We all saw Haji's performance against Jamaica on Thursday to win us the game. I was actually working on this video for a while and am definitely impressed by what I have seen this season. He looks very explosive and excellent and generating space to get shots off. We kind of saw this ability on his first goal against Jamaica to create that bit of space to get the shot. He also gets into great positions frequently, I don't have the stats but I bet his xG is pretty high. I would like to see him involved and focused for more of the game. He'll drift out of play a lot and have a ton of avoidable sloppy touches. I had this same critique of him a year ago but at this point he has improved so much of his other game, I don't really mind it anymore. Love to see more striker depth and hope for a great game today!
Coventry fan here, he was off pace and a little bit lost at the start of the season, the championship is a tough tough league but since putting him on the left he has started to flourish and gain in confidence. I cannot wait to see what he achieves next season now he has the understanding of what is expected of him.
Championship is not far off from the top five - I don't care what they say. Any of the top 10 Championship teams could compete in any league in Europe.
With respect, Haji has struggled at times with the speed and intensity of the Championship. He has been, at times, very erratic, however the form he hit halfway was impressive. I can assure you, The Championship is a division unlike any other in the world. He did well to get 19 in all competitions, and I expect him to progress next season with a bit more quality around him at Coventry. If Coventry hadn’t been distracted and fatigued by the FA Cup run, they would have finished in the play offs, without doubt.
