I mean it is suppose to be cartoon?
when doing shadowing, have the picture open in another monitor or on your phone. look for the spaces with common shades and try to draw out each segment of shadow.
Ive seen 1001 videos on how to draw on illustrator. somehow you have the best tutorial with far less "explaining". WAY easier to learn. Thank You.

@@Joker42998 you could use the original picture but also just imagine the light source is coming from one angle.
just a lot of practice g after a while u kinda just get a feel for where they should go
use the shadows from the reference photo. you will develop the skill of placing the shadows naturally.
