between big toe and second toe - my heel is not close to the end of the sole. If I position my heel close to the end of the sole the strings are in a small angle and the toes a bit far from the front.
@@AyalaTeichman Hmm. Your heel could potentially shift forward more or the heel strap could possibly be adjusted too. I would recommend reaching out to our Customer Happiness team at support@xeroshoes.com with pictures of your sandals and they should be able to offer you more guided feedback as to how to adjust them or what changes might help.
Try adjusting these at night on a run when you are having trouble with them! My advice to anyone considering buying these .. get minimalist sandals with a proper strap and easy adjustment. There are good videos on favorite minimalist sandals.
Our line of sandals includes products with other lacing styles (xeroshoes.com/shop/product-category/sandals/). Typically, with huarache style sandals, once you get the tension the way you like it, there's rarely a need to adjust. (I haven't changed mine in 9 years).
We recommend reaching out to our support team at support@xeroshoes.com and they may be able to offer some sizing or adjustment suggestions for you. Typically, you won't notice the laces between the toes since you won't need to grip them with your toes like a typical pair of thongs, so you may just need a small adjustment to your sandals somewhere to loosen up that area. This could also be related to sizing as well. Feel free to include pictures showing how the sandals fit and that can help our team narrow down some solutions for you.
With our 5,000 mile sole warranty, they could outlast most of your other footwear, so the "net cost" would be even less. We have customers who've been wearing the same Xero Shoes sandal for 6+ years!
Just received the Cloud in the mail. They feel great. Looking forward to hitting some mountain trails this week.

You mean ‘forward’ in terms of toward the toes?

Thank you!!! Very helpful

Awesome your REI has Xeroes. I wonder if ours in Santa Cruz does....
C'était exactement l'explication qu'il me fallait, ces sandales sont une pure merveille !!! C'est une invention de génie !!!
Je suis bien d'accord avec vous
Great timing, just got my Cloud's today!
I really needed this!!! Thank you!

Great video any recommendations for avoiding the pressure from the “hard plastic circular piece” on the bottom of the sandal when running?
-Thankyou 😃

I’m assuming this applies to the H-Trail as well?

@@xeroshoes Thank you. I’ll look for the video although I believe I’ve gotten it right. Still would like to see the proper steps.
Question do the laces on the cloud have a little stretch to them like the genesis laces.
Actually, they're a bit less stretchy
How do you loosen the heel strap?
